The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Temple of Time (remix)

In an unknown place...

The church had dim lighting, the ancient architecture gave the place an ominous vibe as well. There, many hooded figures clad in white robes were organizing a meeting.

Cultist 1: My lord... One of our brethren hasn't returned. It's been a day since then.

Cultist 2: He was meant to return from his mission at night.

???: God told everything.

Cultist 1: M-my lord?

???: He was killed by a someone known as Frostwraith, the one who defeated the Master.

Cultist 2: No...

???: But fear not, my brethren. His death was not in vain. His soul now rests in God's realm for all his pure deeds. Just like us, his mission was one of purification. Frostwraith may have defeated the Master and the Dark Ones, but he is impure and his only salvation is death. He may have killed one of our brethren, but he will soon know that God's wrath will yield his inevitable doom...

-----------
Fire Emblem: Awakening - "Here we are! The Shepherds' garrison"

Just as planned, Frostwraith went to the Shadow Agents' meeting.

Shadow Agent 1: Ah, you must be Frostwraith.

Frostwraith: Yes... Well, this is an odd dimension. All that exists is just a building...

Shadow Agent 1: Indeed, this is our base of operations created by our founder. This has been the central base of operations for the Shadow Agents. Only those with the teleportation scroll can access this place, so don't lose it.

Frostwraith: Understood. Well, I'll be going.

A few minutes later, at the meeting...

Silverflame: This is our new recruit, Frostwraith. Like I had reported yesterday, he's a descendant of the founder of our organization. (to Frostwraith)

Frostwraith: I look forward to cooperating with you.

Luxeld: Well met, Frostwraith. I am the current chief of the Shadow Agents, Luxeld. Now, you may already be aware of this, but shortly after the Master was defeated, dimensional rifts have started to appear in several different places. They are highly unstable and disrupt the balance of the worlds we seek to protect.

Frostwraith: Yes, a rift just like you described appeared yesterday in my mansion's yard. I managed to close it, but a mysterious man in white robes attacked me, claiming I needed to be purified and attempted to kill me. I had no other choice but to defend myself. He had powerful light magic and claimed to be fighting in the name of God.

Shadow Agent 2: Hmm... A member of that cult...

Frostwraith: (shocked) A cult?!

Shadow Agent 3: They have begun to appear on Earth. They dress in white robes and I've got a few reports that they kidnap people, attack any religious place and have also tried to kill people. I had confronted with one of them and they had the exact same behavior as you described.

Shadow Agent 2: Their numbers have been increasing drastically in the last few days. There are rumors that they brainwash the people they kidnap into following them too...

Luxeld: Given that you dealt with a similar organization, the Dark Ones and their Master, we considered in finding you, Frostwraith. There had been rumors among people in your world about a long lost descendant of the Frostwraith family, we decided to investigate.

Frostwraith: I understand. I will help you in anyway as possible.

Luxeld: I appreciate it. We don't know where do these cultist hide or meet, but we know that there's a connection between the rifts and them, as reports we received on them began on the same day. Furthermore, thanks to you, we know they cross those rifts in order to reach other worlds. Their activity seems primarily on Earth, which is why I ask you if you don't mind going there and finding any clues...

Frostwraith: Yes, I could do it.

Luxeld: Very good. I'm counting on you.

The meeting proceeded with other agents being assigned missions as well.

The next day, Frostwraith headed to Earth...

"New York... I sense a strange power coming from here. There seems to be a rift somewhere on this city. I must check out what's going on..."

-------------
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Temple of Time (remix)

At an unknown place...

Cultist 1: My lord, one of our spies has spotted a man that matches Frostwraith's description.

???: He is on Earth as well? Show no mercy. God demands him to be killed. Only then, he will be purified.

Cultist 1: It shall be done, my lord. (leaves)

???: Could he have known were he came from? So, the rumors are true... But it matters not... Though he may have defeated the Master, he will struggle against the true forces of God...

==========
A group of fanatics plot to kill Frostwraith, who just became a Shadow Agent. During the meeting, it was revealed to Frostwraith the mysterious cult and the dimensional rifts appeared around the same time, shortly after the Master's defeat... Coincidence?

"That sound... is that"?

Xiroey coaxed Charizard forward, giving his hand a light tug.

"It's okay. You'll be fine, I promise".

Xiroey led Charizard out of the cave entrance, a flash of lightning greeted them as they made their way to the ledge.

"X-xiro, I don't..."

A lightning bolt zigzagged across the sky. Charizard jumped, he almost fell off the ledge. Thankfully Xiroey was there catch him.

"It's starting". Xiroey said, as he pulled Charizard back up.

A light rain started to sprinkle down. Charizard froze as the first raindrop hit him. Then two more plopped down on his nose. Then five. Soon it started to rain really hard. Charizard was still frozen, it took another tug on his arm before he was able to move again.

"I don't understand" Charizard said.

He felt perfectly fine. The rain was beating down on him and he still felt fine.

"It's probably been a while since you've felt the rain, hasn't it"?

"...Not since the first day I became a pokemon" Charizard said after he calmed down a bit. He sat down with Xiroey on the ledge. The rain felt cold. And wet. Charizard kind of liked how the rain felt. It reminded him a bit of the human world.

"Hey Xiroey" Charizard said after they'd sat quietly for a while.

"Yeah"?

"Thanks... for starting a new explorer team with me that is"

Was charizard finally opening up to him?

"Are you kidding? Beign part of an explorer team, traveling the world, meeting new people and pokemon? No way I'd pass that up! Besides..."

Charizard gave him a questioning look "besides"?

"Besides" Xiroey said again, then he gave Charizard a tight hug.

Xiroey woke up from his dream. He didn't want it to end. He wanted to hug charizard longer.

Bright light shone in his face. Sunlight peeped through the crack in the curtain. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He was back in his room. It wasn't much, just a bed, a window, and a dresser, but it was the first real home he'd had in a long time.

"It's been two months since Charizard started an explorer team with me. I wonder how he's doing now"

Xiroey got out of bed. He didn't know why he was talking to himself. Maybe it was because he missed Charizard. He had to leave to take care of things at impact. He was officially resigning as a general. The tight political life was starting to take its toll on Charizard, he'd been a part of impact for a long time. He fought countless battles with them, nearly all of them ending in victory. He was one of the best generals impact had. Yet leading an army was tiring work, moreso... It just wasn't the kind of thing Charizard was cut out for. Deep down, he longed for the feel of adventure.

That was what Charizard told him the day he asked him to join his team.

"...Better get ready. Chaos is going to want to talk to me soon"

He didn't need to put on clothes. That was one of the percs of being a latios. You just imagined whatever it was you wanted to wear and illusions took care of the rest.

Well...

That wasn't exactly true. Xiroey wasn't a regular latios. When he transformed, his coat was black, not blue. His eyes were deep purple, and had the faintest glow to them. And in his human form, Xiroey actually had the ability to talk and walk around. Xiroey was one of the only latios in the world that actually transformed when he turned into a human, it wasn't just some smoke and mirrors trick.

Because of that, the clothes he wore were real too. He still didn't understand where they came from. All he knew was that he imagined himself in his new gettup. Smokey grey pants, a black leather jacket with torn sleeves, and a pink shirt underneath becasuse screw it, pink was manly. And he was good to go.

"Yeah. I feel like going punk today. Can't imagine why".

He left the room and came into a long marble corridor.

This was the new hyrule castle. Chaos had done a bit of redecorating. All the old statues of King Hylia were gone. Instead, Chaos decided to plant small trees around the castle. Xiroey thought the small oak tree near his room in particular looked a bit odd sitting right there. It was a little strange, seeing a potted tree sitting by itself, when everything else was made of stone.

"Good day to you clark" Xiroey said to the tree. He made sure to greet the tree every morning. It never said anything back, but he figured it liked being greeted anyway.

He climbed down a flight of stairs, coming into the main hall. This was where Chaos was supposed to meet him.

His dad was late.

That didn't surprise him. Chaos was always busy, it wasn't really a surprise that he was always late to things.

He stood there for another five minutes. The hall was still empty. He heard a rumbling noise behind him and instantly recognized stormy walking into the lobby.

"Hi... Xiro..." Stormy yawned.

"Hey. You take the front door"?

"Yeah. I'm really glad they built that. Makes coming and going a lot easier".

"I bet. It was practically impossible to get you in here before".

"Dad says I'm getting fat" Stormy growled.

"Bah, ignore him. You're just... big is all".

"I'm fat" Stormy said dejectedly.

"You're just grumpy because you just woke up" Xiroey laughed.

Stormy was always like this in the morning.

"Hello Xiroey. Stormy. I see you've been making use of the new door".

"Dad!" Stormy roared. The whole building began to quake. Stormy instantly went quiet. "...sorry"

"That's quite alright. I'm looking to get these walls fixed up anyway... It's a bit too echoeey in here"

"So that thing you wanted to talk to us about"? Xiroey reminded him.

"Right, there was something. Come right this way".

...The stairs groaned as stormy tried to put his weight on them

"...you might want to make youself small stormy"

"...Right" he said, then transformed. "lead the way".

Richard: Well.... there's the lab just as it was before......

(Something about the Arcadia startles him)

Wesker: What is it? There's nothing suspicious to keep away from.

Richard: Something is amiss, the time we were gone, someone else could have been on the arcadia and stumbled upon the lab, albert.

Wesker: Just as I gave you the purge accelerator shortly after developing it, I ordered two of my security men to cut the rope in case anyone would try to climb up to the ship. Now there's something I wanted to tell you, remember that short quarrel me and you got into shortly after discovering time travel?

Richard: I do somewhat remember it. Why Is there something you didn't tell me?

Wesker: Yes there is, it has to do with you and that one monster-like thing that wanted to assist you in taking me down.

Richard: I hardly remember what it was. Did you do something sneaky? Dang it wesker I thought we put all of the evil-plotting behind us?

Wesker: That's not what I was hinting at, don't jump to conclusions, anyway I wanted to show you something, I think you'll be hesitant at first but it'll be a new friend to you and a new recruit, let's go to the ship without delay.

(Richard and Wesker take one of umbrella's aircrafts and fly it directly toward arcadia. they arrive within two minutes)

Richard: Steady now, we don't want the aircraft to malfunction, just balance the aircraft by landing on the cargo holder.

Wesker: I know how to fly these things, alright.

(Wesker lands the aircraft on two cargo holders spaced apart)

Richard: okay let's go to the lab.

(Richard and Wesker shortly arrive in the lab)

Wesker: It's over here.

(Wesker picks up a red and white capsule and hands it to Richard)

Richard: A pokeball?! These things don't exist in our realm wesker!

Wesker: Try throwing it so it can release your ally, after all I had my men convince the pocket monster to come back to the lab, it's waited for you all this time, I don't think it wants to wait any longer.

Richard: I don't know how a pocket monster would look like in our realm Wesker, maybe we should wait until we meet up with luco, xiroey and the others before I find out what's inside this.

(Wesker has given Richard a pokeball that was put in the lab, but Richard decides to wait until he gets back to the pokemon realm to find out what's inside the capsule he's been given.)

Worlds Eternally Linked

=======
Frostwraith ran across the streets of New York, sensing the strange power and following its source.

Frostwraith: (thinking) I'm getting closer to the power source... I have a bad feeling about this...

Meanwhile, on top of a skyscraper...

Cultist 1: (whispering) Oh Lord, allow me to borrow thy strength...

The cultist aims at Frostwraith, firing his sniper. The bullet nearly hits him, passing just in front of him.

Frostwraith: (thinking) Damn it... Someone is trying to kill me... I have no choice but stop the time for a few seconds so I can get the hell out of here...

Stopping time for five seconds, Frostwraith managed to hide from the cultist's line of sight.

Cultist 1: He vanished! Curse his witchcraft! It pains me that a fellow child of God would go down such evil path... But I cannot falter my lord... Our mission is clear... And it's my pride and joy to see it accomplished...

Frostwraith headed underground.

Frostwraith: I should be safe here... Hmm... I'm getting closer to the power source...

Shadow Agent: (via telepathy) Frostwraith, can you hear me?

Frostwraith: (thinking) Inter-dimensional telepathy, huh? (responding) Yes?

Shadow Agent: One of our spies has just reported that subway trains in New York started to mysteriously disappear since yesterday.

Frostwraith: Bingo.

Shadow Agent: Huh?

Frostwraith: I happen to be on New York's subway. There's a strong source of power coming from here. It's what I suspected: a dimensional rift.

Shadow Agent: All right, we will leave it to you.

Frostwraith: Got it.

Frostwraith approached the power source, finding the rift.

Frostwraith: So... Here you are... (preparing a spell) The rift is highly unstable... I can only seal it, but it will re-emerge in a few days. (telepathically) I need an agent to keep an eye on this rift. I will send the inter-dimensional coordinates via telepathy.

Shadow Agent: We got this.

Frostwraith: (using spell) Damn this... This is highly unstable... Not even my sealing magic can handle this! (cancels spell) This only worsened things... (sarcasm) Great... (suddenly shocked, feeling overwhelming amount of power) What the? Crap, it's going to explode!

Frostwraith teleported away, escaping the explosion that devastated the subway station. Fortunately, there was no one there at the time.

Frostwraith contacted the authorities, who suspended all lines passing through that station. Evidently, this caused a major disruption in the city's underground network.

--------------
Meanwhile, at an unknown place...

Cultist 1: I have failed my mission, my lord.

???: Have no fear nor shame, brother. We will win. God's will shall always prevail.

Cultist 1: Your words are too kind...

???: We are all equal as God's children. We have to stick together and accomplish our mission.

Cultist 1: Of course, my lord. I shall take my leave, then. (leaves)

Cultist 2: My lord, our spies have spotted rather abnormal events.

???: Abnormal events?

Cultist 2: Yes, my lord. One of them has witnessed a young man transforming into a weapon and other of our brethren has witnessed a person enveloping himself in blue flames...

???: Such stains in God's humble world! We shall eliminate them!

--------
Meanwhile, on the Sinnoh region of the Pokémon world...

Cultist 3: This is where that rift guided us...? What are these creatures? Is that someone calling them forth? Female, blonde, clad in black clothing... I shall report this to our lord...

---------
In another place...

Cultist 4: This ought to be some kind of mockery of our lord's words! A white winged angel and a black winged angel who look exactly alike... This place may look like heaven, but it's a farce!

--------
Four days later, at the Shadow Agent's headquarters...

Frostwraith: After I explored the city for a while, I found some of those cultists heading towards the Statue of Liberty. They wrote something I couldn't understand completely, but mentioned someone known as Chaos...

Luxeld: Interesting. We will investigate, in the meanti--

Shadow Agent: Bad news! There were two explosions on Earth exactly at the same time. One in Japan and another in a place known as Death City.

Frostwraith: WHAT?!

Shadow Agent: What's more is that some of our spies in other worlds have witnessed those white robed cultists on the Pokémon world and on Angel Land.

Frostwraith: Now, there's definitely a connection between those cultists and the rifts...

Luxeld: We must act, then. Frostwraith, I'm counting on you to investigate those recent happenings. If you happen to come across a cultist and fight, try to keep him alive and bring him to our headquarters.

Frostwraith: Understood.

------------
Meanwhile, at an unknown place...

Cultist 5: My lord, the operation was successful.

???: They will soon know to bear the weight of their crimes... It's no use to resort to such vile sorcery or attempt to tarnish God's image... No matter what our enemies do... They cannot kill the Messiah.

Cultist 6: Yes, my lord... It is quite as you say. No one will harm you, the one who hears the voice of God... The chosen one to wield God's power and carry out the divine will...

The Messiah: Well then, let us plan our next move... We shall give our next step in purifying this world.

Frostwraith investigates the mysterious power source in New York. As he headed towards it, he's attacked by a cultist who tried to kill him with a sniper. Upon finding out the power source was a dimensional rift, Frostwraith finds it unstable and impossible to close. Attempting to merely seal it, the rift explodes.

Upon returning to the Shadow Agents' HQ, Frostwraith is informed that Japan, Death City, the Pokémon world and Angel Land were all attacked at the same time.

Meanwhile, the mysterious cult makes their next move on what they call the "Purification Mission"...

So after a long hiatus, I have returned! So, y’all ready for this? *mixtape begins*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The blast took out the Master while he screamed wildly until he was smoke.

It was done… Chaos thought Nobody stands in my way now…

Dimentio slowly floated near Chaos.

“Go away Dimentio, I am already pissed off at you.” Chaos demanded without a glance of Dimentio. He then teleported back to New Hyrule.

He glanced at Xiroey who looked upset. Off at a distance, he noticed Charizard flying away from Xiroey. Chaos eyebrows furrowed as he walked towards his son. Xiroey looked up to see Chaos and his face lit up. They hugged each other with nobody except Stormy, noticing.

Once they finally let go of each other, Chaos and Xiroey looked at each other with good measure. Then Chaos surveyed the area and went up to Xiroey and whispered, “Once you finish saying good bye to your friends, I would like Stormy and you to come by. The time for memories is over, now we have work.”

He looked into Xiroeys face as he nodded. Chaos smiled warmly as he ruffled his sons’ hair. He took a step back and teleported elsewhere.

“I have this gut feeling…” Stormy said as Master Hands Army hugged, smiled, and waved good bye at one another.

“What?”

“I feel as though we have to kill them…” Stormy had said once Luco noticed the two off to the side. He walked up to Xiroey with an innocent smile as Xiroey felt dizzy.

NEW HYRULE

Chaos felt his surroundings coming to him. The neutral colors of the Main Council appeared in his eye sight. He shook his head and looked at the eyes of the Council Room surround him.

“Are yo-“

“WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU DIMENTIO?!” Chaos roared in the room.

Naoi gestured towards the door.

“They want you Muhti.” Naoi said.

“What do they want this time?” Chaos questioned as he proceeded to go through the doors. Dimentio stopped him once more by teleporting in front of the room.

“DI-“

“Sir, with all due respect, why don’t you let him talk?” L interrupted. Chaos glared at L.

“L. Leave.” Chaos pointed to the door, “and don’t come back. I don’t need people like you interfering with me. NOW LEAVE!” Chaos shouted.

It was Lights turn, “HEY! HE WAS OFFERING SOMETHING! INSTEAD OF BEING THE EGO MANIAC YOU ARE, WHY DON’T YOU LISTEN TO YOUR BOARD?!”

Embroiled by Light, he revealed his true self and rammed himself with his swords outwards against one of his advisors, instantly killing him.

L, horrified, quickly left the room before he became another one of Chaos targets. Luigi and Naoi watched the madman turn back into his human form. A silence hung in the room until Chaos spoke up, “Anybody else want to screw around with me?”

His demanding voice was not enough; he looked tired, sick, crazy, sad and angry all in one facial expression.

Naoi worriedly looked at Chaos, who was slipping into the chair, “I’ll deal with the General Board.”

Chaos nodded as he closed his eyes for a little while.

Dimentio looked at Chaos, and realized what was going on. Chaos cared for his son and for his son to detach from this group to kill them, was harsh on both of them. Dimentio looked Light, the second victim of Chaos madness.

Who was next on Chaos list?

BOARD MEETING

“TELL THAT LAZY LEADER TO GET OUT HERE!”

“THIS ORGANIZATION HAS BECOME MORE FACIST THAN EVER BEFORE!”

“DOWN WITH MUHTI! UP WITH MASTER HANDS ARMY!”

Shouts were exchanged by different representatives of their respective planets/galaxies. Naoi listened to the entire rumble caused by these people until finally…

“ENOUGH!” the timid Luigi thundered as everybody looked at the plumber with shook. Luigi nodded to Naoi to speak.

“As you are aware, Muhti is not here.”

Boos were given to that statement.

“Muhti has undergone a lot of stress with the war. We are pulling out troops as of now and Muhti shall rest up from the hand-to-hand combat with the Master. He will then address you all from there.”

CHAOS

“Daddy! Teach me how you made that sandstorm!”

Chaos looked at the young Xiroey and smiled warmly

“Well son, you have to think carefully on how to do it…”

They had stayed in silence for a while while Xiroey glorified what his father was doing. A sandstorm then brewed up in the middle of the Sahara while two men with their camel were walking in the havoc.

Xiroey laughed at what his father did while Chaos smiled at his son.

---------------------

“We are reporting to you live at lower Manhattan, where a plane had struck…………”

---------------------

“You think he is okay?”

“Yes…”

The companion shook Chaos, “Wake up Chaos…”

Chaos looked, “huh?”

“I said, WAKE UP!”

MAIN COUNCIL ROOM

“Chaos get up, come on…”

Dimentio violently shook Chaos.

“Huh what?” Chaos had stated.

“You have been knocked out for 3 hours…”

Chaos checked his watch, “oh”

He stood up and brushed off his attire.

“You have a whole board to address…”

“Yes I do…”

“But I still didn’t get to say what I to say.”

“Hm?” Chaos remembered the incident and realized he had killed one of his own. He shuddered at the thought.

“You have to go back in time. To save Muhti.” Dimentio suggested.

“Ah yes! Thank you Dimentio for reminding me!” Chaos then teleported away while Dimentio tapped his foot for five seconds, then his leader teleported back.

“Done!” Chaos then held out the Chaos Emeralds he stole from the Master.

Dimentio smirked, “Nice job!”

“Now, I must administer the crowd…”

BOARD MEETING

Chaos entered the room where the representatives were silently talking to one another. Once they realized Chaos made it up to the podium, they each stood up. Some saluted, while others did not.

He then ushered the crowd to sit down.

“Hello everybody. Today we risen as vi-“

“ENOUGH OF THE PETTY TALK! STEP DOWN!” a representative demanded.

Chaos cleared his throat, “Excuse me, ahem, as I was saying, I plan to stay as a dictator until we capture another part of the Dark Ones. I have now evidence on how the beloved Master Hands Army is meddling with us and is siding with the Dark Ones…”

Chaos stepped aside as the voice recording rolled. The voices were low, but still hearable

VOICE RECORDINGS

“WHO’S HERE TO MESS WITH ME?! THE OMEGA!”

“Sir, one of your members is here…”

Maris voice appeared, “Sir, we should keep an eye on the United Galaxies Army, they seem prepared to launch a full scale attack.”

“Hmph, it seems as though we have a true opposition, we need you to look like the heroes of this…”

“My Lord, I have found a recorder.” A cultist said.

“DESTROY IT! WE HAVE SPIES ABOARD!”

“Yes Master.”

The voice recording became scratchy afterwards as the hologram went away. Chaos returned to the podium

BOARD MEETING

“As you can see, Master Hands Army has been meddling with the Dark Ones business. They are merely a proxy for the Dark Ones if they were to fall.”

“I CALL BULLOCKS!” the representative from Earth shouted, “the people of Earth will continue to riot against your forces until you leave! We shall leave this organization and align ourselves with Master Hands Army!”

There was a short round of applause.

“You dare to call upon war on behalf of your world? IN THIS BOARD ROOM?!” Chaos shouted. If it wasn’t for the news crew, Chaos would have killed the representative.

“LEAVE THIS FACILITY! AND WE SHALL LAUNCH A FULL SCALE OPERATION TO PUT EARTH ONTO CHAINS FOR JOINING WITH THE DARK ONES! WE ALSO WILL SEND TROOPS TO SCOUT FOR ANY OF MASTER HANDS ARMYS MEMBERS!” Chaos shouted. Security guards walked to Earths representative and dragged him away.

“AND IF ANY OF YOU FOLLOW SUIT! YOU SHALL MEET THE SAME HELL THAT EARTH WILL EXPERIENCE!”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After Chaos displayed a fake recording of the Master and a rep. for MHA, Earth defied Chaos claims. He then places a ruling to make sure Earth is kept clean of MHA members as well as kept on tight security. How will this turn out for Mari in London and Frostwraith in Manhattan? And will any galaxy/planet follow along with Earth?

amidst the flaming corridor, the three remaining members of the survey team stood in awe at the remnants of what the dalek-byproduct supersoldiers could do...

finally, future xiroey spoke...

"i can't believe it..."

"THE LE-GEND OF SMASHBOARDS, DE-FEA-TED WITH SUCH EASE..."

marceline remained silent, turning to face their robotic opposition.

she shot a gaze that could make one suffer heart failure at the towering automatons of alien alloy.

at last, she spout a grim...

"that TEARS it..."

she threw her axe at one of the soldiers... well, yeah, it deflected off him, but you get the point...

she caught her axe quickly, and stated to the supersoldiers.

"i can handle everything you sick dark one freaks are doing to us." she said, not lifting her wrathful gaze.

"disturbing the peace between the dimensions, slaughtering thousands of innocent lives..." she then gestured to the dalek. "even the twisted little experiments you've been conducting on these trashcans on wheels!."

"A-HEM. I RE-SENT THAT..."

she then flew all up in the middle supersoldier's face, glaring daggers into it's cold optic sensors

"but when you **** with my friends, THAT'S when heads start to roll!"

future xiroey was concerned that the loss of smashfan may have prodded a psychological motion-sensor bomb, which only manifested as a blunt, yet truthful.

"trachcan on wheels, remind me never to get her mad..."

marceline floated down to her comrades. this was now personal...

wipe to battle sequence...

Time for Earth!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Here again.

Luco stood next to Del on a cliff beside the sea on the Australian coast. His pokemon were there but he knew they'd have to retreat into pokeballs for him to be able to travel around the world. Then again, it's changed so much that maybe...

He stood with the breeze coming at him for a time.

"Luco!" 3 minds pushed into his head at once.

"Hi guys. It's been a while hm?" Luco thought to his other guardians. "Hold on, we'll make our way to you." Around him, 3 flashes of light and the respective guardians of air, earth and fire, Alyse, Kanze and Liha, appeared before him. "Funny new look you have there, Luco." Kanze remarked. Luco hadn't realised how much he'd changed. "Who is this, too?" Liha looked questionably at Del. "Ah right. That thing." Luco felt tired all of a sudden. "You look like you could be brothers, honestly." Alyse compared the two. "That's probably because we are."

Luco explained the concept behind the Dark guardians. "That's silly, or else we'd remember it, right?" Kanze said.

"I thought that too. Trust me, if you try to remember those days, you'll get a blank. I suspect all of your guardians are working on a way to set the curse free, but for now we can't enter their dimensions unless they invite us in. I got freakishly lucky in a lot of different ways for this to happen."

"Wow..."

"Anyway, Earth has definitely changed since i've been away. I knew the ordeal with the multiverses affected here, but I didn't realise it would do that so drastically. Earth has full on spaceships now, I hear?"

"They've already found out how they can sustain life on mars. They're building facilities there as we speak that will allow for humans."

"What have we done, I wonder?" Luco looked back out to sea. "Hmph. What have you done? You left us for ages and severely changed the course of this world. You messed with the natural order of our intended roles on this planet." Liha flared.

"Yes, I saved the earth and everyone in it. Are you happy now? If this is how I get thanked then maybe I should go again."

"Fine. Irregardless, we were put under substantial risk of having to intervene even further. Your help could have been appreciated-"

"And without it I was a defining factor in stopping the end of all things. We all had a part to play in this; just because I wasn't in my designated role doesn't mean I wasn't helping."

Alyse broke in. "Look, I think we should all cool off a bit. Luco travels; its his thing, but I don't think he's doing the wrong thing by earth in doing so, even if it seems stressful for us. He always has earth's best interests at heart, right Luco?"

He didn't answer for a second. "I think so."

"Look, we'll leave you for a while to do your thing. Just, try to think, okay?" Kanze turned around to exit the cliff. "Mm." Luco responded absent-mindedly.

They left Luco on the edge of the cliff. Is earth my responsibility anymore? What would be my purpose otherwise?

He continued his contemplation for some time.

A young fellow in jeans, casual shirt and backpack walked through the streets of New York. Looking up at the sky, he remarked its greyness. Even I don't like this rain. I wonder what's going on here. Everything feels... weird. Another in similar attire next to him gave off a similar expression. "We should continue on, Luco."

They noticed soldiers in the streets. "I don't like this, Del." Luco stepped to one side as someone in military unifrom walked past him. He didn't pay attention to Luco, thankfully. "Who are they out for anyway?" Del and Luco walked together under an umbrella Luco decided to purchase at a nearby station. "Who has been taking such an active interest in Earth since we left? I think we should check out the pokeworld, I want to see if this is affecting other places."

The two disappeared off the streets of New York, leaving only an umbrella behind in the rain.

Funny, Luco having a big talk about responsibility in that context. Anywho, i'm going to let other people write some stuff for now and then i'll write back in when I have a better idea of how we'll develop everything. Currently in the pokeworld.

"GodDAMN you, Chaos."

The young girl switched off the TV and sighed. Getting up from the blue beanbag she was sitting on, she walked over to a mirror on the side of her bed. Long black hair framed her face, and two sharp, intelligent eyes the color of gold stared back at her.

No.

She couldn't just stand here and let Muh--Chaos rain down hell on her home. Earth had been through too much already.

Even if...she didn't really have a home here anymore...or a purpose.

No purpose?

Mari had no purpose.

Well...that wasn't true. She...she had to find her brother. Eric.

But because of him, she couldn't even do that.

What is my purpose?

"Room Service!"

"Coming."

Not just yet. She threw on her white coat and checked her hair. Her bag of personal things was still thrown carelessly to one side and she almost tripped over it. She walked passed one wall pegged with dozens of newspaper clippings, with pins and string connecting them to one another. Strewn across the whole thing were small sticky notes written by her. The newspaper clippings were of Muhti's dictatorship and other, seemingly unrelated issues from across the globe. All the the strings came back to Muhti, whose picture was covered by a sticky note that said: "Chaos In Control."

Mari opened the door and a women in her mid-twenties in a hotel uniform greeted her. "Your breakfast, miss." The women didn't seem British, which struck her as odd, but she took the cart nonetheless. "Um...excuse me?"

"Yes?" Mari said.

"Are you the one who overpaid your stay?"

"Oh, I took care of that." Mari smiled. "You don't have to worry about it."

The women didn't give off a reaction. "So...you are the one they call Mari?"

"Umm...yes?"

The women smiled. Coldly.

And then she heard the sound of a blade being unsheathed.

Mari didn't waste any time flipping over the cart so that it crashed into her attacker. As soon as she was down, she knocked away the dagger from her hand with a force spell, and quickly prepared another one to constrict her movement. Mari's eyes changed from black to blue as she psychically pinned the fake hotel employee to the wall.

"Ya know, this isn't really how I pictured my morning to turn out." Mari sighed, and then quickly gave the women a sly smile. "But I guess this is better than doing nothing all day."

"You must repent for your sins against humanity!" The women wildly accused.

"Oh, jeez, here we go again. Haven't you heard? Your little cult disbanded a few days ago, as soon as the Master was obliterated." Mari stated calmly. "You've lost. Just give up and go home."

"I...am not a Dark One. I carry with me God's Light!" The women took off her uniform to reveal white robes underneath. "You...you must die. Please."

"Please?"

"Your death would benefit the whole of the human race."

Mari blinked. "Ooookaaay. This is new. Who exactly are you working for?"

"I am asking you, please, you would be doing us a great service. Please, allow yourself to be purified in the healing light of God."

"Who are you working--ugh, you know what? Never mind. You're nuts and you ruined my breakfast." Mari opened a portal which led to a random location. She didn't really care where the cultist ended up. I've had enough of these lunatics to last me a lifetime, she thought.

"No! Don't turn your back on God! You can still be saved!" The cultist women screamed.

"Nope. See ya!"

With a flick of her wrist, Mari threw the cultist into the portal, and as she closed it, she could hear her scream in anguish. "Jeez, lady, calm down. God." Mari whispered to herself.

The young girl sighed and headed back to her room, locking the door. She fell back on her bed and stared at the ceiling. Mari slowly played with the badge that Magolor gave her and the rest of the group before they went back home. It was a simple picture of a white shield with multiple angel wings adorning the back and front. Magolor said that the badges themselves reflected one's true heart and personality, so each of them was different. The only thing stayed constant was a large S.

Maybe that's my purpose? To fight for what's right? Nah, too cheesy. It can't be just that.

Something's missing.

And then there's the whole Muhti and Chaos thing...

And that cultist...

Not to mention my brother...

Eric...

She still remembered with stunning clarity what happened that night, even thought she was still a toddler at the time. Throughout the whole village, there was fire. Hooded figures everywhere. Screaming, pain and death filled the air. Her brother, running as fast as his childish legs would carry him, carrying her into the night. Her parents--

Her parents dead, sacrificed themselves to save their own children...

And then she lost Eric.

And then she died as well, and as she drifted through death, she had spoken with her mother's spirit, and she told her what she and Eric were.

The Last Guardians.

But what does that mean?

Before she could ask, Gliscor brought her back with his miracle cure.

Huh, I wonder how he's doing...?

Wonder how Sonic and Magolor are doing, too...and Xiroey...and Frostwraith...

Richard and Wesker...Fire...Luco...Smashfan...

And Muhti...as much as I despise him...I wonder if he's OK...

But...now with this...supposed "evidence" that is clearly fake...

Mari groaned in frustration and hit her face with a fluffy white pillow. Too many questions and nothing to go on, Chaos had effectively pinned her down. How was she going to get to Tokyo now? She didn't have time to prepare a long-distance teleportation spell. She needed to act NOW.

Why me? She wondered. Why use me as an example? Frostwraith was the one who killed the Master. Why use me?

How long was Chaos in control? Is Muhti in there, somewhere, fighting for control of his body? Was...

Was there ever even a "Muhti"?

No, don't be stupid. Muhti IS in there somewhere.

And...something tells me I have do something to save him.

It...always comes down to the two of us at some point--

"AAAARGH!" A sharp pain shot across her head, her mind reeling. Something, something was trying to worm it's way into her mind, something sharp and resounding, something painful and vengeful, rage and something something something--

"NO! Whatever you are, get out!" Mari shouted. It happened so suddenly that she wasn't prepared at all and couldn't put up her mental defenses in time. Mari tried to force it out, put up all kinds of walls, but nothing was working, the...thing only fought harder, and the pain increased tenfold. She felt like her head was going to split apart...!

St...op...

No! Get out!

Stop it...
I said get OUT!

For god's sake, woman, stop f****** struggling and let me through!

Never--wait, who...?

Let me help you.

Who are you!?

You're being attacked, and you want to know who--damnit!

Another sharp wave of pain wracked her entire body, and Mari cried out in agony.

How do I know you're not the one who's doing this!?

Shut the hell up and let me help you before your whole mindset falls apart! You don't have a choice!

Nnngh...

Mari threw the doors to her mind wide open, and whatever wanted in and whoever wanted to help clashed in battle. She couldn't see what was going on, but she heard fighting sounds, something snarling and growling, and then she heard flapping sounds, like wings, and then she heard an ear-piercing, inhuman scream and flesh tearing and--

Silence. The pain subsided and she sighed with relief.

Mari could hear someone breathing heavily, and checked to see if there was anyone else in her room. She was alone.

No...you're not...

Mari turned around.

There was a man in a black trench coat, bleeding heavily in several places, sitting haphazardly against her dresser. The stranger had long, poofy black hair, with a small red loop of yarn tied to it, a small beard and reflective glasses that didn't show his eyes. His shirt, which was gray, had black lines and a white box on the front, was torn here and there, and his black baggy pants were just as shredded. One of his black combat boots was missing.

She had no idea how he got there. But quick deduction told her that this was the person who had saved her mind.

"Brilliant deduction, Holmes." The man chuckled in dry amusement as he found his other boot. Mari could clearly hear his voice with her ears now and found that it was the same one as before.

"You can hear my thoughts?"

"I'm in your head now, what do you think?" The man said sarcastically.

"You're right in front of me, does that mean that only I can see you?"

"And hear me. Another brilliant deduction. You should be a detective."

"I can't tell if you're being serious."

"Good." The man shifted to one side and groaned in pain. Mari could feel that he wasn't in a good mood.

"Are you OK?"

A pulse of confusion from the man, Mari was sure of that. Perhaps she could sense his feelings? He didn't say anything for a few minutes. Then...

"You're seriously asking me?"

"You're bleeding on the carpet, dude, of course I'm gonna ask if you're OK!"

"Well, do something, if you're that worried!" The man yelled back angrily.

Mari scoffed and snapped her fingers. All at once, a green light enveloped the stranger and all of his injuries were gone. More pulses of confusion, along with surprise. Huge surprise.

"How the f--"

"Stop cursing, it's wrong. And I'm sort of special." Mari cut him off.

The man continued to stare at her, as if he couldn't believe for a minute what she had done.

"Why are you surprised?" Mari asked.

He blinked, at least Mari got the idea he did, and seemed to regain his composure. "...Hmm. I've never met someone like you..."

"Yeah, I have that effect on most people." The girl laughed wholeheartedly. "It's like...I don't know. Ha."

The man was silent for a few seconds. Then he started to laugh. And for some strange reason, Mari could feel something cold go down her spine when he did.

Oh, great, he's insane. Perfect. This is exactly what I needed.

Suddenly the man stopped laughing and a cold expression was on his face. "I heard that." His tone was equally as cold. "And maybe I am what you need."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Oh, I don't know, what do you think?" His voice was sarcastic again.

"I asked you first."

"And I'm asking you now. You should really stop living in the past...Mari."

"How--"

The stranger smiled in a rather sadistic manner and tapped his head with his finger. "Do you really need to ask?"

"Who are you?"

"A pessimist. But I'm so much more. Much more."

"...That's one way to make a first impression."

"Isn't it?" He was still smiling in that creepy way. "Anyway, I don't believe I've introduced myself." The man sort of bowed his head and folded one arm over his chest.

"Scriabin Vargas. A pleasure to be in your brain, little lady."

"Uh..." Mari was at a loss for words. "You're welcome...?" Holy crap, he's so creepy...

"I heard that too."

"You were supposed to."

"Ouch." But Scriabin didn't look hurt at all. In fact, he was still smiling. "But, all insults aside, I think there's a more serious problem."

Mari raised an eyebrow. "And that would be...?"

"The clerk downstairs. He should be coming here any minute now."

"So? I'll just tell him everything is fine."

"I said he should be here. Where do you think he is?"

The disguised cultist earlier...oh no!

Mari quickly jumped off the bed and teleported to the ground floor lobby. The space behind the desk was empty. Meanwhile, Scriabin had seemingly appeared out of nowhere and was now laying down lazily on a couch meant to let tourist and visitors rest their feet. "Ooo, that was interesting, you poofing around like that. I wonder what else you can do?" Scriabin looked at her with a curious impression, as if he stared long and hard enough, he would know.

Unfortunately for him, Mari had already blocked some important parts of her mind from her new mental tenant. "He's gotta be around here somewhere!" She said, ignoring his last question.

Maybe he's dead. Scriabin's voice was now in her head. I imagine that woman killed him and hid his body in the laundry chute or something.

"You have a very dark imagination, then." Mari gazed at him with a hard look.

Thank you.

"Aren't you going to help me, Mr. Vargas?"

Please, Scriabin. He waved a hand as if to dismiss the formality. And no.

"You just said he could be dead!" Mari looked behind the stairs. Nothing.

What difference would that make, exactly? Scriabin inquired.

Mari stopped and stared at him with a look of rage and a fierce sense of justice.

"Oh, that anger." Physical voice again, and he looked thoroughly pleased. "My, you're a feisty one, aren't you?"

Mari rolled her eyes and turned around. Looked behind the desk. Looked in the elevator. Looked in the laundry chute. Even looked in the supply closet.

Nothing.

"You actually care about this, don't you?"

"Of course I do!" Mari yelled. "He could be in trouble!"

"You don't even know who he is, what he's done. Hell, you don't even know his name--"

"I don't have to." Mari cut him off. "He's an innocent bystander in this and I have to see if he's OK."

Scriabin made a scoffing sound. "Oh, how noble of you. Such a heroine." Each word was dripping in sarcasm. "I can just see the statues built in your honor."

"You're not a very nice person, are you?"

Amused laughter. "Oh, dear Mari, you have no idea."

"I can tell you're gonna be a fun person to hang around with." She glared at him with an unamused expression as she continued to search for the clerk.

"Sarcastic too, hmm?" Scriabin laughed again. "Then I can say the same for you!"

"Argh, where IS he?" Mari threw up her hands in frustration. "I can't-"

"Just forget about it. Don't you have more important matters to attend to?"

"I can't just leave like this. I have to--"

"Oi, everything alright?"

Mari turned around towards the entrance and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the clerk. He was holding a bag of burgers in one hand and a large soda in the other. "Oh, thank the stars...you're OK."

"He was just on break, I think. You really had nothing to worry about." Scriabin was still using his physical voice, but the clerk didn't give any indication that he heard him. Only I can hear him...makes sense, Mari thought.

"Oh, I was just on lunch break. Everything alright, luv?" The clerk asked again.

"Actually..."

Mari explained the entire cultist incident in detail, leaving out the part about Scriabin, of course.

Yes, because heaven forbid that people think you're a lunatic. Scriabin's mental voice again.

There are some people out there who would believe me.

Oh, really? Inexplicable anger coming off in waves from him. Like who? Because you're doing a great job keeping all kinds of things from me already, the person who just saved your sanity.

You may have saved my sanity, but that doesn't mean I have to trust you just yet. Mari thought with a bite to her words. And having a self-proclaimed pessimist in my head doesn't help matters.

He was silent for a few minutes. At least you have some common sense. Maybe you aren't so hopeless. Dry approval, but even that was false. She could tell.

Meanwhile, the clerk was freaking out and calling the police. "My boss is going to have my head on a platter when he hears about this..."

"I already took care of it." Mari tried to reassure him. "You don't have anything to worry about now."

"You sure, luv?"

"That woman won't be bothering you anymore. She was just here for me..."

But why? Scriabin asked. You might have some special abilities, but besides that--

Mari decided just to let him on a few memories. Not everything, though, just letting him see the whole Dark Ones invasion and what happened and how she took part, finding it better just to show him then tell him. Plus, it would keep him busy for a while.

"So, you OK? She didn't hurt you?" The clerk asked her out of concern.

"Nah, I'm good."

"You think she was one of those Dark Ones?"

"Hard to say, actually..." Mari thought back to the white robes she was wearing and what she said about God's light and stuff. It didn't match anything the Dark Ones would say...well, besides useless crazy babble.

"Well, either way, we'll have to tighten our security now..." The clerk went on.

Or maybe you should just watch who you employ. Scriabin piped in. Apparently, he just couldn't keep his mouth closed, physical or otherwise.

Keep your comments to yourself, please.

Why? You are the only one who can hear me anyway.

Mari sighed. She had a feeling she wasn't going to like this new voice in her head at all.

Oh, that hurt, Mari.

Shut up, please.

Scriabin hummed happily and went back to looking through her memories.

"I...I think it would be best if I just checked out." Mari decided. "I have a lot of things to do..."

"Oh, please, don't go just because of this--" The clerk started, but she raised a hand to stop him."

"Don't get the wrong idea, please. Besides, if I leave, then this won't happen again."

"I...I guess so..."

"Good. In that case...I'll just take my things and go." Mari snapped her fingers and her backpack full of her things appeared on her back.

"Blimey..."

"Yeah, I know." Mari smiled and began to walk out the door.

"Hey, where are you going?" The clerk asked.

I'd like to know that too. Scriabin also asked.

Mari thought about how to word her response to answer both. "It's...something I've been meaning to do for a long time."

"Oh...I see."

I don't. Scriabin growled angrily. I will find out eventually, though. Only a matter of time.

Mari mentally rolled her eyes. Ooh, I'm so scared.

"So, uh...I guess you should get going then." The clerk said.

She nodded. "Yeah. Thanks for everything."

"Hey, ya know that Muhti kid? I think he's wrong. You're not a bad person." The clerk smiled warmly. "I believe in you."

"...Thank you."

And with that, she stepped out of the hotel...

...and straight into an angry mob.

"THERE SHE IS!"

"TRAITOR, WE TRUSTED YOU!"

"OI, GET OFF OUR PLANET, YA FREAK!"

They don't sound very happy. What did you do? Scriabin was trying very hard not to burst into cruel laughter.

Mari sighed. "I'll...show you later."

She teleported a safe distance away from the mob, about three blocks away. Scriabin leaned coolly against a stop sign. "So...where are we going?" He asked with his physical voice.

"To be honest, I don't know. But...I think our first stop is Tokyo."

"Tokyo? And how do you propose we get there? Teleporting again?"

"Yeah. But it's not that simple. I need a more advanced spell. We're traveling across the world, after all."

Mari opened her backpack and pulled out a rather old tome of spells, courtesy of Magolor, and began to flip through it.

"Let me guess, one of your 'friends'?" Hearing her thoughts, he walked towards her and peered over her shoulder. Mari could swear she could feel his breath on her ear.

"He's my teacher." She thought simply.

"Realllly? What did he teach you?"

"Everything I know about magic...well, almost."

"Pfft, magic. There's no such thing." Scriabin turned away from her, his voice low. "You're delusional."

"You've already seen me cast a few spells, and then there are my memories, what's so hard to believe?" Mari asked.

"I will admit that you have some special powers or whatever but magic? Fah. Mere illusions for the weak." Scriabin waved a hand in her direction. "Plus, your memories could just be delusions, too."

"First a pessimist, now a hypocrite?" Mari shook her head. "You don't get out much, do you?"

Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say, because she heard him growl fiercely. A wave of pure rage washed over her and she felt a massive headache coming on.

"One, I never said anything hypocritical. Two, I don't have a F****** physical body to walk around in!" Scriabin turned around and screamed at her, both mentally and physically, and he was grabbing his hair as if he wanted to tear it out. "And three, say something like that again, and--"

"And what?" Mari glared at him with an unnerved gaze. "You don't scare me. What will you do?"

"I'll crush every single memory you have and leave you in shreds." His face was only inches away from her's, his tone dark and low and his reflective glasses glinting dangerously. "I'll leave you as a shadow of your former self. I'll--"

"You can't."

"What?! Of course I can--"

"You just said that you don't have a physical body, which means..." Mari crossed her own arms, unfazed by his threats. "...that you need me as a host."

Scriabin stopped and slowly realized the mistake he made. He didn't want to let her know about that, not this early, he was just...Damn it. Too careless. That made him even more furious.

"Which raises an important question." Mari continued. "Where were you before you entered my mind?"

"You're changing the subject." Scriabin noted.

"I'm changing it because your threats don't mean a thing to me."

"Oh, they should. All I have to do is get past these barriers...you know not what power you toy with..." He grabbed her arm tightly, yanking her towards him, which was suppose to be impossible...right? And yet, she could feel the tightness of his grip on her arm. "In fact, I can destroy these memories you showed me right now."

"Get your hands off me!" Mari yelled out loud and shoved him away, and she was sure she was attracting some unwanted attention by now.

"HEY, I THINK I SEE HER!"

Right on cue. Of course.

"...Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" Scriabin turned his anger towards the oncoming mob and the pain went away. "Not now...I was so close..."

"So close to what--"

"Shut up and get us out of here! Magic us away or something!"

Mari smirked for a moment. "I thought you didn't believe in--"

"IS THIS REALLY A TIME TO BE SMART WITH ME, WOMAN?!?!"

"Pfft, what are you so worried about?" She snapped her fingers and they were another three blocks away. This time they landed in an abandoned neighborhood. No one else was around.

Scriabin blinked...again, at least Mari got the impression he did, and looked around. "Finally. Now where were we?"

"Not now. Tokyo first." Mari flipped through the book of spells and found the spell she was looking at before.
"Fine, go do your weird ritual or whatever. We'll talk again soon." Scriabin suddenly disappeared from sight.

"Scriabin?"

No response.

"Hmm..." Mari shrugged and went back to her book. Her eyes went back to that one line that worried her. "This spell is may or may not transport those with links with spirits or other non-physical beings..."

WHAT?! Mari winced at Scriabin's sudden mental scream.

"I wasn't going to use it anyway. Too risky for you." She flipped to another page.

Oh, like you care. Back to that now familiar sarcasm.

"I care about your well being, even if you're rough around the edges." Mari spoke softly, with a gentle voice. Scriabin could feel her honesty and didn't say anything in response. He made a "Hmph" sound and simply watched from a more farther point in her mind.

Mari shrugged again and found a more suitable spell. Summoning Eden, her crystal sword, she concentrated her power on images. Cherry blossoms. The rising sun. Fireflies and a calm, cool brook...

She opened her eyes, now glowing blue, and yelled, "Revemcra!"

A flash of light and she was gone.

Flower Petals Scatter on the Cold Wind

==============
Frostwraith arrives at Tokyo, Japan in his attempt to find whoever was behind the explosions.

Frostwraith: (thinking) Tokyo... The capital of the Earth nation of Japan... It's quite the big city, indeed...

Luxeld: (via telepathy) Apparently, the explosion was close to the Japanese branch of an organization known as the True Cross Order.

Frostwraith: True Cross Order?

Luxeld: According to our spies, it's an anti-demon organization headquartered on the Vatican. They're exorcists dedicated to fighting against demons.

Frostwraith: An exorcist order of the Vatican? I wasn't expecting that... Those cultists claim to serve God, so if they attacked the Vatican, they're not exactly followers of the Christian religion.

Luxeld: Our agents have reported that other religious buildings like mosques, synagogues, Buddhist temples and any other religious buildings have been attacked in recent times.

Frostwraith: So, they attack anything related to religion, yet they claim to be doing God's work... Talk about a contradiction. Anyway, they are a threat to this world and others... I'm sure we will find out more once I reach my destination. Japan is known for the bullet trains... They will help me spare my own magic power for sure...

-------------
A few hours later...

Frostwraith: This is the True Cross Order... Is it just me or this looks more like some sort of school?

???: You are exactly right.

Frostwraith: And you are?

MEPHISTO PHELES

Mephisto: I am Mephisto Pheles. But I also go by Johann Faust V in public. I am the head of the True Cross Academy.

Frostwraith: (thinking) His speech is quite... flamboyant... And what's with that flashy outfit? Nevertheless, I sense a great power coming from him... (to Mephisto) You run this place... That's unexpected, if I do say so myself... Anyway, I am here to investigate an attack that happened a few days ago.

Mephisto: Ah, yes. And I know exactly why it happened.

Frostwraith: (thinking) Hmm... Could he have spoken to one of the cultists?

Mephisto: Those white robed man were looking for someone very specific... Someone with demonic powers.

Frostwraith: (thinking) Why would they find someone with demonic powers on an exorcist school of all places?

Mephisto: He also happens to be a student at my academy. That's why I want you to meet him.

Frostwraith: What? Me?

Mephisto: You did say you were investigating this incident, didn't you?

Frostwraith: Well, of course. It makes sense speaking to any testimonies.

The two walked to near the academy's door. Mephisto pulls out a key from one of his pockets.

Mephisto: Eins... Zwei... Drei!

The door opens, leading to a corridor.

Mephisto: This is the Exorcists' Cram School. Please wait here for a while...

Mephisto suddenly puffs away, much to Frostwraith's surprise.

Frostwraith: (thinking) What's with this guy? Why do I have this feeling I shouldn't trust him?

A few minutes later, the door from which Frostwraith came opened once more. Mephisto stepped in with a student from the academy.

Frostwraith: (thinking) What's with that kid? The amount of power I sense from him is astounding!

Mephisto: Meet Rin Okumura, the Son of Satan... (smirks) and an aspiring exorcist.

Frostwraith: (thinking) If I couldn't feel other living being's powers, I'd think of this as an elaborate joke. Yet, this is far from a joke... Things are starting to make sense...

RIN OKUMURA

Rin: (agitated) So why did you bring me here? Who is that guy?

Mephisto: He's here to investigate the last days' incident.

Frostwraith: My name is Frostwraith... And yes, I'm here to investigate the explosion that happened a few days ago... I have no need for details, but I sense a lot of power coming from that sword of yours and Mephisto just called you "the Son of Satan". Aside from your pointed ears and tail, you don't look like a demon that much... That leads me to the conclusion you're an half-human, half-demon hybrid. Did I get it right?

Rin: How did you--

Frostwraith: There's no need for you be upset... I am good at observing details. I can also sense every living being's power. All beings in this or any other world possess their own amount of power... Some are more powerful than others... Your power is exceedingly high... Higher than the average human, that's for sure.

Rin: (upset) And where are you going with this?!

Frostwraith: I completely understand why was this place attacked. Once Mephisto told me about you, everything made sense. I'm not going to bother you with many words, so I'll be quick: Whoever did this is after you.

Rin: What?!

Frostwraith: There has been a cult that's been spreading its influence as of lately. They have also tried to kill me. Let's say I'm not a normal human being either.

Rin: You're telling me you're a demon too?!

Frostwraith: Not exactly... Remember when I said I could sense the others' powers? That's one of my abilities... something that has been passed down my family for generations. Well, that's enough talk. I believe Mephisto may want me to protect you.

Mephisto: (shocked) H-how did you know that?

Frostwraith: Hmm... My apologies... I just sensed that thought coming from somewhere... I can read minds too.

Rin: What?! Aren't those guys after you too? Why would Mephisto want you to protect me?!

Frostwraith: I'm going to protect you, yes. But you're also going to protect me. I'm counting on your powers so you can aid me fight against this threat... I will tell you all the details later...

The King of Fighters '96 - Trash Head (arranged)

Meanwhile, at an unknown place...

???: Goenitz-sama, it appears Frostwraith is on Earth right now.

Goenitz: Is that so? We must make sure we keep an eye on him... We must not attempt to kill him either. His power is far too valuable for us to let it go to waste... His death would be meaningless at the wrong moment...

???: How are we going to deal with the cult that has been after him?

Goenitz: Kill them. They don't need our mercy. Plus, they're an obstacle to our plan. Their mere presence is undesirable for us. This "Church of Truth" will not sway us from our path.

???: Of course... Once we're through this, the world will return to its true state...

Cherry blossom petals begin to soar around the place.

Goenitz: Indeed...

(Inside the Arcadia)

Richard: Maybe we should wait, wesker.

Wesker: Hmm?

Richard: What is it?

Wesker: I just pulled up the satellite targeting system, and a figure in robes is just standing on a building's rooftop, looking at the ship. It's not far though.

Richard: Maybe another one of those cult members?

Wesker: Not likely, We dealt with the remaining members of the dark ones.

Richard: It must be a new cult then, but what color robes do you think?

Wesker: I don't know but we'll find out who these two are soon.

(Meanwhile outside the Arcadia on a building not far)

Cult member 1: My lord, the ship is here along with an advanced aircraft on it, should we attack?

???:Yes, Go now and show them the power of god's light!!

Arcadia Raid

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wU2RcvmEbg

Richard: Looks like they've been ordered to attack.

Wesker: they'll find a way inside the lab, were their targets so while they're rushing inside, we'll be outside.

Wesker and Richard then board one of the three aircraft inside the ship, some doors on the rear of the ship open, revealing an Exit. the Aircraft takes off

Richard: You're going to purge the ship aren't you?

Wesker: Yes.

Wesker then pulls out a remote detonator and inputs the three digit password and activates the purge bomb on a 10 second period meanwhile the two cult members have made it inside the lab.

Cult member 2: My lord, they are not here but a lab is inside the ship

Cult member 1: What is this thing that is counting down to zero?

Wesker: 3....2....1, goodbye.

The purge bomb explodes engulfing the Arcadia and anything near it.

Richard: For some reason I always love that sound when it starts to go off, kinda like a cyber huffing sound.

Wesker: All too familiar, were now leaving Los Angeles and heading to Washington D.C.

Richard: Why the District Capital?

Wesker: To the White House, Although it does have a certain means to it.

Richard: Well the president isn't there, he died from the T-virus so that means that you....

Wesker: Yes, I'm going to take over the president's spot, sit down in his leather chair, and convince the military that are there, about a new threat that has risen.

Richard: Those white robed cult members, I did see what color robes they were wearing just before we flew out of the ship.

Wesker: I wonder if our allies Frostwraith, Mari, Xiroey or Luco have encountered these cult members yet?
This is humanity's last stand, the beginning of the end.

(Wesker and Richard have encountered two new cult members, and are on their way to Washington D.C. to try and convince the U.S Military there to join in the fight against the cultists.)

Meanwhile...

"I will... bask in your blood"...

The burly reptilian creature sank to his knees, blood gushing from various wounds across his body. He coughed, spitting a dark red gwab onto the wet cement.

"So this is it, a fitting, ironic end. The butcher himslef drowns in his own blood".

The stranger brandished his blade, ready to finish it off with one more swift cut.

"...heheh"

The reptile began to laugh, or tried to. What started out as a laugh quickly turned into more coughing as blodo welled up in hsi throat.

"So, insanity finally claims you in your final moments. It's filthy beings like you that stink up this rotten planet. You care about no one, serve no one but your own twisted needs. How many innocent lives have you killed? How many, in mindless rage, have you cut down. Have you ever once felt guilt, even once felt compassion for another living being?

The reptician creature didn't speak.

"Gone silent now I see. Very well. Then you can die there without a word. Your end will be swift, which is already more than you deserve".

He raised his blade, the tip catching the moonlight as he brought it up high above his head. His muscles tensed in preperation to behead the creature.

"...all", was all the ceature whispered before going silent again.

"it finally speaks. You had your chance to say yoru last words, enough talk. Die"

Sparks flew as metal collided with metal.

The creature had brought his weapon up to deflect teh blade at the last minute.

"all will be left.. in PIECES"!

The reptile suddenly exploded upwards, he knocked the stranger's sword away, then quickly slashed at his chest, forcing the man to jump back.

"So you do have fight left in you. Very well. If it's a fight you wan't before you die, I'll be happy to oblige"

The reptile let out a garbled roar and charged at him, swinging his blade in a wild arc. The stranger easily sidestepped the attack, slashing him in the back as he continued to fly forward.

The reptile hit the ground on all fours, he turned back to face the strnager, his eyes seething in rage.

"Aww, is the crocodile mad? Looks like I managed to escape you again. Renekton."

"...You're not him"

"Oh? What was that now? You really should speak up more"

"YOU'RE NOT MY BROTHER"!!!

His next attack came so swiftly, the man hardly had time to react. Renekton dashed at him at blinding speed, his weapon was barely a blur as it flew at him, this time nearly decapitating HIM. He managed to bring his sword up in time to block the attack, but just barely.

Renekton wasn't done with him yet, he looped his tail around the stranger's ankles and tugged, causing the man to fall. Renekton pounced on him, landing on his chest just as he hit the ground. His hat flew off as he landed, causing the moonlight to reveal his face. The man wasn't a man at all, but rather, a pokemon.

Pangoro looked up into Renekton's bloodshot eyes, which had long been consumed by anger. He knew he had been defeated, and now, the only fate that awaited him was death.

Rnekton stopped just as he was about to deliver the final blow. His head shot up, then he quickly darted away into the shadows.

Pangoro lied there confused. he eventually got the answer to his questions as two other pokemon came to help him up.

"Did you get him" Nidoking looked at him with concern written all over his face.

"No. He got away".

His partners, Nidoking and Swampert helped him up.

"We almost had him this time".

"I got careless. I'm sorry" Pangoro hung his head in shame.

"No worries mate, we'll catch him again"

"Yes, but how many innocent lives might he slauger before then"

Nidoking didn't have an answer for that.

"Nontheless, we should go. Tokyo's a big city, there's no telling where he might show up next"

We'll cross paths again Renekton. And next time, you will not get away...

It was a beautiful day at new hyrule. The sun shone brilliantly amidst puffy white clouds, which dotted the sky like cotton candy. Xiroey couldn't help but gaze at it as he and chaos sat in the main garden, his back leaned up comfortably against the bench. The wood was nice and warm from baking in the hot summer sun. Leaning against it, he couldn't help but think of Charizard, and of the words he spoke before they last departed.

"...From this moment on, you and I are partners. Don't ever forget"

It was the greatest honor anyone could have ever given him. After years of traveling together, and countless bad guys bested, Charizard had finally decided to trust him, really trust him. He'd learned more about Charizard in their last few hours together, than in the entire two years they'd spent traveling.

Turns out it was just as Gliscor said. Sure, he was a bit rough around the edges, but beyond that Charizard had a good heart.

At that moment, Xiroey was lost, blanketed completely by soothing memories and a hot sun.

"You're in a good mood today" Chaos remarked, seeing Xiroey lean against the bench and smile.

He leaned up a bit, realizing he must've looked a bit goofy, grinning with his eyes closed for no good reason.

"Y'know, I know the world's in Chaos, and I know we'll probably have to go back to fighting and killing again eventually, but you know what"?

Chaos chuckled, not knowing where his son was going with all of this

"What"?

"It's okay. Because when **** hits the fan, I'll always have you all to fight with me. You, Char, Stormy, Gengar. It's nice to have people you can trust".

That got Chaos grinning too "I wish I could be as carefree as you, Xiroey. I take it that demon has stopped bothering you then"?

"For now" Xiroey's tone got a bit more serious "It comes and goes. I normally don't feel it stir unless I'm excited, usually by an intense battle. It's... odd..."

Xiroey stared off into the sky again

"Odd"? When Xiroey didn't elaborate further, Chaos decided to urge him onward a bit.

"Just... Sometimes, I cant tell if it's the demon making me act a certain way, or if, deep down, part of me just..."

It was hard for Xiroey to come out and say it.

Could it be that , deep down, part of him actually liked to delight in the suffering of others. He had to admit, there were times when he took a strange sadistic pleasure from his battles. When the feelings ended, he liked to think that it was the demon that made him act that way, but sometimes it was hard to tell.

"I think I understand. Demon bonding is a strange business, I don't quite understand it much myself."

"...I think I need to find someone... to help me control it that is".

"Oh"?

"This... what ever it is, I can tell it posseses a great power, I've felt it before. Those hooded figure guys, they were kind enough to put this thing in me after all, might as well make something of it".

"I see" Chaos took a few moments to mull over that "Well, that's actaully what I wanted to talk to you about. There is someone who can help you".

That made Xiroey bolt out of his dreamy state, his eyes bored deep into Chaos's demanding the answer. If this was true--

If this is true, then I'll finally be in full control again. Stormy will never have to deal with that awful demon again.

Chaos noticed the shock on Xiroey's face, he figured it was only fair to tell him the truth.

"I don't know who. All I know is that he wanted me to tell you to meet him in Tokyo, japan. He was a strange fellow when I met him, he didn't give me his name, but he did know yours.

Xiroey thought over that a bit

"Can we trust him"?

"That's the other reason I brought you here. You're too out of touch with your abilities. As your father, it would be wrong of me to send you out there again without properly begin able to handle yourself."

Chaos was right. Ever since he lost lysander, truth was... he didn't know what his abilities were anymore. That whole fiasco at the Master's castle was just him winging it. He didn't really know what he was doing, instinct just sort of took over.

"You seem to have some understanding of your abilities already, that is good, but further training is needed before you can be safe to venture the world alone. Your enemies will only continue to get stronger from here".

Chaos got up, beckoning for Xiroey to follow. He led Xiroey into a narrow path. A field of carrots spread out to either side on them. Xiroey didn't know until coming to hyrule castle that carrots were actually an earth fruit, and that the part you eat actually grew underground, instead of on a branch or a vine.

Many of the plants and animals of earth fascinated him.

Chaos eventually led him into a wider corridor, which led back into the castle. They made a few twists and turns through the castles many rooms and corridors, before finally settling before a broad set of wooden doors.

"Beyond here is where New Hyrule trains it's newest recruits. However, you'll be recieving special treatment, since you are my son, your opponent will not be some lowly combat instructor.

He led Xiroey into the room, when he guestured for Xiroey to move to the other side of the room, away from the door, Xiroey eagerly obeyed.

He stood there, a bit confused, wondering who his opponent could possbilbly be.

"Are you ready" Chaos said, and before Xiroey could give a response, he transformed into the forme of a black latios.

"Your opponent... will be me. Prepare yourself"

And with no further warning, chaos brutally attacked him.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Don't just stand there, defend yourself!

Hearing Storm's voice scream in his head snapped him into action. He had just enough time to transform as well before Chaos reached him, claw swiping at this throat. He barely evaded the attack, letting an illusional copy take the swipe before fizzing out.

Woah, he isn't holding back. Xiroey we need to give this our all.

Xiroey didn't give a response, but he knew Stormy knew he got the message.

"If this will help me unlock my true abilities, then so be it. Give me everything you've got".

He thought he saw Chaos grin in approval. It was hard to tell though, since mere seconds after it happened, Chaos was on him again. This time, a fluffy of attacks threatened to tear him apart. His claws were hardly visible as Chaos inched closer and closer to him. Xiroey managed to evade his attacks, but he knew it was only a matter of time before he ran out of room to run away.

"You.. leave me... No choice! Luster Purge"!

The room exploded in white light, there was nowhere for Chaos to evade to and he ate the full brunt of the attack. Xiroey switched to his 2nd sense, letting his mind's eye guide him since his eyes were effectively blind.

He located Chaos' presence at the center of the room.

Time to show you what I've learned over the years.

He charged at chaos, this time unleashing his own barrage of attacks. His claws were practically invisible as he attacked at Chaos again and again. Somehow, Chaos was managing to block the all, but Xiroey could feel him tiring.

Faster...

Orbs of light began to swirl around him. Faster and faster his attacks became, he continued beating away at Chaos' defenses with greater force.

Xiroey, be careful. Dont link skills carelessly like that, you'll drain all your stamina.

"No, I can take it this time. I'm not as weak as I was then".

Xiroey could feel himself growing stronger with each attack, mixing dragon dance with dragon claw gave him the perfect ballance of power and speed, allowing him to hack away at Chaos' defenses. It was only a matter of time.

"You've... gotten stronger son... but dont underrestimate me yet".

Chaos was about to unleash a counterattack of his own, but before he could find the chance, Xiroey did something that even he didn't expect.

"Enough resisting. This ends now, Ice wall!"

Xiroey swiped at Chaos again, only this time, needles of Ice shot out from his claws, they stuck into Chaos' flesh and buried into his skin, making him cry out in pain.

Xiroey wasn't done though, he drew upon an inner power he had never noticed before. Maybe it was the heat of the battle that drew it out, he didn't care to question it at that moment, he unleased the power and the needles of ice grew outwards, pracitcally exploding into a giant pillar of ice.

Chaos was trapped inside. He was practically frozen alive. Xiroey looked at the giant pillar he just made in disbelief.

"That's... that's not what I meant to do"

That power just now. What was it?

"Oh, Stormy, you felt it too."

Of course, I'm sitting here inside you dummy. What was that. I've never felt you use that power before.

"Neither have I. But whatever it was, I think that's waht Chaos was trying to bring ou--"

Xiroey's words got cut off. Chaos managed to shatter out of his icy prison. Xiroey was pelted with shards of ice, and was forced to cover his eyes or he might've been blinded.

Chaos' face was a mixture of rage and... approval.

He had to be honest with himself, he didn't expect Xiroey to learn as quickly as he did.

But when he thought over it again, he realized he shouldn't be surprised.

"Good, you've unlocked it then. Now I can really stop holding back".

"W-wait, Unlocked what. What was that I used just no--"

"I want you to tap into it again" Chaos inturrupted him "Do what you did just now, ask it for help and it'll assist you".

"Okay bu--"

"Enough butts, prepare yourself!"

Chaos attacked him again.

This time Xiroey was batter prepared. He threw up a wall of ice to defend himslef. Chaos was ready for it though, and easily smashed thorugh it.

"Mix it up more!" Chaos shouted, then slugged him in the face.

Xiroey was sent flying. He cut his flight short by conjuring up a wind current at his back, but before he could even regather his wits, Chaos was attacking him again!

"Where's all that speed from before! Dont you go soft on me now! Show me that power again"!

Chaos backhanded him with such force that his back created a mini-crator in the ground.

Xiroey was knocked nearly unconscious. He was aware of Chaos coming at him again, but he didn't have the energy to defend himself.

Xiroey! Get up!

Stormy shocked him. He actually zapped Xiroey in the butt, forcing him to leap to his feet.

"Gah! Stormy what's the big--"

A blue fist hit him in the face again. Xiroey got sent flying a third time.

He thought he saw colorful stars fly around his face as he flew and hit a wall. He bounced off, but managed to land on his feet somehow, and face Chaos just in time to eat another attack.

"Enough"!

Xiroey didn't know what he was doing. He didn't know if he was crazy or just ticked off, but he dug deep within himslef, searching for whatever it was that helped him last time.

He was surprised at how easily he found it. He quickly located the same power from before. He didn't really bother to give it an order, he just unleashed it upon Chaos, hoping for anything.

A blast of lightning hit Chaos smack in the chest. He recoiled back. He tried to move, but his limbs were paralyzed.

Xiroey wasn't sure what just happened, but he wasnt going to waste the opportunity, he seeked out the power again, this time giving it a clear order.

"Hurricane" He barked.

The room filled up with water. it swirled up around chaos, trapping him in an above-water whirlpool.

The attack he used still wasnt what he inteded, but the results spoke for themselves. Chaos was trapped. He started to gag as water shot up his lungs. Xiroey was actually channeling the water to enter Chaos' body, cutting off all air flow. Any mortal would have died instantly, but somehow, Chaos managed to break free fo the attack. There was an explosion of light, and next thing Xiroey knew he blacked out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

"W--wah..."

When he came too, Chaos and stormy were watching over him. They were back in the garden.

"What... happen... did I... did we win"?

"You sort of got destroyed" Stormy said in a soft voice.

Chaos helped him up. Somehow, his clothes weren't wet. He wasn't sure how, surely there must've been water everywhere when his attack ended, but he didn't have the energy to question it at that moment.

"Sorry" Chaos said, looking a bit embarassed. "You really did force em to go all out there. I have to admit, I'm impressed. you performed better than I could've hoped.

"So... does that mean... we'ere done?" Xiroey's eyes lit up.

"Not quite" Chaos raised a hand to calm him "You've learned to harness the power, now you must learn to control it. That, I'm afraid, I cannot teach you. You must on your own, over time".

"I see". Xiroey was a bit dissapointed to hear that.

But deep down

He was still excited.

He did it! and on his first try! He'd be an unstoppable machine before long!

"Don't get too overconfident. Remember what a wise man once said. With great power comes great"--

"Yeah, I know" Xiroey said. Then he did calm down a bit.

"That was amazing, I've never felt anything like that before. I thought I had a handle on that power for a second, but then it sort of got out of control".

"Yes, you do have to be careful. My last attack wasn't the only thing that knocked you out. You actaully burned through a lot of your energy doing that. You must learn to moderate how you use your new power".

"I see" Xiroey nodded "I will then. I'll learn to control it, and then I'll use it to smack down any bad guy that trys to mess with us"

Chaos chuckled "Good. Now then, about your journey".

"We'll get going straight away. I planned to meet up with Charizard soon anyway, I can tell him about it and we can go to tokyo together".

"Oh, that Charizard fellow again? He was with you before you came to New Hyrule wasn't he"?

"That was him. I still don't really know how to control this power yet, so it'll be nice to have some back up. In case anything goes wrong".

"Good plan". Then without warning, Chaos suddenly turned and left.

"W-wait, you're leaving so soon"?

"Sorry again" Chaos called over his shoulder as he dissapeared back into the castle "That battle of ours wore me out. I have an important board meeting coming up soon, and I need to rest up! Good luck on your trip"!

Then he was gone.

Well, he sure is busy a lot isn't he?

"Yeah. I'm not sure what's going on on Earth right now, but aparently it's big. He's always gone at political meetings it seems.

Well, we certainly arent getting anything done standing around here.

"You're right. We should get ready to go. Charizard will be wating for us soon".

[Meanwhile shortly after leaving Los Angeles, 7 hours later]

Richard: Alright Washington D.C Should be visible right about......now

(The White house comes into view)

Wesker: We're finally here, now to get on with business.

The Two enter the White house only to find it abandoned

Richard: Where exactly is the army you pictured to be here?

Wesker: This is surprising, this place would've been heavily guarded.

Richard: Well this was a trip for nothing, now that were the only ones here. I suppose we can go to another Realm now?

Wesker: Yes, but first-

???: First you're going to have to deal with us.

Wesker: Alice, how nice to hear from you again. I see you brought some friends of yours Chris and Claire Redfield, Well isn't this one big family reunion.

Richard: Wesker, Alice we didn't come here to pick a fight, we came here for reasons of possible assistance.

Chris: Why should we trust you two superfreaks.

Richard: We're not freaks, and you should trust us because there is a new threat, Albert and I were attacked at the arcadia. Also Alice didn't you notice anything strange like the sky a few weeks ago?

Alice: Now that you mention it the sky did turn into an unusual red, but how is that relating into our matters?

Wesker: Because before we returned, we were saving different realms including ours outside of this world.

Jill: How is that possible?

Alice: traveling to different realms... The sky turning bright red for a few days then back to normal.....

Claire: Alice what is it?

Alice: You were out saving the world, from something unknown.

Richard: We both were along with many allies, including Xiroey, Mari, Frostwraith, Luco and a bunch of other allies.

Jill: Sounds too good to be true...

Richard: It's not like that but it is true, plus where's the militia at, don't they guard the white house since after the outbreak.

Alice: The outbreak killed a lot of people I'm not sure there are any survivors that are military

Chris: I did some research after you guys did what sounded like time travel, also the last of the military will be here soon.

Wesker: How many soldiers?

Chris: at least 100 troops, they should be arriving any minute now.

Claire: There they are!

(Two Humvees and 4 Militia trucks arrive with 22 Soldiers on the back of each truck)

Wesker: I need to be facing toward them when they walk in. I need to explain what the new threat is.

Jill: "What exactly is the new threat"?

Richard: We were attacked by cultist figures wearing white robes with an insignia on the front, Wesker purged the Arcadia once they made it inside, all we know is that we were their targets and that they're obliterated inside the ship.

The troops storm the door, then one of them comes up to Chris.

Chris: General I need you back to where your troops are, some unexpected changes have taken place

General: Yes sir.

Wesker: I need all of your undivided attention, there is a new threat one that possibly disregards all life on this planet, The threat are cultists wearing white robes, they all carry different knives and swords and are very quick at running at a target they choose.

Random Soldier: So What are we supposed to do about it?

Wesker: I would like all of you to travel with us, they are most likely looking for me and Richard but we don't know how many there are total, but we could use some protection, Their speed is quicker than a normal human's running speed, being close range with them is a death wish, you're most likely better off at a distance.

General: Yes sir, I will arrange for an escort, should any of the cultists appear immediatlely we will fire at them.

Richard: Well now that that's done we should head to Tokyo.

Alice: I'm coming along too.

Chris: Me and Claire want to go with you as well.

Jill: I'm going with you, I'm not staying here

Wesker: let's get going then, off to Tokyo, where one of my labs are located.

Alice: There's an Aircraft Carrier over here, we can use for traveling to Tokyo.

Wesker: Alright we'll take the Military Plane then, let's depart at once

(Richard and Wesker now leave for Tokyo by a military escort of 100 militia men, along with some possible allies, Alice, Chris and Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine)

Somewhere in Japan...

Frostwraith: That's pretty much the gist of it.

Rin: So, those guys want to exterminate anything that doesn't fit their idea of ideal?

Frostwraith: Yes. And I believe they want to kill me because of my powers, much as they want to kill you because you're half-demon. All while believing they're doing it in God's name. Their influence has been spreading rather quickly, so they might be everywhere at this point. Whatever you do, never let your guard down.

Rin: Okay. So, where are you going next?

Frostwraith: I'm not sure. I'm probably returning to Tokyo. Something about that city rubs me off the wrong way. Fortunately, there ought to be a bullet train in the next hour and the station isn't too far away from here, so let's go.

Frostwraith and Rin walked towards the station. Unknown to them, they were being followed by a mysterious woman, clad in a kimono wielding a naginata.

???: (via telepathy) Goenitz-sama, I have found our target. They are boarding a bullet train to Tokyo.

Goenitz: Very well. Keep following them.

Some minutes later, on the bullet train to Tokyo...

Frostwraith: (thinking) Damn it... I just had to pick the wrong carriage.

Rin: W-what's wrong?

Frostwraith: (whispering) Shh... Be quiet. There's a suspicious guy here. Can you see him? Dressed in white robes with golden ornaments.

Rin: (thinking) It's one of them...

Cultist: (whispering and getting up from the seat) Oh Lord, please give me the strength to purify your sacred land. Give salvation to the poor innocents that may perish in this glorious moment. (does a gesture raising his hands upward, drawing a katana afterwards)

Frostwraith: (thinking) The guy is insane! Drawing a weapon in a public transport?!

The passengers panicked, but Frostwraith remained calm.

Cultist: (loudly) I am here to purify this land! There's no need for panic, for only two individuals here need God's judgment!

The speech nothing did to calm the passengers. The cultist approached Frostwraith.

Cultist: Now, sinners... REPENT! (attempts to behead Frostwraith, who blocks the sword with his hand)

Frostwraith: You want to pick a fight with me on this train of all places? You do realize the authorities will be coming after you, don't you?

Cultist: I care not. My mission is to eliminate all impurities in this world. The only authority is God, our merciful savior! Humans should raise their weapons against God! Now... die!

Frostwraith draws his sword.

Frostwraith: This is how it has to be? Hmph. (presses an emergency button) I have no intentions to kill you, but if that's what's necessary to protect all the lives here, I won't hold back! Rin, I will deal with him myself. Help the other people get to safety.

Rin: I got it!

Cultist: A sinner shall never question God's judgement! And I shall not let the demon escape either! (throws knife at Rin's back)

Frostwraith: Rin, watch out! (picks up a gun from his pocket and shoots the knife with a magic bullet, stopping it)

Cultist: By protecting that demon, you've added to your sins! I must save you before it's too late!

-------------------
CULTIST OF TRUTH
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Destiny (Ablaze)

Frostwraith: Save me? What a load of bull****. You're the one who started this in the first place. How many innocent people must be dragged into this?

Cultist: Silence, sinner! Don't you dare feign goodness and talk about innocence in front of one of God's servants! Besides, serving God demands sacrifice. Besides, it's not like anyone in this country serves God. Even those who claim so are mere pretenders! We are the only true servants of God. Hence, we're called the Church of Truth. We follow the Messiah that has come to the Earth and guide humanity! He is the one who hears God! All we do is humbly follow His wishes!

Frostwraith: Such nonsense... Come and see how pitiful you are!

Cultist: God, give me strength!

The cultist attempts to attack Frostwraith, who merely dodges the blow. Enraged, the cultist tries to strike again, but Frostwraith managed to dodge all of his movements.

Frostwraith: (smirks) Is this your God's power? How pathetic!

Cultist: HOW DARE YOU MOCK GOD!!

Attempts to stab Frostwraith in the heart, but Frostwraith quickly responds with a well-timed sword blow, blocking the attack.

Cultist: How! How is a humble servant of God like me unable to strike against His enemies?

Frostwraith: Your handling of the sword is an insult to one who has mastered it. Your attacks are crude and predictable. Your sword's dance is inelegant and its might is weak.

Cultist: I trained under the Messiah. I will not lose!

Frostwraith: Looking forward to your win... Like that is gonna happen.

Cultist: DIIIIEEEEE!!! (rushes towards Frostwraith)

Frostwraith dodges the attack and grabs the cultist, disarming him and throwing him to the floor. Frostwraith steps his foot on the cultist's back, putting his sword and the cultist's katana near each side of the cultist's neck.

Cultist: You... monster... Let me... go!

Frostwraith: Ah... If only you trained your skills instead of praying to your god, perhaps you would have stood a chance... You're nothing but an amateur.

-----------------

Frostwraith sheathes his sword and leaves the cultist's katana on the floor, sliding it across the carriage to prevent the cultist from grabbing it.

Frostwraith: (smirks) Now, we wait until the security guards come to arrest you. (makes a signal for Rin, who was on the other carriage)

While Rin came with the passengers, Frostwraith used rope to tie the cultist's hands behind his back.

Frostwraith: You're not going anywhere.

A few minutes later, two guards arrive, arresting the cultist.

Cultist: (handcuffs are put) How! How is serving God a crime?! Don't you realize who you're dealing with?! I am God's servant! Your laws are meaningless! Let me go, you sinners! (turns to the passengers) This is how rotten society is! How must this planet sin more before judgement comes?!

Frostwraith: What a fool...

----------
Meanwhile, somewhere else on the train...

???: (via telepathy) Goenitz-sama, this Frostwraith person shows real promise... He is perfect for our goal...

Goenitz: Indeed... And those cultists are a more than just a thorn in our side. But keep your attentions on Frostwraith. This Church of Truth will be thoroughly dealt with...

===========
Aboard a bullet train back to Tokyo, Frostwraith and Rin are attacked by a member of the Church of Truth, the cult that has risen shortly after the Master's demise. Frostwraith manages to hold his own against him while Rin leads the passengers to safety, and the cultist is arrested. As all that happens, a mysterious woman spies on Frostwraith for an unknown reason...

When Devils Rise, The Search For Brothers Begins With You

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Downtown Diablo City, Devil May Cry Building, Earth
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Damn, business is slow."

The young man sat back in his chair lazily. Behind it, a red trench-coat carrying his custom-made twin pistols, Ebony and Ivory, and Rebellion, his sword handed down from his father, was hanging from a coat hanger. He ran a hand over his short, white hair.

"Not one demon for three whole weeks. No jobs, either. I don't know how long I can take this."

Dante sighed with boredom. Sure, it was pretty fun when the Dark Ones were running around, he enjoyed putting an end to their antics. But now...things were quiet. Too quiet.

"This sucks." He leaned back even further and closed his eyes. "I need action, for crying out loud."

The bell over the door rang.

Dante looked up and saw a young man in a grey, black lined shirt and glasses. He had very short, black hair and a small beard, two short scars under his black eyes, and a cross hanging off his neck. He looked very timid.

"Um...are you Dante?"

"You don't look like the kind of guy that would stray into this part of town." Dante raised an eyebrow. "But whatever. I'm assuming you've got a job for me? Or are you just lost?"

"So...you're him?"

"No sh*t, Sherlock."

"I...uh...I need you to look for someone." The man adjusted his glasses.

"That's it?" Dante looked the other way. "Look, I don't go looking for missing people, that's a job for the police. I'll let you use the phone, but it's gonna cost you."

"The person I'm looking for...isn't exactly a person, per se."

Dante looked back at the man. Now this was interesting. "I'm listening."

The man fiddled with his cross. "He's, well...how should I put this...you can't see or hear him. But he's there."

"How the f*** am I supposed to find him if I can't see or hear him?" Dante asked.

The man winced. "I...I heard some rumors that you had some...special abilities."

"You heard from the right people, then." Dante smirked. "But humor me. What kind of rumors?"

"I heard that you weren't completely human. I've even heard..." The man tightened his grip on his cross. "...that you were half-demon."

"Ha, guilty as charged." The half-demon spread his arms wide open in pride. "But don't worry, I won't steal your soul and send you to hell or whatever you Christians believe."

The man looked generally surprised. "How...?"

"Oh, come on, it's so obvious you might as well carry a sign. The cross was a dead giveaway. It wouldn't work on me anyway." Dante got up from his seat and crossed his arms. "But enough chit-chat. This non-person you want me to find..."

"I thought, maybe, you could somehow sense him or something..." The man said hopefully.

"Well, if he's a devil, then yes, I can." Dante answered plainly.

"A devil...?"

"I hunt them."

"What?!"

"We can discuss this later. Is he a demon?"

"I don't even know WHAT he is..." The man put his hand on his neck in nervousness. "And he's...family."

"Family matter, huh?" Dante nodded. "Alright. Here's what we're gonna do." He walked towards his trench coat and pulled out a coin. "I'm gonna flip this coin. If it's heads, I'll help you, free of charge. Tails, and I'll send your *ss flying out the door."

"What!" The man screamed. "Why?!"

"Because I'm bored, OK?" Dante put the coin on his thumb. "Ready?"

"Wait!"

Dante ignored him and flipped the coin. It flipped about a dozen or so times in the air and landed on his open palm.

It was heads.

"Well, well, well." Dante said. "Today's your lucky day."

The man sighed in relief. "You'll help me?"

"I've got nothing better to do." The devil hunter picked up his coat and put it on, checking to see if all of his equipment was in place. "So, got a name?"

"Edgar." The man answered. "Edgar M. Vargas."

"And the non-person?"

"Scriabin S. Vargas." Edgar said. "He's my little brother."

"And do you have any idea where he might be?"

"Probably in someone else's head."

Dante blinked. "...You have some explaining to do, Ed."

---------------------------------------------------------
Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo, Japan, Earth.
--------–-----------------------------------------------

You have no idea where we are, do you.

Shut up, I know what I'm doing.

Want me to tell you?

No.

Have you ever been to Japan before?

He--...I...haven't, obviously.

Have you ever even HEARD of this place?

SHUT UP.

Mari put a finger in her ear. "Ow, OK, you don't have to yell...we're in the Shibuya Crossing, by the way." She said out loud. She didn't have to worry about attracting attention, after all. This was one of the busiest walking crossroads on the planet.

I knew that.

No, you didn't. That's the last time I leave you in charge of directions.

Why do I have to do your hard work?
Scriabin sounded quite annoyed.

Because if you're going to be in my head, the least you can do is try to help. Ya know, pull your own weight.

I don't weigh anything.

You know what I mean, Scri.

Don't call me that.

Why not?

Just don't, OK?
Mari felt a very defensive feeling coming from him, and decided that she would press on that issue later. The light changed and all at once, hundreds of people started to cross at the same time.

Why are we even here, anyway?

I'm looking for something.
Mari answered simply.

What are you looking for?

...Let's just say I'll search the whole planet if it's the last thing I do, OK?

...Your determination is impressive. Whatever you're looking for, it must be very important to you.

Mari didn't say anything, but she was sure that her feelings told all to Scriabin.

Why don't we make a deal?

Mari stopped once she got to the other side of the street. What kind of deal?

An exchange of information. You tell me why we're here, and I'll tell you a little about myself. You can ask whatever you want.

And you'll answer truthfully?

Well, that's up to you if you'll believe me.

Hmm.
Mari thought about it. Somehow, I doubt I will.

You say a lot of hurtful things to me, Mari.
Scriabin said innocently, although she had a feeling that he was faking it. Why is that? I've haven't done anything wrong.

Mari found an empty bench to the side and sat down. She thought about his question and, to his surprise, she felt genuinely sorry.

Yeah...you're right. I'm sorry, Scriabin. I'll try not to be so judgmental.

A moment of silence.

...You're...sorry? He said slowly.

Yeah, I can apologize for that...whatever reason you had for saving me, good or bad, you still saved me. So the least I can do is try to be nice to you. After all, she probably wouldn't be here now without him. So...thanks.

After a few minutes of awkwardness, Mari spoke up.

You seemed surprised.

You can actually take responsibility for yourself.

A strange choice of words. Um...of course I can.

...To be honest, I...don't know how to react to that.

Mari made a confused face and sort of shifted her weight to one side. Really?

He never took responsibility for himself--
She felt him bite his tongue at his words.

Huh? He?

...Forget it.

You know someone?

Look, are you going to take my deal or not?
He was being dismissive again. Whoever he is, he certainly has a story to tell...he was just not so willing to tell it.

I've noticed you redirect a lot on subjects you don't want to talk about.

And I've noticed that you're too bossy.

And I've noticed that being sadistic is basically your default state!

Mari heard a slow clapping sound in her ears. She looked around and yet, no one was clapping. Such insight. Wow. I am just astonished. Scriabin deadpanned.

How are you clapping if you don't have a body? She thought.

Not having a body doesn't mean I don't have hands.

That kinda...made no sense.

Neither do you.

Uhhh...good point, actually.

Why, thank you.
Scriabin sounded rather pleased with himself. And Mari couldn't exactly imagine why.

So...about my proposition--

You first.
Mari thought without hesitation.

"Straight and to the point. I like that." Scriabin said physically without missing a beat. Mari turned around and saw that he was sitting right next to her, his legs propped up against nothing and looking like he didn't have a care in the world. Or he didn't just care.

She was going to ask how he could do that, just appear and disappear at will, but she was worried that he would count that as a question.

"God, you're sharp." Scriabin frowned and put his hand on his chin. "That's going to be a problem."

Mari forgot briefly that he could hear her thoughts. She opened her mouth to ask what he was talking about, but that was a question too. She needed to word what she wanted to ask him carefully.

"This should be interesting." Scriabin leaned in closer. "Shoot."

What kind of being are you, some kind of spirit? Mari asked.

"Well played." Scriabin leaned back and smiled. "If you'd just asked 'What are you?', I would have answered differently."

That you are a pessimist, which you already told me.

"You're very sharp. Hmm." He crossed his arms. "To answer the second part of your question, being a spirit implies that I'm dead, which I'm not."

So you're not a spirit. Mari repeated in her mind.

"No." Scriabin answered simply. "And to answer the first part...well...I'm not quite so sure myself, in some ways. But I do know where I come from."

Where did you come from, originally?

"Another well played question. It's difficult to explain, but I guess you can understand. See, there is this system. A lock system."

What is this lock system?

"You're good at this. The lock system is mainly something that harvests hate or something to that effect. And they do that by driving people insane and turning them into glorified hate funnels called locks."

How do they do that, exactly?

"...Well, that's where I come in. They...sort of make these...voices and put them in people's heads and sort of...do whatever it takes to generate as much hate from them as possible until..." Scriabin trailed off. "I don't know why they do that, nor exactly who runs the lock system...but I do know...that they created me. I don't know. I'm just repeating what I heard."

So...what makes you different? You look like you're different. Mari couldn't put her finger on it, but there was something rather strange about Scriabin. She just couldn't figure out what.

"They said something went wrong with my...programming." Scriabin continued, saying the word 'programming' with such hatred and venom that she actually winced. "Like I was some kind of...robot or something, for Christ's sake. Well, I'm not their tool anymore, that's for sure."

Not their tool? "Free will." The words were out of her mouth before she could stop herself.

Scriabin raised his head and had this...confused yet knowing expression on his face. "What?"

They gave you free will. Unintentionally, but still. That's what made you...you. Mari thought back, she didn't want to attract attention like last time. She really didn't know where she was going with this herself, but hey, it looked like it was working.

Because Scriabin didn't answer right away. Until...

"Not exactly. That's..." He trailed off again, thinking to himself. He was remembering something, that was certain, but Mari couldn't hear Scriabin's thoughts. Why is that?

"'Cuz you're not in my head, that's why."

...But...

"Yes?" Scriabin sort of sat up straighter. A feeling of interest was coming off him, but...

Um...nothing.

"...Hmph." He went back to his original position, this time putting his hands behind his head. He looked fairly disappointed. Mari decided to keep the conversation going.
Scriabin?

"Yes?"

Why are you telling me all this?

"Hehehe...Know thy enemy, my dear."

Riiiiiight...and one more thing.

"Hmm?"

You said those voices drove people insane.

"...Yes." Simple response, no emotion.

Well...did you do that? Drive people insane?

That struck a cord. God, she was asking all the right questions and he couldn't find an opening to mislead her. Or maybe he was losing his touch. Hmm.

What to say.

Um...Scriabin?

He had been silent for too long. "...Once. Very nearly."

Who, exactly? The innocence in that question. Scriabin thought to himself. She cannot know. She mustn't know. She knows nothing, absolutely nothing, but she was asking all the right questions and she knew nothing, NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING AT ALL--

You...don't have to answer if you don't want to.

Innocence. And she knew nothing.

Or did she?

What to say...

"Your well worded questions are actually getting annoying." Scriabin said with a growl. More like driving him insane. She couldn't know.

A question is a question. Who? She asked.

She's persistent. Well, the truth is stranger than fiction. Might as well.

"...My older brother."

......You...have an older brother?

"Yes--"

THERE'S TWO OF YOU!? Mari mentally screamed. Which was good, because if she had said that out loud at that volume, she would have broken glass.

Meanwhile, Scriabin saw this as the perfect opportunity to screw around a little. "Three, actually." He pretended to correct her, with a sly smile.

...You're lying, aren't you? Mari crossed her arms and squinted her eyes in the universal 'I'm on to you' sort of way.

"Hmm, OK, you got me." Just giving her this one just to let her guard down. "It's just me and Edgar. And he's hardly...like me. He's normal...well, sort of."

Sort of?

"Yes, sort of, as in not quite." You're slipping, dear.

Mari heard that thought and reworded her question. Sort of, how?

"There we go." Wait, was that approval on his face, or was Mari just imagining it? No, it was probably fake. He continued, "While being a lock is nothing but a burden on whoever the lock system targets, it does come with one perk. That person can't die, unless the voice in their head somehow does the job himself."

And something tells me you don't wanna die, obviously.

"Who doesn't?" Scriabin shrugged. "That's it."

Or that's all you're going to tell me?

"Bingo." He smirked. "Sorry." Not sorry at all. Of course.

Can I ask about your brother?

Scriabin saw no harm in telling her a few minor things. "His name is Edgar M. Vargas. He's 28, his blood type is AB, right-handed, allergic to shellfish, Christian, a complete wuss, irresponsible, naive and professional doormat."

Uhhh....Waaaay too much information...

"Mmm, that's just the gist of it." He smiled in that creepy way again, and Mari got the feeling that something evil was going on in his head..or something to that effect. "Would you like for me to go into more detail?"

NOOOOooooooo... Mari shook her head furiously and waved her hands in front of her. Nooo, that's OK, really.

"Oh, the stories I can tell. For example, he's got this really ugly scar on his--"

NONONO, you really don't have to tell me more about Edgar...really.

"I was going to say on his shoulder. It's very unsightly. No wonder he doesn't have a girlfriend."

Scriabin--

"Hey, do you want to know what his middle name is?!" His whole demeanor changed from being creepy and sly to that of a giddy child.

You're not going to let this go, are you. Mari deadpanned.

"Do you want to know?"

Ugh, fine...what's his middle--

"Moonflower! MOONFLOWER!" Scriabin literally doubled over in laughter. "Moonflower! Pftthahahahahaha!"

Moonflower...? Mari thought.

"His--our parents were hippies." He said once he calmed down, but he was still chuckling. "Pfft, Moonflower. Gets me every time."

Huh. That's a pretty name.

He gave her a curious look. "Pretty?! Come on, it's hilarious. Don't you have any sense of humor? I mean, MOONFLOWER. Imagine saying that in public. Moonflower!" Scriabin burst into laughter again. "Hello, my name is Edgar MOONFLOWER Vargas, haha--"

"What's yours?" Mari casually asked out loud, but not too loudly.

Scriabin instantly stopped laughing. "...What?"

"What's your middle name?"

A flash of annoyance crossed his face, followed by a hard emotionless expression. "No."

"No? Your middle name is No?" Mari cracked a smile. "Because if it is, that would explain a lot of things."

"No, as in I'm not answering that."

"Why not--Ohhhhhhhh. I get it." Mari smiled knowingly. "You are such a hypocrite. You think you have an embarrassing middle name too!"

Scriabin turned away from her. "I think you've asked enough questions."

"Come on, tell me!" This time, it was Mari's turn to be excited.

"No. F*** off." He turned his head and growled at her. "Never."

"Please? Come on, it's not like everybody can hear you, just me. I won't tell anyone, I promise."

"NO."

She sighed. Man, he was difficult. "Look, if I didn't think Moonflower was funny, what makes you think I'll laugh at yours?"

Scriabin didn't say anything.

"OK, you've forced me into this. Tell me or I won't tell you why we're here."

She heard him growl again in frustration. "Of all the people I had to..Goddamnit...ugh, FINE." But he just fell into stubborn silence.

"So? What is it?"

"....."

"Scri? I'm waiting."

"....symphony...." A low whisper, bearly audible.

"What?"

"SYMPHONY!!!" Scriabin turned around and screamed at the top of his lungs. There was a huge headache that followed and it throbbed in her brain for each word said. "IT'S SYMPHONY, OK?!"

"GAAAAH!!"

Immediate silence both inside her head and around her...wait.

Around her?

Mari. Scriabin's mental voice echoed through the pain. He didn't sound worried or concerned at all.

Ow...what?

You yelled that out loud.

I...Wait, what?

Idiot. Look around.

Mari shook her head a little, the pain slowly subsiding. Dizzy, but that too, was clearing. She opened her eyes and saw that people were staring at her. Lots of people.

Argh, not again!

Hey, Miss Too-curious-for-her-own-good? You might want to take a look behind you.

Marching towards her were about a dozen or so solders in black, and within minutes, they had her surrounded. One of them stepped forward. "Mari, by order of Dictator Muhti, you are under arrest for assisting the Dark Ones in their heinous crimes."

Now, THAT'S a pretty big lie. This 'Muhti' sounds like a pretty bad kid. Scriabin sneered. My kind of company.

Oh, don't you get any ideas.

"You will come quietly. He requested that you and all of Master Hand's Army be brought to him alive." The soldier continued. "You should be thankful."

"Yeah, yeah, the day I say I'm thankful for something he's done is the day I jump off an airship. While it's exploding." Mari pretended to think, putting a finger to her chin. "Oh, wait, I already did that. So sorry. Could you do me a favor?"

"What?"

Her hand suddenly glowed with a white light, and she punched him right in the gut. He flew a good five feet backwards, straight into a pole.

"Tell him I'm very, very busy right now. He'll know what I mean." Mari said in a much more serious and deadly tone. "And if he so much as lays one hand on on him, I'll rip his soul to shreds, stitch it back together, and then send it straight to hell."

I had no idea you could do that! Scriabin said excitingly.

I told you, I'm--

No, I had no idea you could be this beautifully diabolic... He laughed cruelly. And something tells me you can be even darker. Man, you actually have a spine to stand up with! Heh, that's certainly a nice change.

Scriabin, please, I'm trying to be threatening here.

Want some tips?
Scriabin chuckled a little at his own wittiness. Snarl a little. Men are terrified of women who snarl. It also helps to hold your head up high, especially when you are this small. What are you, 5 foot even?

Scriabin!

5 foot 2?

Will you be quiet!?

Maybe even 4 foot 9?

I'M 5 FOOT 4, OK--

A gunshot rang out and Mari instantly put up a shield around herself. The bullet bounced off like nothing and pretty soon, the whole squadron of soldiers were firing at her. People started screaming and ran away as soon as the first bullet rang out.

Fffffffffffu--

Don't you dare finish that word!

I thought they wanted you alive! What the hell did you do?!? I take it back, when I find this Muhti, he's going to regret ever coming into existence!

It's not really Muhti, it's--Ugh, we don't have time for this!

Mari extended the shield outward, pushing the soldiers back a good distance away from her so that she could make a quick getaway. She didn't have time to deal with this.

Not when he could be somewhere nearby.

He?

Later!

"After her!" One of the soldiers cried after he recovered.

Mari teleported to the other side of the crossing and began tearing down the street toward the Shibuya 109 Building. When she got there, though, she was faced with an unpleasant surprise. More soldiers blocked the entrance to the building itself, while more of them were blocking all means of escape.

Looks like someone's dying today, and I'm sure as hell it isn't going to be me.

Uh, hello? I'm right here!

You better not die either, otherwise I'll make things very painful for you--

No one's dying today, Scri.

The ferocity and finality in her mental tone made him sort of recoil a bit. At least that shut him up. Mari got into a fighting stance. This should be no problem.

There was a lot of them, though. How did they get here so fast? Was Chaos expecting her to come--

Of course. He was the one who told her he was here!

WHO THE HELL IS CHAOS!?! AND YOU WERE STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE HIM?!?

"AAARGH!" Another spitting headache, one that shook her entire body and brought Mari down to her knees in pain.

I can't believe this, how can you be this moronic?! This was all a trap! Argh, of all the people I had to pick, it had to be someone with their pathetic heart on their pathetic sleeve! Scriabin ranted. God, why did I have to get stuck with you?!

P...pick...stuck..?

SHUT UP!!!

As another wave of white-hot pain came over her, the soldiers moved in to capture their quarry. "She seems to be in the middle of some sort of seizure. We might need a medic." Said one of them.

"She picked a good time to have one." Said another.

"Oh, it really isn't her fault."

"Huh?"

Meanwhile, Scriabin switched to his physical voice to inflict more pain on Mari, of which he seemed to be completely aware of.

"Of all the...Damn it, you're not even standing up!" Scriabin was now hovering above her with a mean, unmerciful look of hate. "Get up! You're going to get us killed!"

"Stop...yelling..."

"You are NOT the boss of me! Now get up and beat the crap out of--

"ENOUGH!!" Mari suddenly screamed and lunged at him, her hands crackling with white lighting. She completely caught him off guard, but of course, she went right through him, as he wasn't really there. But you get the idea. "You are not the boss of me either! YOU'RE THE ONE THAT'S MAKING ME FEEL THIS!!" Mari had trained herself to not blow up like this, but damn it, HE WAS GETTING ON HER LAST NERVE.

"ME?! I THOUGHT YOU ACTUALLY HAD A SPINE!" Scriabin has recovered quickly at her previous thought and yelled back in rage. "BUT NO, YOU TURN OUT BE ANOTHER GODDAMN DOORMAT! A FEW HARSH WORDS AND YOU'RE ON YOUR KNEES YOU WEAK-MINDED LITTLE--"

"Please leave her alone, Mr. Vargas. You really aren't making things any better."

Both turned around and saw two teenage boys standing a few feet away. One had blue eyes, purple clothing, white shorts, purple headphones and bright orange spiky hair. The other had a gray polo shirt, dark pants, dark blond shaggy hair, gray eyes and he was holding an orange cell phone in his right hand. He was the one who spoke first.

"Who the hell are you two?" Scriabin growled. "I'm busy."

"Busy torturing someone who's clearly suffering because of your temper tantrums?" The orange haired-boy made an angry face. "You're really selfish, aren't you?"

"Screw you, you don't know me! I can do whatever the hell I want!"

Mari took a few deep breaths to calm herself.

2...4...6...8...10...12...14...16...18...20.

Calm.

When her mind was clear...well, besides the grumbling voice that was cursing in... Russian? Scriabin knew Russian?

"Um...Scriabin?"

"Oh! Now you decide to stop being a wimp!" He turned back angrily towards her.

"Scri..."

"Do not call me that! You know, I really thought you weren't a fool, a doormat, a weak, pitiful little girl, but you can never tell how people will react to a serious--"

"Scriabin, they can see you!" Mari screamed.

He took a moment to process what she said, and turned back to the two teenagers.
"What...the f--" Mari took this opportunity to hit Scriabin squarely on the back of his head while he was distracted. Sure, it went right through him, but she was still a little angry. "What the hell was that for?!" He yelled, even if he didn't feel anything.

"That was for giving me two seizures today." Mari said annoyingly. "Also, no cursing while in my brain."

The two teens chuckled. "You're looking at someone shouldn't be underestimated, Mr. Vargas." The dark blond guy smiled slyly. "Are you sure you can handle her?"

"Handle--who do you think you are?" Scriabin strode towards the pair in an angry fit of rage. "You know nothing about me, pretty boy--"

"Oh, I know much more about you than you do yourself, Scriabin Symphony Vargas. Lovely middle name, by the way. It's so ironic, yet it fits."

"Why, you--"

"Scriabin, please, let him talk." Mari, now feeling much better, stepped forward. "I'm sorry, he can be kinda...robust."

"Robu--This coming from a walking doormat?"

"Stop calling me a doormat."

"Yes, I agree." The boy shifted his hair to one side and put his phone away. "The adults are talking here, Scri."

Scriabin looked like he was about to pop a vein. "Is...is it OK...if I strangle his TINY SCRAWNY NECK?!?"

"Are you asking me because you can't?" Mari asked.

"DO IT FOR ME, THEN!"

"I am not strangling anyone." She said calmly.

The non-physical being made a loud frustrated sound and pulled his long black hair with such force she thought he was going to tear it all out. The idea of Scriabin being bald was a little too funny for her and she couldn't help but crack out a smile.

"..............." Scriabin's eye twitched as he caught wind of that thought. "..................Screw it. Screw this, screw you, screw you and screw YOU." He pointed to the two boys and then Mari with every 'you' he said. "Screw everything! I'm done! D-O-N-E. Good-bye, thanks for playing, GO JUMP OFF A CLIFF!!" And with that, he disappeared from sight, even Mari's. Until he popped up a few seconds later with an ominous message. His tone was cold and unforgiving.

"When you're done talking to these losers, I'm coming back out. Consider yourself in danger when I do...I'm always listening."

Always. Even in here.

He disappeared again.

A chilling silence. After a few tense seconds, Mari ran a hand through her hair and, for some reason, drew a shaky breath. Was...she afraid?

What else can this guy can do to me?

"It's OK, Mari."

She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to face the orange, headphone wearing teen. He had a kind look on his face. "It's only natural to feel like this. Heck, I'd be freaking out too if I had someone like him in my brain."

"Thanks...but...how'd you know my name?"

"Yeah, you're kinda famous by now." He explained. "Your face has been all over the news. That, and Joshua told me."

"Joshua?"

"That would be me." The dark blond teen spoke up. "My name is Yoshiya Kiryu...but you can call me Joshua."

"I'm Neku Sakuraba. Call me Neku." The other one said.

"I'm Mari." Mari said. "But you guys apparently knew that already."

"And your new...friend?" Joshua asked.

Mari heard a small scoffing sound coming from somewhere in the back of her mind. She ignored it for now. "Didn't you say you already knew all about him?" She pointed out.

"Ooo, you are sharp. But humor me." He smirked. Somehow, Joshua reminded her of Scriabin, but he had a much more...pleasant air about him.

"Um...Scriabin Vargas. Like I said, he's a bit robust." And a lot of other things...

"Hmmhmm. And what else?"

"Um...he said he was a pessimist."

Joshua had the most amused expression on his face. "Reeeeeally? I adore pessimists. They're so cute."

"Umm, not to change the subject, but..." Mari looked around. All the soldiers were lying on the ground in a heap of bruises and maybe a broken bone or two. "Did you guys do this?"

"Heh. Yep." Joshua looked a little smug. "And they have no idea who they're really working for."

"Wait...you mean you know? About..."

"Chaos? Oh, yes, I do." Here, he frowned. "So he's finally making his move..."

Mari turned towards Neku and gave him a confusing look that said, 'Do you have any idea what he's thinking about?'

Neku shrugged as if to say, 'No clue.'

"Regardless, I suppose that's not quite the reason you're here in Shibuya, now, is it?" Joshua continued. "I hear you're looking for a certain someone."

"Who...told you?" Mari said defensibly. She REALLY didn't need another person trying to derail her search. Seriously, if he was going to get in the way, he is SO getting beat down...

"Oh, relax. I'm not here to get in the way." Joshua smiled. "In fact, I want to help you find your older brother."

A surprised sound from Scriabin. To him, this just got interesting.

"......How?" Mari asked cautiously. Normally, she would have been more trusting, but Scriabin put her in a bad mood. That, and he knew too much. Honestly, she didn't like people who knew too much, but she tried to give everyone a chance.

Well, almost everyone...

Har Har.

Back so soon?

Scriabin didn't answer back.

Joshua was eerily silent for a few seconds. It was like he was waiting for Mari and Scri to finish 'talking'. Meanwhile, Neku was listening to music on his headphones. He figured he'd let them do all the talking for now.

"Well, I present to you with two options." Joshua said after a while. "Either we search the old fashioned way, looking for one person out of a country of 9 million..."

Neku took off his headphones. Were they getting old? Suddenly they sounded all scratchy...

"...OR we could play a game."

"Joshua." As soon as he heard those words, Neku turned and stared at Joshua with this...serious look on his face. "No."

"Don't you trust me, Neku?" Joshua said with...what, smugness? Mari wasn't sure.

"I do." Neku said simply, his hair covering his eyes, making him look a little dark. "But don't do this. This isn't what I was expecting when you said 'adventure'."

"Well..." Joshua turned back to Mari, that smug smirk still on this face. "Let's have Mari decide. After all...it would be a shame if she left our beautiful city empty-handed."

Mari didn't need to think too hard to know the answer.

"I don't have any reason to trust you, Joshua." She stated simply. "I'm sorry, but I can't let a silly little game cloud over what's important to me. I...I have to find Eric."

"What would you give up to see him again?" Joshua asked.

"Everything." Mari said without hesitation.

"Even your life?"

"...No."

"Oh?" Joshua raised an eyebrow. "Why is that?"

"Because he's alive and if I die before I can find him, I...I'll have to wait that much longer." Mari could feel tears beginning to form for some reason, but she held them in. "I can't...I can't do that to him, not now. But if he's in some kind of danger...if his life was on the brink of oblivion...then yes. I would die to save him. The same goes for my friends, too."

"So when it comes to friends and family, you would do anything to keep them safe." Joshua recapped. "But here's the question of the hour..." He paused for dramatic effect. "Would you give up your friends for your family?"

"Joshua, please." Neku interrupted. "I know what you're trying to do. Don't do this."

"I'm just asking her some questions, Neku. Don't be so alarmed. She hasn't even made her choice yet." Joshua reassured him.

Mari did some serious thinking. And all the while, Scriabin was listening. To be honest, he was quite curious to see how she would answer. She sat down on stairs to the Shibuya 109 Building and thought some more. It was quite a while before she spoke again. "That...would be the hardest decision I hope to never face. But fate has never been so kind to me."

Bah.

Shut up.

"But...in a way...my friends ARE my family." Mari continued. "Sonic's...Sonic's like Eric in a lot of ways. He sort of...filled in a hole I thought would never go away. And Magolor's like an overprotective parent...Sonic too, but he's a little more cool about it now...and they've always been there for me, even when I pushed them both away. Marx...Marx is like the crazy uncle and Drawcia's the over dramatic aunt." Mari's smile got wider as she remembered her friends. "Luco's...like, the nicest cousin/best friend ever. So is his brother, Del. Richard and Wesker are like the mischievous twins and Fire and his gang too, I think. Frostwraith...yeah, he's a good leader. A great leader. He would be...our babysitter!" She laughed. "And Smashfan...oh, jeez, Smashfan. I have no idea." More laughter. "That guy is nuts...but in the good way. Xiroey--"

She stopped.

"Xiro...is just a wonderful person. He's like a brother to me, too. He's a great guy to hang around with. Just don't put him near any berry smoothies, he'll go crazy for those things. Or...was that Typhlosion? Because he definitely likes berries. Almost crushed me to bits for some...actually, now that I think about it, he was just happy to see me. Oh, and Latias! Man, I haven't seen her in a long time...and Stormy! Stormy's a lot like Xiro, too. I wonder--"

Another pause. And...a sudden ache in her heart.

"I wonder how they're all doing." Not much time had pasted since the Dark One's Master was defeated and they all went their separate ways...and she already missed them.

Suddenly I feel so...lonely.

"And Muhti?"

"Huh?" Mari sort of forgot that Joshua and Neku were still here.

"I heard that you and Muhti were friends, even if you both annoyed each other to death." Joshua continued. "You were even on the same side, once."

"Yeah, but...that..."

That was a long time ago...now...I don't think I ever really knew him at all. I tried to, but...now I know the truth.

Or at least some of it.

"Muhti...is like a long lost third cousin twice removed. That I had a really big fight with. That's...that's how things stand now."
I think.

"Don't you hate him?" Joshua asked.

"Of course I...hate..." Mari slowly trailed off.

I do hate him, he's done things I can never forgive him for...but...

Wait. I hate Chaos, not Muhti. I mean, I did hate Muhti--no, that doesn't sound right either! I...

I don't know what to think anymore! Gah!

Life can be such a ***** sometimes, you know?

Shut up, Scri.

Make me.

Ugh, no thanks, too much effort.

That's what I thought.

Aaarrrgh...

"Mmm." Joshua put his hand to his chin and sighed. "You still haven't completely answered my question."

"Oh. I...I can't choose, really. My friends are everything to me, but Eric...he's the only family I have left. And...family will always be there for you. At least, that's what he told me, a long time ago. Eric, I mean."

Almost always.

Mari didn't even bother to ask what he meant.

"So. The thing that you value the most is both your friends and family." Joshua smiled kindly.

"Um...Yeah." She didn't know why she opened up to him like that, nor did she know why he was asking all these questions. Maybe she just needed someone to talk to that wasn't a complete jerk...

You know, things would have gone a lot smoother if you'd just listen to me.

I don't even want to deal with you right now.

"Joshua?"

"Yes?"

"How do you know all this, anyway? How can you and Neku see Scriabin? Why do you want to help me?"

"Whoa, whoa...slow down there." Joshua said. "Well...let's just say I have a certain...omnipotency."

"I just use my Player Pin to Scan for things that aren't visible to the naked eye. Joshua let me keep it." Neku held up a small black and white pin with an elegant skull symbol on it. "That's how I can see him. Joshua has his...omni-whatever thing going on for him."

"As for wanting to help you...things have been rather boring in the UG..." Joshua sighed. "So I came here to the RG and found my partner here, Neku."

"You never told me anything, you know. Just 'Let's go on a little adventure!'" Neku looked annoyed. "But if you're just here to 'recruit' new Players--"

"Um...I have no idea what you two are talking about, but I don't have time for a game, alright?" Mari interrupted.

"Oh, it's not that time consuming...only a week."

"A week?!"

"All you have to do is give me the one thing you value most as your Entry Fee." Joshua said calmly. "So what do you say?"

"What the--No! I am not giving up those I care about the most just for the sake of YOUR entertainment!" Mari stared angrily into his eyes.

"Think about it, at least." Joshua was still using that calm tone, like if they were just discussing what coffee they like or something. "Say you give me your brother--"

"NO. That's final. I am NOT playing your stupid game!"

"But if you win..." He continued. "I would give him to you."

"I--wait...you...you know where he IS?" Mari yelled.

"Hmm, not exactly, but if you agree, he would be in my possession. And if you manage to make it through the week, I'll return him to you. That's how the Reaper's game works."

"Reaper's Game?"

"Don't do it." Neku reached out a hand as if to stop either Joshua or Mari. "Just don't."

"I wasn't planning to. I'm sorry, but if you're here just to play games, then you guys are wasting my time." Mari turned away. "I'm not giving up my brother for...for...for anything."

"Not even your friends?"

Mari's eyes widened.

"So you WOULD give up your friends for him. Interesting."

"No! No, that's...that's not what I meant...they're ALL important to me, OK?" Mari sighed. "I...if they were both in danger, I would try to save both, no matter what the conditions and consequences are! "

Both teens were quiet. Even Scriabin was quiet.

"Even if it costs me my life." Mari had never been more serious about something like this for...a while.

"Man." Neku spoke after a few seconds. "Must be tough being you, then."

"You don't know the half of it."

"Heh heh...well, that's it, then. You pass."

"Wha?" Both Neku and Mari looked at Joshua confusingly. "Passed what?"

"My little test. You put other's needs before your own, even your own life." Joshua said to Mari. "And you won't let anyone or anything get in the way of that. Not even the Reaper's Game. Usually, people don't have a choice in participating, but I gave you a very special offer. I AM Shibuya's Composer, after all."

"Composer?"

"I'll, uh, explain later." Neku said. "It's complicated."

"So...I passed your...test?" Mari asked.

"And your reward? Our services." Joshua bowed a little. "Both of our services."

"THIS is the thing you didn't want me to know, isn't it." Neku looked unamused. "OK, fine, I'll help too."

"...Thank You."

Scriabin? Mari thought.

What?

Do...do want to want to help me find Eric too?

Are you seriously asking me? Please...like I have a choice.

You always have a choice.

Whatever. You're probably going to regret this anyway.

For once, I agree.

(((GAH, I COULDNT FIND THIS IN A SMALLER SIZE BUT THIS IS A MUCH BETTER PICTURE OF SCRIABIN EXCEPT HE DOESNT HAVE THE RED TIE OF YARN IN HIS HAIR AND HIS GLASSES ARE A LITTLE SMALL BUT YOU CAN JUST TELL HE'S A TOTAL A** JUST FROM THIS PICTURE. K SHUTTING UP NOW.)))

"Well, now that all the formalities are out of the way, why don't we get going?" Joshua said. "I think your brother is somewhere in the east part of the city."

"Really!?" Mari yelled in excitement. "What are we waiting for?!?

"We can take the bullet train." Neku suggested.

"Oh, good idea, Neku. Let's go. I have a feeling someone's already there." Joshua was already walking down to the station. "And I think it's someone you know, Mari--"

A flash of white suddenly ran past him, and by the time Joshua and Neku catched up, Mari was already halfway there. A little while later, they were at the station. Joshua was right! Coming out of the train was Frostwraith, and some other new faces.

"Frostwraith! Over here!" Mari happily called. She was pretty glad to see him, but why was he in Tokyo? "Hey! It's been a while!"

----------------------------------
Somewhere in Tokyo...
----------------------------------

"And...you can lead me to her if I help the Church of Truth?"

"If it is God's will."

"What's the catch?"

"You must repent for your sins and relinquish all that corrupts both the heart and mind. Your sister may join as well, if she wishes."

"Yeah...on second thought, cults aren't really my thing."

"You dare to refuse His judgment?!"

"No, I just have a bad feeling about you and your...Messiah."

"You sinner! You will PAY for your blasp-GAAH!"

The dark-haired male with gold eyes just waved his glowing hand and the white cultist flew backwards into a trash can in a dark alley. "I think I'll pass." He said. After that, he fell back into the busy crowd, his white trench coat flapping in the wind. On the back of his coat was a strange blue symbol that resembled a sword inside a very intricate oak tree. As he stood on a corner waiting to cross the street, a businessman bumped into him. He apologized in Japanese, and moved out of the way.

Japan. 9 million people. They haven't given a response to join The United Nations or not...but that's not the only reason I'm here...I'm only looking for one person. He thought. And I'm not even sure if she's on Earth anymore...

"Lovely weather, isn't it, Eric?"

Eric turned around and found a middle-aged man with a red bowtie and tweed jacket. He was looking happily at the sky, for some reason.

"Look, I already told you, I'm not joining your cult." Eric's eyes briefly went from gold to neon blue. "So forget it."

"Oh, I'm not with them. I am, however, quite curious on how you're going find your sister. 9 million people, all moving around, never stopping for a second. Everyone's got something to do here." The man looked down at Eric and smiled. "You might need some help."

"I don't have a reason to trust you." Eric said. Does everyone know about me and Mari?

"Oh, alright, then, I'll give you one." The man extended his hand outwards. "Hello, I'm The Doctor."

Eric didn't take his hand at first, but...Mom always told him to give everyone a chance and then some. He shook The Doctor's hand.

"Well...Hi. I'm Eric."

(((OH MY GOD, THIS TOOK FOREVER. But I think I did good! Not gonna write a summery cuz I hate you. XD Kidding. Remember, Frost, You can't see or hear Scriabin...unless you wanna, like, somehow sense him. Mari won't tell you he's there, tho, cuz I'm sort of building up something.)))

Some Sort of Crazy Commotion at Tokyo — World(s) under Chaos

===========
Frostwraith was on the train. The next station would be Shibuya, in Tokyo.

Frostwraith: So, we're arriving to Tokyo at long last... (Train stops. Doors open and people start exiting out of the train.) Let's go, Rin.

Frostwraith exits out of the train. Among the people exiting, there were the guards who arrested the cultist.

Mari: Frostwraith! Over here!

Frostwraith: Well, well, well... If it isn't Mari herself. What are you doing here in Tokyo of all places? Looks like you got yourself company as well...

Rin: You know each other?

Mari: I would be asking YOU the same thing!

Frostwraith: (provoking) You know what they say... Ladies first...

Mari: (annoyed) Fine, fine. I'm looking for my brother. Oh, and those guys are Neku and Joshua.

Neku: And you're the Frostwraith guy Mari told us about.

Frostwraith: Oh? Guess I can skip my own introduction if you know who I am...

Mari: Yeah, but who's that guy who came with you?

Rin: Oh, me? Uh... I'm Rin Okumura. I'm a student of the True Cross Academy. I want to be an exorcist.

Joshua: An aspiring exorcist? That's interesting...

Frostwraith: Anyway, Mari... You said you were looking for your brother, right?

Mari: Yeah. Joshua just told me he's on the eastern part of Tokyo. And what are you doing here?

Frostwraith: I'm working for a secret agency. I'm investigating a cult that has been spreading its influence on this world.

Mari: Wait... Are you talking about some guys who've done terrorist attacks and killing people claiming they work for God?

Frostwraith: So you've heard of them...

Mari: Those guys are crazy! They tried to kill me!

Frostwraith: Hmm... Same for me and Rin...

Mari: Lemme guess. They tried to "save" you by killing you.

Frostwraith: Sounds like we're talking about the same cult... Besides that cult, my job is also to find unstable dimensional rifts and close them. According to the agency I'm working for, this cult and the rifts have begun to appear shortly after the Dark Ones' defeat... And I hardly believe this is a coincidence.

Joshua: Dimensional rifts... You mean portals that lead to other worlds? Right here in Tokyo? It's really what they say... All the weird stuff happens in this city.

Frostwraith: Well... Those dimensional rifts have been popping up everywhere, so it's not just here. Given they're unstable, you enter one of those and you end up who knows where... Anyway, I've been sensing a strange power coming from an area north of here. I believe it might be one of those rifts.

Neku: So, where are we going next?

Frostwraith: Mari, you said you wanted to find your brother and he's on the eastern part of the city, right? Well, this being Shibuya, he shouldn't be far away.

Mari: Really?

Frostwraith: Yeah... I would use my soul tracking magic, but there's just so many people around here, it's impossible to find him without knowing his soul well. In other words, there's nothing I can do to help you in that regard...

Mari: That's too bad... Maybe I could help you with finding that portal first, then you could help me finding my brother.

Frostwraith: Sounds like a deal.

Suddenly, steps from high heeled shoes are heard getting closer and closer to the group. The steps were slow and calm, but the loud sound echoed on the quieter street coupled with the city's sounds.

Fire Emblem: Awakening - Misericorde

???: This is about as far as you will go, Frostwraith-san...

Rin: Who's there?!

Everyone turned back, finding a woman dressed in a traditional kimono adorned nature themed imagery. She wore platform shoes that increased her already large height. Her black hair was long, going all the way down to her knees. She also held a naginata (a kind of a Japanese lance) that was heavily decorated. The golden handle was themed like a Asian dragon, with the weapon's blade coming from the mouth.

???: Minna-san, konnichiwa. Watashi wa Ichi de gozaimasu. ("Greetings, everyone. My name is Ichi." in Japanese, with a formal/polite tone.)

Frostwraith: From what you've just said and by the weapon you're holding, you cannot be up to any good...

Ichi: You're quick to assume things, are you not? My lord needs you alive. I have come to ask you if you would please come with me.

Frostwraith: What if I refuse?

Ichi: If you do refuse, I am afraid I, Ichi of the Four Heavenly Kings, will have to bring you to my lord... by force. I surely hope we do not have to resort to meaningless violence. What is your word on this pertinent matter, Frostwraith-san?

Frostwraith: If that is your stance, I can tell you're up for something fishy... Are you with the Church of Truth?

Ichi: It was certainly rude of you to even suggest that, Frostwraith-san. My lord wants nothing with that cult. Now, I'm offering you this last chance to come with me. I'm hoping that you, just like my lord and I, want to solve this peacefully.

Frostwraith: Well, I have to refuse your nonsense. I'm busy right now, so begone.

Ichi: How very unfortunate. (makes a battle stance) My lord wants you alive. It is a shame this has to happen like this... With the floor being painted crimson by blood spilled in battle...

Frostwraith: You're trying to kidnap me... Guess I'll have to teach you a lesson. (smirks and draws sword)

Mari: Frostwraith, wait!

Frostwraith: Stay back! It's me she's after!

--------------
Heavenly Queen
ICHI
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Dawn Brigade

Frostwraith: Switch Weapon... Purity Katana mode!

Ichi: Ah, so you will use the katana...

Frostwraith: You will learn that anyone who messes with me is good as dead. (slices the air and suddenly slashes appear all over Ichi's skin)

Ichi: Urgh... Such is his power...! For my lord, however, I shall fight to the end...

Frostwraith: You may well have a death wish, then. Farewell, lady... (prepares spell with his katana) Byakko-fuu!

Ichi manages to defend against the great wind slash coming at her.

Frostwraith: What?!

Ichi: I turned your powers into Mu. As you know, in Japanese, Mu means nothingness.

Frostwraith: (smirks) In other words, a fancy way of saying you dispelled my magic...

Ichi: You are correct. Now allow me to lull you into deep sleep... (her naginata becomes charged with dark magic) Mugetsu!

Frostwraith: Eastern Magic... Hikari no Yaiba!! (strikes Ichi with his katana inbued with light and Ichi defends herself, canceling both spells)

Ichi: I'm impressed by your magic power...

Frostwraith: Flattery won't lead you anywhere. Now, begone before I kill you.

Ichi: I have my mission and I shall not let my honor be tarnished with failure!

Frostwraith: Then rest in peace... (charges at Ichi, who charges at Frostwraith)

Both Frostwraith and Ichi strike each other. Frostwraith is wounded on his arm, while Ichi suffers a deep cut on her belly.

Ichi: Ah... This battle is over... My lord... (faints)

---------
Rin: Are you okay?!

Frostwraith: Yes... I'm fine... Just a flesh wound.

Joshua: My, my... What a crazy lady you just met. It seems everyone is after you, Frostwraith. How can we know we're safe with you being the center of attention of crazed people?

Frostwraith: As if the Church of Truth wasn't enough... Well, let's get moving. We have a dimensional rift to find as well as Mari's brother.

----------
Somewhere else...

Goenitz: How disappointing, Ichi... But, indeed, Frostwraith is stronger than I imagined... Defeating one of the Four Heavenly Kings in battle is quite a feat. No wonder he defeated the Master of the Dark Ones. Yet, as hard as he tries and no matter how strong he is, fate has already been written long ago and not even him can avoid it... We are but actors on the grand stage that is the world...

=============
Frostwraith meets with Mari in Tokyo. With both having something to find on the city, they agree to help each other on both objectives. Before they can go, the mysterious woman pursuing him reveals herself to be known as Ichi, presenting herself as one of the Four Heavenly Kings. She demands Frostwraith to go with her under the threat of taking him by force. Frostwraith refuses and both fight, Frostwraith defeating her. Now Frostwraith has two different factions going after him, one that wants him dead and another that wants him alive...

Flight to Tokyo 24 Hours later

------------------------------------------------

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lpwg3CNzUZs

[24 hours after leaving the white house, Tokyo japan comes into view]

Wesker: Alright, we're landing the plane on the runway.

Wesker makes a smooth landing on the airport runway, the plane comes to a stop, and everyone gets out.

Richard: Okay we need to start looking for some of our allies if they're here.

Jill: How are we supposed to find them in a city of 9 million people walking constantly to their destination? It's rush hour everyday in Tokyo.

Wesker: We'll split into three groups, Alice, along with Richard and I will search one small part of Tokyo. Jill along with the militia men will search another part of Tokyo that will be close to our search perimeter. If neither of our search parties find nothing, we'll head to Shibuya then

Chris: What about us?

Wesker: You and your sister will head down to the subway station, we'll be communicating constantly, if you spot someone suspicious, let us know. Now let me give you all these communicators ( Wesker gives everyone a Wrist watch.)

Alice: Are these supposed to be the communicators?

Richard: Yes, there's a red button on the watch with the umbrella insignia, press and hold it, then start talking. Everyone wearing the watch will be able to hear what you're saying.

Wesker: Yes, but only let us know if you see someone strange, and we'll come see who it is.

Everyone begins their search, Chris and Claire Redfield head down to the subway to begin their search, While Jill, the militia men, Alice Wesker and Richard search the streets.

Wesker: Wait I have a better idea!

Richard: You're just thinking of one already?

Wesker: We can track our allies last location, using the satellite system in the umbrella building.

Alice: Well let's go then.

Alice, Wesker and Richard head to the Umbrella security building.

...............................................................................................................................................................................

Meanwhile in the Subway Chris and Claire continue searching the subway

Chris: Look over there!

Claire: Blood.....

(Chris and Claire both draw their weapons pointing forward)

Claire: looks like someone had a battle here, there's a naginata lying there.

Chris: I'll get the others.

*Chris pushes the button on the communicator and lets everyone know of a body down here*

...............................................................................................................................................................

Back at the Umbrella Security Building

Chris voice on Communicator: Looks like a battle happened recently, there's a dead body down here.

Wesker: Ok Alice I need-

Richard: No i'll go, you need to track our allies' last location, I figure it was the subway they were last at. But they might not be there anymore, since Tokyo's metro system consists of bullet trains, they may be on one already as we speak.

Wesker: Okay then I'll stay here until we get a positive location on an ally.

(Richard then goes out of the building and heads to the subway. He quickly goes down the staircase, and finally into the metro area where the trains run, meeting with Chris and Claire.)
........................................................................................................................................................................

Back in the Metro area

Chris: I wonder if they'll be-

Richard: What happened? (Richard then sees a body covered in blood) Looks like a battle happened recently.
I think one of our allies were here, maybe more.

Claire: But we didn't see anyone when we got down here, just-

Wesker Voice on communicator: I've got a satellite lock on one of them, the Gps is reading Frostwraith and some new ones.

Richard: Where are they?

Wesker voice: They're traveling to Shibuya, at a fast rate.

Chris: we won't be able to catch them on foot.

Richard: We'll have to wait then, (Richard then pushes the communication button.) Wesker We may have to wait here in Tokyo until Frostwraith gets back, I think he may be helping someone possibly one of our allies with a task of theirs, for now We'll come back to the Umbrella Security building and wait for them, maybe even another ally will arrive in Tokyo.

.........................................................................................................................................................................

Wesker: Sounds like a plan, Everyone come to the Umbrella Security building, and wait inside.

*Jill on communicator*: Roger that we'll rendezvous at the Security building.

(Everyone meets up at the Umbrella Security Building in Tokyo and goes inside to wait for Frostwraith or any other ally Richard and Wesker recognizes)

Hmm, looks like peeps are drawing together again. Remember, we do still have those contraptions given to us by, iirc, Magolor. Ahh well. =P

One thing, I really need to ask Mari if what i'm about to do is okay. Read the segment and if it conflicts with whatever you want to do then just let me know and one of us can write a segment that puts everything back to status quo, more or less. To find out exactly what that is, go and read! :D

"Gee, it feels so good to see the sun and blue sky cover the Pokeworld again." The group walked along a dirt road; Luco's pokemon preferred the open world rather than the confines of a pokeball anyway. "But that's the thing, right? It's all back to normal here, it seems. Like over there is the Battle Frontier, and it looks like it's almost back to normal now."

They approached the massive structure. It looked much like a football stadium and the little stands outside that sold ice cream were back. Even the trees had been re-planted. Business seemed very much as usual here. Luco walked up to a stand with delight. "What are you guys selling?" Luco asked politely. The lady turned to him and smiled warmly. "Oh, we sell Sitrus, Aspear and Oran berry ice-creams, as well as a large variety of smoothies. We do crepes as well, and Tamato, Bluk and Belue berry tacos. Anything catch your appetite, young sir?"

Luco felt a strong sensation coming from his stomach. A throb, as if some old memory had been misplaced and was trying to force its way back to his brain. Belue berry tacos... The thought of a friend jumping wildly at the idea of them sent back memories of the valley. Del caught onto his arm. "Ahh, i'll try that last one, if that's okay. Could we get a wild berry smoothie too?" The lady watched with slight concern as Del helped Luco to one of the wooden park benches to wait. The two sat in silence for a moment before the taco and smoothie were served. "Want to try a bite?" Del offered the dish to Luco. Luco stared at it for a moment. I think he'd want me to have this right now. He took it and bit into the incredibly sour berry mixed in with chocolate to add a mix of tastes to the dish. He sat back with a breath of relief as his stomach un-knotted itself. "This tastes amazing! No wonder Xiro was addicted to these things." He grabbed the smoothie and took a swig. "Hey! You should have bought some yourself!" Del joked accusingly. "Yeah, that's true. Oh well, it looks like you're going to have to buy more anyway." The pokemon stood looking over their shoulders at the mouth-watering food on the table. Del chuckled suddenly. "Toooooooo funny. Wish I could take a picture!" He got up to order more. Luco sat back and stopped as he hit Charizard's belly. "I wonder where the others are now?" Luco looked at the mid-day, azure sky. Lucario looked up with him, following his gaze. "Actually, i've been sensing familiar auras from Earth since we made it back. It would take me some time to locate exactly where but it seems everyone has been running around a particularly large city. "New York? London? Sydney? I can think of some very large cities. What else distinguishes it?" Luco asked. "Hmm... it's across the sea from where we were. I think it was on an island, actually."

Luco narrowed down his choices further. "Technically, every city's on an island. But I assume you mean one that isn't very large. The one that comes to mind is Tokyo, but to be honest I don't even know if you're talking main cities, so it could be Kyoto or another large city like that instead. It might be a random city in a place like Fiji."

"Indeed. If I had to place numbers, this city almost hits 10 million people." Lucario looked to the side. "Try not to wonder how aura pokemon can do that kind of counting and arithmetic."

"Grrr, city population numbers. I think from all the info you've given me, it IS Tokyo. I think the numbers there hit around 9 million or so. I guess if I want to find everyone, we'll have to go back. It looks like this problem isn't affecting other universes, so i'd say it's safe to leave here as it is."

Del came back with an armful of food. "Right! I've got ice-cream so we should probably eat that quickly. Crepes can come after." Del set it all down for the pokemon to dig into. "I think we need to go back to earth." Luco said. Del bit into his second taco and replied, "Oh yeah?"

"Lucario was telling me he thinks the others are wandering around what's most likely Tokyo. He says he couldn't identify exactly where they were from our position but that there were definitely familiar auras. I think we should meet up with people maybe, see what's happening?"

"Eh, fair enough. So, will we just search Tokyo or...?"

"I'm sure something will crop up once we get there."

"Alright, we can go after this then."

The rest of the meal was consumed in silence... only because the food was far too tasty to take talking breaks from.

Grey skies and busy streets defined Tokyo as they appeared behind a park tree. Luco's pokemon were kept safely inside their pokeballs in his backpack, but he knew they would prefer it outside when he got the chance. They begun to walk. "So I guess we'll just have to wait until something crazy happens and try and find the others from that." Luco remarked.

They walked lazily amongst a crowd full of busy commuters. They stopped by an arcade, played a few games, kept going. For them, it was really just a matter of time until something happened. Luco picked up a local newspaper off the ground. Nothing special. Though he supposed if something like that had happened there would be an effort to cover it up so as not to spread panic. They continued a walk through the streets.

As they walked further, Luco noticed the amount of people thinning out. Simultaneously, he thought he could recognise someone following them. They weren't close just yet, so Luco and Del took a turn left into an alleyway behind the cover of several people to see if they could get the person to pass them. Luco camouflaged them so that they could not be seen and they waited. A few dozen people walked past before someone dressed strangely showed themselves and peered suspiciously into the alleyway. He was dressed in all white with a strange golden insignia on the back. At first he seemed ready to walk into the alleyway to try and find them but after a small amount of time looking in it appeared he knew he'd lost his targets. He hurriedly exited the opening of the alleyway and walked away. After several minutes, Luco took down the camouflage and he and Del rejoined the crowd. "I wonder who that was?" He asked. "I'm no less clueless than you. Did you see his belt? There was a dagger and a sword at his belt. Who the hell lets people walk around with these randomly?"

Luco thought about it. "Surely there must be more people like this. I bet there have been other incidences or possibly attacks. I guess we should change attire and wait for something like that to happen to someone?"

As it happened, they didn't need to go to the effort.

"Die, sinner!" A voice rang out from somewhere nearby.

"The hell?" Another voice. Luco and Del moved to a scene on the side of the pavement. The people who had originally been watching had obviously broken and run away. This gave Luco a clear view of a different cultist attacking a fellow in clothing even stranger than Luco's and Del's. He had a coat on with a weird emblem that seemed to involve a sword inside an astoundingly intricate Oak tree. His hair was dark and his features resembled something Luco knew. He looked confused as the cultist went after him and for a moment Luco thought he would have to intervene, but as the cultist came upon him, Luco noticed his eyes flashed golden, triggering a fierce memory. The cultist's sword clashed against what sounded almost like brick and immediately broke apart on the stranger's shield. The cultist recoiled and stopped attacking momentarily to consider. He drew his dagger out of fear and threw it at the man, but it too bounced against the shield. "One more time... I'm NOT JOINING YOUR GOD-DAMN CULT!!" He stamped his foot angrily and the cultist was pushed back forcefully into a wall. The impact fractured his skull and left him unconscious and bleeding on the ground. Luco looked over non-chalantly. "A bit violent maybe?" The guy looked at him and considered Luco for the first time. "Maybe, but this is the third time they've tried to do things to me and it's getting on my nerves. Some ambulance will get to him and he can spend his next few weeks if not longer in hospital. I don't care, so long as they get the damn message." He started walking along the pavement. Luco immediately followed. "Do you even know why he's after you?" He asked. "No idea. He doesn't know either." He gestured to someone Luco instantly recognised as the doctor. "Right. Well, who are you anyway? It seems like only magic users are being attacked by these guys. We almost got tailed by one." The fellow stopped walking and looked at Luco suspiciously. "Why do you wanna know?"

Suddenly, it made sense. Luco looked at the guy again and realised exactly who he reminded him of. "Say... I don't suppose you know a person called Mari by any chance?" He realised this could turn out badly if he said the wrong things or even the right things in the wrong way. He ensured his tone was genuinely interested. The stranger was taken aback momentarily, but immediately the suspicion returned to his eyes. "Why do you ask? How do you know her?" Luco wasn't sure how to answer that. "We're looking for her, too. And you seem very similar to her."

He stayed silent.

"Um." Luco paused. "We fought with her, once. We're good friends and we think she's in Tokyo somewhere." That seemed to be re-assuring to him. Still, he asked the classic question, "How can I be sure you guys are trustworthy?"

Luco thought for a moment. "Well, I suppose we're not like the cultist back there, and I would assume seeing as we're not attacking you that we're at least somewhat decent right?"

He rolled his eyes. "Cmon, it's obvious. We travel together until you guys find Mari and then you blast both of us to smithereens for whatever purpose you're serving. That's a possibility you can't deny, right?"

Luco already had the answer. "Of course we can't deny it, but I know Mari and if you know her too then I think we can both conclude that if that were the case you'd definitely be able to put up a hell of a fight. Why would we take the risk travelling with you when we could try to beat you to her and reduce the risk by only fighting you guys one at a time?"

He looked impressed. "I'm not really sure what to think, but I guess you guys can tag along if he is anyway." He gestured again to the doctor, who was standing politely out of the way. Luco smiled. "Well then, I guess we're looking for Mari from here on in. What's your name anyway?"

"Me? Eric. I'm Mari's brother."

Luco was hit with another wave of nostalgia. "Oh, I see. Mari's definitely been looking for you. He determination to find you is one of the things I remember most from our travels. It'll be really good to see her again."

Eric smiled awkwardly. "Heh. Come on, then, let's go look for her." He turned back and walked a little slower for the benefit of the group. Luco had a strange sensation as they began to walk along, like the pieces of the puzzle that included the cultists and everyone would begin to join and make themselves known very soon. He wondered what would happen then. Ahh well, guess we should find everyone first before we start looking at what's really going on around here.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Okay then, so if that doesn't work or I RPed Eric incorrectly or whatever, just let me know. I was wondering who I could bump into but I decided this would make things the most interesting. Anyway!

Hope it works out for ya. =P

Darkness of God

============
In the Church of Truth's hiding place, at an unknown place.

The Messiah: It pains the Messiah to know that one of our brethren was arrested. Clearly, it is a sign that people have strayed too far from our true path. This is why I, the Messiah, shall assign you the task of sending a message to the Japanese authorities. Let us not use violence this time, however. Violence shall only be used to exterminate those who are a stain in this world. Our purpose here is to not kill, but to guide the world to a prosperous future...

------------
Meanwhile, at Tokyo, on the city's radio tower, the Tokyo Skytree...

Cultist 1: My brother, everything is ready.

Cultist 2: Very well, brother, we shall now broadcast the Messiah's message by hijacking all of the TV and radio channels being transmitted here.

Cultist 1: Let us teach the truth to all people of this city.

Meanwhile, somewhere, on the northern area of the city.

Rin: So, we've been going around here for an hour and we haven't found anyone...

Frostwraith: The rift seems close... (picks GPS navigator from his pocket) Ah... I see we're close to Ikebukuro. Perhaps we could check it out.

Frostwraith and the others arrive at the Ikebukuro Station, where strangely was an enormous crowd gathering. Among the people were cultists, as identified by their trademark white robes.

Neku: What is all this commotion?

Frostwraith: I don't know, but that cult is certainly involved.

???: Ah, so you came here to see the "Messiah"...

Frostwraith: Who's there?

IZAYA ORIHARA
Izaya: My name is Izaya Orihara. I'm an informant. I assume you just heard the strange broadcast?

Frostwraith: Strange broadcast?

Izaya: Just now, a certain cult just hijacked the radio tower and sent a message for the people to gather on the Ikebukuro Station. I don't know what they want. The other day, I overheard some strange guys in white clothing stating they intended to hijack the radio tower. I just dropped on in and helped them to find the means to do it.

Frostwraith: And why would you help a cult like that? Don't tell me you're with them?

Izaya: Why? For fun. I also happened to contact the authorities to come to this place... All I will do now is watch the fun from the sidelines... Indeed, humans are funny creatures... Ha ha ha...

Frostwraith: (thinking) His soul is twisted... I have a feeling this guy is up to no good. (to Izaya) Why do I feel you're up to something not good?

Izaya: Good... Bad... I don't really care if what I do is good or evil, as long as I have fun. Well, I must go now... Bye!

Frostwraith: I don't like that guy at all... He likely knows more than he says...

Mari: He asked us if we came here to see the Messiah.

Joshua: That has to be that cult's leader.

Frostwraith: I need to observe what's going on, yet, it's going to be pretty much impossible to pass through that crowd... But I got a plan.

Rin: Plan?

Frostwraith: I only need to watch what's going on there, however, using magic will sure draw all the attention to me, especially the cultists. Of course, there's something I can do to use magic freely without raising some eyebrows... I can stop time.

Rin: Stop time?!

Frostwraith: Indeed... Like this! (snaps fingers and everyone becomes frozen in time except Frostwraith, Mari, Rin, Neku and Joshua) This should last for about 5 minutes. We can move around here freely while time is frozen. Of course, I did put some holograms shaped like our starting positions when I stopped time, so we get teleported there when the spell is over.

Joshua: Impressive powers you got there...

Frostwraith: It's just magic, which I will use it to make us float. (everyone starts floating) And now, we can see what ar--My, my... Will you look at that! The dimensional rift I was looking for... This will be interesting...

Mari: So, the cultists are using these rifts for themselves...

Frostwraith: Exactly, I'm sure the Messiah will pop out from that place. I could deduct this Messiah fellow has some kind of power that he will use here to convince more people to join his cult. An ingenious plan, if I do say so myself... Anyway, now that we've seen all we needed, it's best to return time to normal. (snaps fingers, time starts flowing again, Frostwraith and the others are back to where they were before time stopped)

A few minutes later, Frostwraith feels an enormous surge of power.

Frostwraith: I think it will happen now... (smirks) Let's see how this Messiah fellow looks like...!

Cultist 3: Greetings, people of Japan. We are the Church of Truth. We came in God's name to reveal the truth about the world and guide humanity in a bright, prosperous future. If you have any doubts on our claim, witness the Messiah coming from God's realm.

A huge column of light came from the rift. The crowd was genuinely speechless from the events that were transpiring. The light faded out gradually, revealing a man probably on his 40's.

The Messiah: People of Japan, I am the Messiah.

The Messiah began a long speech on his beliefs and attempting to recruit more people to his cult.

Frostwraith: God this... God that... What a load of nonsense when all he's using is high powered magic to pass of as a messianic figure... What a shameless fraud!

The Messiah: Who wants to follow the right path? Are there people who still doubt God's existence and how the Messiah stands before you? Look at the clouds above. God has told me it will start to rain in a few seconds. (rain starts to pour) If anyone truly wants to follow the path of truth, stand on the light and stay by my side! But if there are still doubts within yourself, do not fear. Truth will always prevail. We are accepting of those who still feel conflicted on joining us. Such a drastic change in life is tough, but do remind that it's always rewarding for you all will bask in God's eternal benevolence.

People start stepping into the rift, now brimming with a golden light, being transported to the Church of Truth's hideout. Other people left the area. The only ones left at the station were the Messiah, some cultists and Frostwraith's group.

Frostwraith: So, you are the one leading this entire charade. I commend your mastery in mag--

The Messiah: SILENCE! You shall not compare God's power with such witchcraft, Frostwraith.

Frostwraith: Oh, so you know who I am... Lemme guess, your knowledge comes from some divine inspiration... Am I right, "Messiah"? (smirks)

The Messiah: The Messiah has no need to hear the pitiful words of a sinner. As God's voice and champion, the Messiah will send you to purgatory and offer God's benevolence as a last chance for redemption!

Frostwraith: Tsk. Reasoning with a lunatic such as you is definitely out of the question. You will learn your place.

The Messiah: The Messiah will not be defeated by his enemies... Brethren, return to the church! It is your duty to guide the people who stepped into God's light. The Messiah will deliver God's judgement on these wretched sinners!

---------
THE MESSIAH
Fairy Tail - Tai Ma Gekisen

Frostwraith: I'm sensing a high power coming from him! Let's go, everyone! (throws a Poké Ball) Chandelure!

Rin: (draws sword, awakening his blue demonic flames) I'll use my power too!

The Messiah: Such devils the Messiah percieves with his eyes! God's enemies shall fall! (prepares a light spell) Divine Light Beam!

Frostwraith: Darkness Beam! (fires pitch-black beam)

Frostwraith's beam is completely dispelled and Frostwraith is hit by the Messiah's beam.

Mari: No!

Frostwraith: (getting up) What on Earth was that?

The Messiah: God's power. You have no chance of victory. You cannot kill the Messiah.

Frostwraith: Heh... The Master was much more powerful than you... If I could defeat him... Beating you will an effortless task. (charges magic) Chains of Darkness!

Thorn-like particles of darkness surround the Messiah, binding him.

Frostwraith: Now! Chandelure! Will-O-Wisp!

Chandelure fires blue flames, striking the Messiah.

Frostwraith: Rin! Mari!

Rin: (jumps) Aaaaa...! (strikes the Messiah with the Kurikara imbued with his demonic blue flames)

Mari: I can do this! (shoots an energy beam at the Messiah)

Frostwraith: Weapon Switch: Blade of Judgement! (transforms his sword into a black metal gauntlet) For being an accomplice in serial murder, I shall sentence you! Guillotine Blade! (an thin, long opening appears on his gauntlet) Fire!

A guillotine blade is fired at the Messiah, injuring him heavily.

The Messiah: Cough... God's will... is supreme... Hear me, O God! Rid this body of the darkness that damages it! (becomes covered in light, the chains of darkness are dispelled and all his wounds are removed without a trace)

Frostwraith: (thinking) All of this... Was for nothing? His power is incredible!

The Messiah: The Messiah hopes you have learned your folly. There's no chance of redemption for you now!

Frostwraith: Ditto. (makes a gesture) Black Hole! (fires a black hole at the Messiah)

The Messiah: Your vile darkness shall not prevail against the Messiah's righteousness! (blocks the black hole with his middle and index fingers) The Lord is my shield and shall make the darkness vanish! (makes black hole explode) Supernova!

A huge blast of multiple colored light strikes everyone with overwhelming power.

Frostwraith: Blargh! (coughs blood) Supernova... The light counterpart to the Black Hole... (smirks) I'm still alive... My magic is still high enough for this... This shall be a gamble. (throws a coin) Heads... I'm going after your head... with all my might! (prepares magic) Dark Art: Demon Form. (transforms) Mwa ha ha ha ha!

Rin: Demon form?! You... you're a demon?!

Frostwraith: Not really. This is just shapeshifting magic I got from injecting the blood of demons I defeated before.

Mari: Frost! You're overusing your power!

Frostwraith: I said this was a gamble... didn't I? Besides, this demon form feels so good to use! Let me teach you a lesson or two, Messiah! (charges at the Messiah, who blocks him with a finger)

The Messiah: Foul demon! You cannot kill the Messiah!

Frostwraith: Oh, shut up! (charges even more power) Hrrrrrrggghhh!

The Messiah: Ugh... Why is... God's power failing me...?

Frostwraith: Dark Demon Form Art: Tear! (strikes through the Messiah, giving him a deep cut on his belly)

The Messiah: (coughs a large amount of blood) Blargh... I... can't move... God's power couldn't prevail... Save me, Lord! (light surrounds himself, his body fading away) Frostwraith... You may have defeated the Messiah this time... Know that you are beyond salvation... God's wrath will soon rain upon you!

Frostwraith: (turns back on his human form) Ugh... Ugh... (smirks) What difference... ugh... does that... make? You're out to kill me anyway...

---------
Rin: Are you okay?

Frostwraith: Yes... I... just need to close this rift...(prepares a spell)

Mari: Aren't you nearly out of magic power?

Frostwraith: Y... yeah... But this needs... to be closed... (launches a spell at the rift, closing it) I... (grabs a bottle with mana and attempts to drink it, but rolls his eyes and faints)

Rin: No!

Mari: Oh, it's okay. He depends on his magic power to stay conscious. See that bottle? He's always drinking them all the time.

Neku: Why not force him to drink that?

Mari: Sure, why not? (opens Frostwraith's mouth and forces Frostwraith to swallow the potion) That should do the trick.

A few minutes later, Frostwraith gains consciousness.

Frostwraith: That Messiah... I underestimated his power, for sure.... Still, how can he manage to have so much power? I knew for sure that all the spells were performed by himself...

Rin: What do you mean?

Frostwraith: He's not getting that power from somewhere else... He actually has obtained the ability to use all those powers, but he seems to genuinely believe that such powers are a divine gift... There's something really fishy about him... Anyway, the portal is closed, so our next step is to find Mari's brother. We must be quick, though, I have an important assignment to meet as well.

Mari: Does it have something to do with the agency you're working with?

Frostwraith: Yep. I cannot tell any details, though. This agency is something very few people in all worlds know about and secrecy has always been one of their strongest points.

Mari: You just got me even more curious.

Frostwraith: You know what they say... Curiosity killed the cat... Let's focus on finding your brother now.

Mari: Yeah.

==========
The Church of Truth hijacks Tokyo's broadcasting services in order to draw attention to the rift's location in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The Messiah appears and after a speech and demonstrating his power, people are convinced to join the Church of Truth, stepping through the dimensional rift straight to the cult's hideout.

The Messiah faces Frostwraith in battle and Frostwraith manages to win, but their powers were evenly matched. After Frostwraith closes the rift, the group focuses on finding Mari's brother.

Things were starting to get out of hand very quickly. If they continued like this any longer, the results would be catastrophic.

"No, don't! You know don't know what you're messing with"!

Xiroey wiped beads of sweat off his brow.

"No, Typhlosion. We can't turn back now. Not when we're so close"!

He reached into his explorer pouch and took out a pecha berry.

"A-are you insane!? Mixing THAT in with"--

"I know" Xiroey's voice grew solum and serious, "but if we don't try, we'll never know. We may never achieve our goal. Not if we simply quit now!"

His hand transformed into a latios claw. He set the berry down on it's side, carefully sizing it up with his eyes. He took a few mental measurements, tracing along the edge to make sure he'd get teh perfect cut.

"Right... Right here should be goo"--

"WHAT THE BLAZES ARE YOU TWO DOING"!?

Charizard's angry roar made them both jump. The pecha berry went flying, hitting him smack on the nose.

"Nooo"! Typhlosion sprang upward, he made a desperate dive for the berry, just managing to catch it before it hit the ground.

"...safe" he sighed.

Charizard looked down at him and shook his head.

"I can't leave the two of you alone for one minute without you getting into mischeif"

This time it was Xiroey's turn to spring out of his seat

"Mischief! Are you mad? What we're trying to accomplish might just be the greatest thing any man, or pokemon has ever achieved"!

Somehow Charizard doubted that, but he decided to humor them.

"And that would be"...?

Typlosion stood up, and carefully put the berry back on the table, next to the other ingredients. Each had been carefully selected, and were orgonized based on size, flavor, and texture.

"Well"?

"...The perfect smoothie" Xiroey barely whispered it, as if he feared if anyone else would find out.

"The...perfect...?"

"Yes, and we're quite close to achieving that goal" A new voice disclosed.

Charizard suddenly looked up, then his expression went sour.

"Gly... Not you too"!

Gliscor's shape gradually appeared out of the shadows. His eyes were alighted with a mischievous glint. If Charizard didnt' know any better, he'd swear they were all plotting world domination.

"Don't you see? The importance of our work! What we're trying to do here might very well change the face of the entire pokemon world"!

Charizard sighed.

"Honestly, these two" He guestured toward Typhlosion and Xiroey "these two can understand. But you"?

The mischevious glint in Gliscor's eye grew brighter "Xiroey and Typhlosion both seeked out my help. Naturally, once I found out what their goals were, I accepted".

"YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET READY FOR OUR GUILD MEETING, WHICH IS IN FIVE MORE MINUTES. OR DID YOU FORGET THAT"?

No response.

"Well did you"-

"I was aware of the time, and you needn't fret Char. We're already accounted for that".

Charizard was really getting tired of this "Quit speaking nonsense".

"Oh? But it isn't nonsese. Observe"

He walked toward the table, upon reachign it, Xiroey and Typhlosion both took a step back.
He placed his claw on the top of it and barked a single command.

"Retract".

The table folded up. The contaner the smothie was in immediatly sealed itself up, then collapsed into a cube. When it was all done retracting, all that remained was a regular looking earth backpack.

"Naturally, we were more than prepared to continue our reasearch, in the fields if need be".

"This way, we can try out all kinds of berries! We plan on searching for as long as it takes, until we can find the perfect ingredients"!

A vein on Charizard's forehead pulsed a little, but he decided to let the matter drop.

"Just make sure you aren't late"

With that ominous warning, he left the room.

"Are you sure this is safe?!"

"If it was, I wouldn't be caught dead doing it, Ed."

Edgar Vargas was holding on to his seatbelt for dear life while Dante was barreling down the highway on a black and red Ferrari that he was pretty sure it didn't belong to the half-demon in the driver's seat.

Chasing them was a large semi truck full of people in white robes. Said people tried to kill them via by burning down the Devil May Cry Building shortly after they took not two steps outside.

Dante swerved harshly to the right to avoid an oncoming fireball, then back to the left to dodge a giant ice block. These guys weren't fooling around, were they...

"How are they flinging fire and ice on us like that?!?" Edgar screamed in a shrill voice.

"You've got a lot to learn about this kind of stuff." Dante simply stated. "To me, this is normal."

"NORMAL?!"

"I gotta admit, since those cultists were talking about God's light and stuff, I thought they wouldn't hurt you. Guess I was wrong, now they want to kill BOTH of us." The white haired half-demon sighed angrily. "I'm debating on whether or not this is going to cost you."

"Y-You..." Edgar stuttered. "You're thinking about money at a time like this?!"

"Gotta pay bills, Ed--OH, SH--"

A huge purple, swirling portal spewing dark haze suddenly opened right in the middle of the road, and Dante quickly realized that even if he hit the breaks, they would still go through.

Oh, well!

"What are you doing?!?" Edgar shouted as Dante hit the gas instead. "What is that thing?!"

"Wherever it leads, it's going to be much better than here!" Unless it leads straight to Hell. Dante thought. In which case, we're going to be really, really screwed. Well, Edgar, anyway.

The semi truck screeched as the driver swerved towards the right to avoid the portal, tipping the truck over and over until it completely veered off the highway in a smoking heap.

Edgar closed his eyes. The car went through the portal.

"What the...?" He heard Dante say.

When he opened them again, it looked like they were on the deck of a ship. He heard the engine turn off. It was then Edgar realized that they had stopped. Dante got out of the car and whistled. "Hey, you might wanna see this."

Hesitantly, Edgar got out as well and saw that there was nothing but sky. Were they...

Were they FLYING?!

"Looks like some kind of airship or something." Dante said. "No turning back now, the portal's gone."

"How...how is this even possible?"

"Get used to it, Ed. You're gonna see a lot of this."

"But...How did we even get...we were on a highway! Being chased by...whoever was trying to kill us! Why were they even trying to kill us!?" Edgar had a frustrated and confused look on his face. "What...how..."

"Shhh. Just go with it." Dante said. "That's how I deal with it. Shoot first, ask questions later, ya know?"

"That doesn't--Wait, who are you?"

Dante looked a little miffed. "Uh, I'm the Son of Sparta?"

"Not you, Dante, him!"

Edgar pointed towards a tall, egg-shaped man with a ridiculously large mustache and small glasses. He was standing atop of a large, yet still incomplete robot. And he looked surprised.

"Wha--who are you two?! How did you get here?!" He demanded.

"Uh, well--" Edgar began to explain.

"EGGPAWNS! INTRUDERS ON DECK! CAPTURE THEM AT ONCE!"

"Heheh...finally." Dante chuckled as he drew his sword, Rebellion. "I've been waiting all day for this! Let's party!"

---------------------------------
Somewhere in Tokyo...
---------------------------------

"So she's been...looking for me?"

Eric, the Doctor, Luco, Del and the rest were busy discussing the recent events that had transpired outside of Earth during the Dark Ones reign of terror. And of course, Eric switched the topic to Mari, which was completely understandable, as he was worried about her.

"Are you kidding me?" Luco laughed a little. "She said the Dark Ones Master was the only thing keeping her from looking for you...I think, if Frostwraith didn't have a long time grudge against him, she would have done the job herself...with our help, of course."

"Who's...Frostwraith?" Eric asked.

"Oh, he's...well, he's sort of our leader in a way. He's the one who killed the Master." He explained. "But, getting back to Mari, she said she would come back to Earth to--"

"Did she say exactly why?" Eric interrupted.

"Um...to look for you." Luco finished.

"No, I mean..." Eric sort of looked away for a second. "Did she say why she wanted to find me?"

"Oh...no, now that I think about it. What about you, Del?" Luco turned to his brother.

"I don't recall her ever saying why." Del gave a questioning look towards Eric. "Perhaps you can tell us?"

A moment passed before Eric spoke again. His expression was strange, as if he really didn't want to tell them at all. "...I...it's...well...I sort of...died. And it was all my fault." He hung his head in shame. "I...I wasn't strong enough."

"You know, I've never heard of someone blaming themselves for their own death." The Doctor spoke up. "But I'm sure it wasn't, really."

"I'm her big brother." Eric sternly said. "She was my responsibly and what did I do? I went ahead and DIED. I left her all alone for most of her life. I haven't seen her since she was a toddler and--"

"Death isn't really something you can stop that easily." Luco said. "And if it makes you feel any better...she's been in good hands."

"...Really?"

"Yeah. Sonic and Magolor were her teachers...or still are, I don't know." Luco thought for a bit. "But I do know that they've been traveling together for a long time know. Ever since I met her, even. They're a really tight-knit group."

"Wait...by Sonic, do you mean Sonic the Hedgehog?" Eric stopped in his tracks. "Sonic from Mobius?"

"Yup. And Magolor is a great sorcerer from Halcandria. He pilots this huge airship called the Lor Starcutter that can travel between dimensions. It's how they get around." Luco held up the badge that Magolor gave him. "This badge can actually teleport us to the Lor if we ever need it."

"Are they with her now?" He asked.

"I would be surprised if they weren't." Del said. "Or maybe they have their own problems...these cultists could be on other worlds besides Earth as well."

"So there's a good chance she's all alone in this city with these's lunatics running around." Eric suddenly turned around and started to run in the other direction. "Not on my watch!"

"Woah, hold on there!" The Doctor, who was fortunately the last person trailing behind, stopped him. "I have a better solution then just running around, although running is good exercise..."

"What is it?"

"We can go back to my TARDIS and run a full bio-scan on the whole city. We can take a sample from you and see if there is anyone in Tokyo who is closely related to you. And if we get a hit..."

"Then that has to be Mari!" Eric finished.

"Oi! I was getting to that part!" The Doctor pouted. "Don't steal my thunder like that."

"Um...sorry." He said. "I've got one question, though...what's the heck is a TARDIS?"

The Doctor smiled. "Oh, you're gonna love her. Come along, boys! This way!"

----------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, in Ikebukuro Station...
----------------------------------------------

"He did what?"

"Chaos issued a command to capture anyone who was part of Master Hand's army and declared war against the people of Earth for not joining his dictator...thing." Mari explained to Frostwraith. "He made us look like we were on the Dark One's side the whole time! And he used me as an example! The jerk..."

Actually, that's not half bad. I'm still going to make him pay, but I'll give him some points for that.

You know, he really hasn't done anything towards you.

I'm in your mind, remember? Your problems are my problems. We're on the same boat here.

...Well, I can't argue with that.

A feeling of victory from Scriabin, and it really started to annoy her. Why did he take such pleasure in one-upping her? Even if he was right...

"So now we've got 3 organizations on our tail." Frostwraith said solemnly. "This does not bode well..."

"Yeah, with all these people trying to kill and capture us, how are we going to find Mari's brother now?" Rin complained.

"Well, we'll just have to tough it out, Rin." Joshua said. "Or are you freighted? Don't worry, it's completely understandable."

"Wha--I'm not afraid! Who the hell do you think you are?!" Rin shouted angrily.

"Rin..." Frostwraith said annoyingly.

"Joshua..." Neku said in the same way.

Well, those losers are hopeless. Scriabin sighed and shook his head. Come on, let's leave them.

I can't just leave them alone without a good reason! Mari thought vigorously.

That Frostwraith said he can't help you much, so why bother? If I were you, I'd ditch these guys and go on to more pressing issues. LIKE YOUR OLDER BROTHER. WHICH YOU NEGLECTED TO TELL ME ABOUT.
His voice got louder and louder with each word, and it resounded and echoed through her mind like a sharp needle.

"Gah..." Mari gripped her head as it began to throb in pain. Neku noticed this and spoke up. "Hey, Mari, you OK?" He said as he walked towards her.

"Y-Yeah..." She said. "I just...have a slight headache."

Neku nodded and didn't say anything more. He knew that if he asked about Scriabin, he would probably do something worse. Neku walked away back to the others.

That's right, back off, you deaf piece of trash. Back off or else. There was a sudden fierce sense of protectiveness and she could also hear Scriabin growling deeply.

Where the heck did THAT come from?! Mari asked, bewildered. She did NOT see that coming, especially from Scri.

You listen to me, Mari. He growled. No one else is going to get near you in any harmful way, so long as I'm here. If anyone tries to hurt you, I'll rip out their still beating hearts and shove it down their throats. I'll be here. I'll always be here.

Uhhh... A slight blush was forming on her cheeks. Mari had to turn around away from the group so they couldn't see. This was a highly irregular behavior for someone like him...but the words he used...were somewhat dark and possessive.

She almost jumped when she heard Scriabin laugh cruelly.

Oh, that's cute. He appeared right in front of her, with an amused expression and tone. Mari jumped back a few steps to put some distance between them. You think I'm doing this out of affection? Heh...no, my dear, I'm doing this out of self-defense.

Self-defense?

Say you die, Mari. What do you think happens to me?
Scriabin said in his mental voice.

...You die too?

So the next time you blindly throw yourself into something, remember that you have a life on your hands...even if I'm not really 'here'. He made air quotes with his fingers to emphasize his point.

Why didn't you tell me this before?!

Why didn't you tell me about your brother?!
He retorted.

I was sort if in the middle of a seizure, for your information. And who's fault was that?

Yours, of course!

"WHAT?!"
Mari yelled out loud, which caught everyone's attention. She couldn't believe what she was hearing! "How is it MY fault?!"

If you weren't such a gullible doormat, we wouldn't even be in situation! And by now you would actually be reunited with...Eric, was it? Instead of hanging out with these idiots. Scriabin scoffed and switched back to his physical voice. "Honestly, get your priorities straight, for God's sake."

"There are bigger problems out there than our own, Sc-HAK!" Mari suddenly felt her throat being constricted, to the point where she could barely breathe. She looked down and saw that her neck was...

...wrapped in red yarn?

"Ah, ah, ah...wouldn't want the others to know that I'm here. It's bad enough that those two know about me. Buuuut, luckily, I have an ace up my sleeve to shut them up. YOU." Scriabin smirked evilly as he yanked on the strings harder, causing Mari to choke and stumble backwards. Neku and Joshua stepped forward to help her, but he barked out a warning. "You two keep quiet and step back...and if you say one word, I'll kill her."

I thought you said--

They don't know that, now, do they?

"What's happening to her?!" Rin asked. To him and Frostwraith, it looked like Mari was being attacked by some invisible force.

"Whatever you are, release her right now!" Frostwraith commanded.

Scriabin chuckled darkly. "He can't even see or hear me and he's calling me out? Lunatic."

Neku grunted in frustration. "Joshua, we've got to help her!" He whispered to his partner.

"No...we can't, Neku. I'm afraid we can't even touch him, as he has no physical body." Joshua put his hand to his chin. "We'll have to tell Frostwraith and the others somehow without Scriabin knowing that we did."

"If he doesn't have a physical body, then how is he doing that to her?!"

"Good question..."

"Hey, what are you two whispering about?" Scriabin yelled. "In case you hadn't noticed, your friend here is looking a little blue!" He gave another hard yank and Mari was lifted into the air, her feet barely touching the ground.

"Gurk!..." You saw...what Frost did to the Messiah...you won't stand a chance against my friends! Mari tried to rip out the red yarn from her neck, but it just slipped though her fingers like water. How was he doing this?

She could already feel herself beginning to pass out. She had to act fast--

Suddenly Mari fell to the ground and instantly the red yarn disappeared. She started coughing and gasping for air. Neku gave her a hand and she took it, slowly getting back up on her feet.

True. At this point, I can't really do much. Scriabin walked dramatically behind Frostwraith, who seemed to be completely oblivious to his presence. But I've been poking around in your head. And I've found some...interesting things.

What...?

Scriabin ignored her and smiled sadistically. I can also make your life a living hell...if you resist me, that is.

"Mari, are you alright?" Frostwraith asked.

"Y-Yeah..." She answered softly. "I'm fine..."

Oh, Mari, Mari, Mari. Scriabin shook his head while still smiling, You are not fine at all. In fact, I think you should go ahead and tell him all about me. Because that's what friends DO, right? Tell each other EVERYTHING. Oh, wait a minute! You can't! Because then he'll think you're insane and I control you now. So don't even try.

"What happened?" Frostwraith said with a concerned look. "Do you know?"

Scriabin suddenly appeared right next to her. What will it be, Mari? To tell or not to tell? He whispered in her ear. The choice is yours and, if I recall correctly, YOU were the one that said you ALWAYS have a choice, didn't you?

"I..."

Mari looked towards Neku and Joshua, and they both nodded. She looked back at Scriabin with a look of pure defiance.

Whatever you have planned, I can handle anything you throw at me.

Bring it.

At first, Scriabin seemed surprised for a moment. Then he bursted out into laughter. "Plan? What plan? I'm just winging it over here...but I was hoping you'd say that. You ARE feisty. I like it."

"Guys, there's something I have to tell you." Mari started.

"Haha, This should be fun." Scriabin suddenly materialized more red yarn out of nowhere, and it was floating around him like some kind of creepy mist.

"There's a--"

"LOOK OUT!" Rin suddenly yelled.

Something big and blue was spinning rapidly towards them at a breakneck pace. Mari pushed Neku and Rin out of the way while Frostwraith and Joshua expertly dodged the large object. It bounced on the pavement once, twice and then another time before it landed straight up not two inches way from where Scriabin was standing. He didn't even flinch.

"...Well, that happened. This couldn't be more perfect." Not only did this stop Mari from telling everyone of his existence, whatever would transpire next would keep them all busy for a while. Absolutely perfect. It was almost too good to be true...

Mari got up and helped Neku to his feet. She casted her gaze over to the thing that almost ran them over...and instantly recognized it. "The TARDIS?" There was no doubt about it. And if that was the TARDIS...

The doors flew open and someone stumbled and fell out.

Mari walked over to the fallen person. "...Luco?!"

"Mmmmph..." Luco mumbled onto the concrete. He slowly got up...and smiled when he saw her. "Mari! There you are!...Hey, where are Sonic and Magolor? Aren't they with you?"

"What the HECK are you doing here--"

"Mari?" Del stepped out of the TARDIS as well. "Oh. Doctor, it seems your plan worked after all."

"Ha! What I tell ya!" Next to come out was a tall man with brown hair, wearing a brown tweed jacket, a bowtie and...huh. Something was very familiar about him... "I would have landed the TARDIS more smoothly if it wasn't for that strange malfunction...Oh, Mari! Long time no see!"

"Uh...who--"

"Now, I know you don't recognize me, but see, Time Lords regenerate and sort of take on a new face when they, ah...expire. Memories still stay the same but it's sort of like looking at an old movie--"

"Time Lord...wait." Mari squinted at him. "...Doctor?"

"Yes! Hello!" The Doctor beamed. "And I see you've got some friends with you too!"

"Ugh, MORE idiots. I knew this would come with a catch." Scriabin pinched the bridge of his nose. "We really need to get going."

I told you I'm not going anywhere. Mari thought.

"We'll see about th--"

"What are you all doing here?" Frostwraith asked.

Scriabin scowled at Frostwraith. He didn't like to be interrupted.

"Well, we noticed that these cultists in white robes have been prowling around Earth and stuff and we'd thought we'd check it out. And you'll never believe who we ran into!" Luco ran back into the TARDIS and sort of stayed in there for a few minutes before coming back out with a frown on his face. "Huh. He doesn't wanna come out."

"Who?" Neku asked.

"Mari's brother, Eric." Del answered.

...What?

"Eric...?" Mari whispered. "My brother...H-he's in there?"

That was...strangely convenient. Scriabin commented.

"Yeah, but he just won't come on out. I think he's sort of nervous, I mean, he just couldn't stop talking for half an hour--" Luco was suddenly interrupted by Joshua.

"Wait, you were only in there for a few minutes...unless..."

The Doctor jumped in and explained. "The TARDIS has it's own separate timeline on the inside. Mere seconds pass out here while days could pass in there. It depends, really, on how she feels. Space-Time machines can have those REALLY bad mood swings." He grimaced. "Believe me, you do NOT want to see her grumpy, my goodness."

"Ah, there we go. That explains it."

No...no, not everything...

"Luco...are you absolutely POSITIVE that the person in the TARDIS..." Mari gazed at her friend with a serious stare. "...is who he says he is?"

"Well, he certainly looks and reminds me of you." Luco sort of shifted under her hard gaze. "And there were cultists coming after him too."

The Church of Truth is after my brother too? Mari thought. This can't be a coincidence.

Actually, this is perfect.

Perfect? How is any of this perfect?

You've been looking for Eric, haven't you? Well, there he is, right through those...police box doors...how'd they all fit in there, anyway?

It's bigger on the inside. That's what the Doctor told me, anyway.

How big?

I don't know, enough for them, I guess. I've never been inside...I think.

Then what are you waiting for?

"I guess he's waiting for you." Luco said. "Don't worry, we'll wait. It won't take long out here anyway."

Mari turned towards the TARDIS, but didn't walk into it right away. She looked back at everyone. "Are...are you sure? You guys can go on ahead if you want..."

Why do you care? You got what you want! Forget these guys, just go inside already!

Scriabin--

"I'm cool with waiting out here." Neku immediately said. He had to find a way to tell everyone about Scriabin...And he just got an idea how. Joshua agreed and nodded, although he seemed to be busy with his phone. Apparently, he got the same idea.

The Doctor opened the door for her. "After you."

Mari walked over and looked inside. It WAS bigger on the inside, but she couldn't see anyone...at least, not in her field of vision. She took a deep breath.

Before she stepped inside, Mari turned her head and smiled. "...Thanks, guys. I...just...Thank You."

She closed the door behind her.

Meanwhile, Joshua smiled knowingly as he typed in the last few letters in his phone. "Done."

Neku nodded and flipped open his own phone. "Send it to me and I'll do the rest."

"What are you two doing?" Luco asked.

"It concerns of the thing that attacked Mari."

"Mari was attacked?" Del said.

"We can't tell you anymore, not vocally, but we CAN send you a meme." Joshua explained. "Think of it this way. We are basically going to use our phones to send a text message to your brains."

"They can do that?"

"Along with this." Neku held up his Player Pin. "Usually, it's only a short word or phrase, but this is an emergency...Mari's life could be in danger."

"If that's the case, then by all means." Frostwraith nodded.

"You might feel a slight...headache."

Joshua and Neku both hit 'Send'. All at once, everyone in both groups received words and images about Scriabin and Mari, even about Scriabin and the Lock System. How Joshua knew THAT, you can thank his...omnipotency.

"Scriabin...Vargas?" Frostwraith shook his head. "How did he gain access to Mari's mind?"

"I'm still working that out." Joshua said as he put his phone away. "Whatever he's planning, he doesn't want anybody else to know about him."

"Which is why he stopped Mari from saying his name in front of us!" Rin finished.

"Well, we don't have to worry about that any longer!" The Doctor leaned coolly against the police box. "I've already locked them in. Let's find a way to take care of Scriabin before something worse happens."

"Um, how are they going to get out if you've locked the door?" Neku asked.

"They won't notice! Mari and Eric will be so busy catching up with each other that Scriabin won't suspect a thing!" The Doctor laughed. "Is that genius or what? And don't worry. They don't have any idea how the TARDIS works. Now, let's think of a plan..."

==========
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Temple of Time (remix)

After his defeat, the Messiah returns to the Church of Truth's headquarters, hidden in an unknown place.

Cultist 1: My lord!

Cultist 2: What has happened to you, my lord?

The Messiah: I failed to defeat him... Even God's power wasn't enough to save Frostwraith... Why must fellow human beings suffer without God's light. (sheds a tear) I need a moment alone. I must speak with the Lord.

The Messiah enters a room, accessed by opening a trapdoor under an altar inside the church-like building. This room was decorated with stained glass windows, in which the light of the day dimly illuminated the room. On the center of this room, there was a table with a whip on it. The Messiah grabbed the whip and took off his clothes, kneeling before one of the stained glass windows depicting God.

The Messiah: My Lord! I have failed you! I shall punish myself for not obeying your will! (whips his back once)

???: (the voice echoed inside the Messiah's mind) Frostwraith... You failed to save him through death... Still, I will not lose my faith on the champion I have chosen.

The Messiah: There is no need to be so merciful, my Lord! I failed to deliver your divine will into this world! (whips his back again)

???: Do not trouble yourself... I am God. The Alpha and the Omega of all that exists... My will is to guide humanity and have all men equally prosper in a peaceful, united world... I am willing to give you more chances. However, if I find you to be failing me consistently... There will be consequences. If you truly desire to live in a peaceful world, then you know there are many sacrifices that need to be made.

The Messiah: Your words of eternal wisdom only inspire me, my Lord! I shall do all to fulfill your wishes! For humanity's sake! (whips himself again, several times over) This... is the punishment... I must suffer for my failure to serve the Lord... All requires sacrifice!

Meanwhile in Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo, Frostwraith and the others waited for Mari to return.

Frostwraith: While we are waiting for Mari, please excuse myself. There are important things I need to do.

Frostwraith steps away from the group.

Frostwraith: (via telepathy) Frostwraith reporting. The rift in Tokyo has been closed.

Luxeld: Very well. Our agents have been investigating the incident on Death City. How are things going with you?

Frostwraith: I met some of my allies from the battle against the Dark Ones. It seems the Church of Truth has been after them as well. Worse still is another mysterious organization after us. One of their members named Ichi stated that they wanted to capture me alive for some unknown reason. And there's Chaos, who's after anyone who defeated the Master, claiming we are actually part of the Dark Ones.

Luxeld: Sounds like you got your hands full. Very well, we're counting on you to provide information to us. The Shadow Agents will be solving individual cases here and there. You can count on us for intel.

Frostwraith: Very well.

Frostwraith returned to the group.

----------
Kid Icarus: Uprising - Boss Fight 1

Meanwhile, in Skyworld...

Pit: Who are these guys? And what are they doing in Skyworld?!

Cultist 1: Your false heaven must be destroyed. In God's name!

Dark Pit: Those guys are tough... for humans. (shoots the cultist)

Cultist 2: The false angels are a stain in the beauty of God's worlds. We shall eliminate them!

Centurion: Captain! We've found a portal where these men are coming from!

Pit: Try to destroy it!

Palutena: Now, I think you can leave that to me. I will show them the power of a goddess!

---------
The King of Fighters '96 - Trash Head (arranged)

At an unknown place...

Goenitz: These Church of Truth fools are causing too much disturbance on the dimensional balance... How undesirable it is for us, wouldn't you agree, Zwei?

Zwei: Yes... We agree, Lord Goenitz.

=========
The Messiah returns to the Church of Truth's hideout and punishes himself for his defeat. Meanwhile, Frostwraith contacts the Shadow Agents, who agreed to provide him with information that would help Frostwraith, while he journeyed with the group. Skyworld is revealed to be under attack by the cultists, while Goenitz expresses clear annoyance at the Church of Truth's actions.

[Back at the Umbrella building]

...We've waited for 16 hours and no one has come by. Then I guess we'll have to find where some of them are "said Richard".

Wesker: They're at the Ikebukuro station which is several miles across Tokyo.

Jill: Can we fly there?

Richard: Yes as a matter of fact we can. We'll have to take the stairs to the roof level.

Wesker: This is the first set, the next set of stairs will be through a door upon which these stairs lead to. After we go through the door and take the next flight of stairs that'll lead to the roof.

(Wesker and the group reach the door and take the final staircase up to the roof of the building. After reaching the rooftop of the building, the group sees a chopper on the roof's helipad)

Richard: Everyone in the chopper, we can't take the militia men with us.

Alice: I'll fly.

Wesker: That's my job, you're not the umbrella pilot.

Alice: I thought we were on the same side, genius.

Richard: Alright, enough of this, i'll fly the d*** thing if you guys want to argue.

Wesker: Fine i'll sit in the passenger seat.

Richard: <whispers> What a bunch of drama queens.

(Richard gets in the helicopter's pilot seat, and starts the helicopter then takes off for Ikebukuro Station)

Chris: How far are we from the station?

Wesker: We're one building from it....

Richard: We're here (Richard lands the helicopter softly on the ground) Let's go find them.

Richard, Wesker and their new allies head into Ikebukuro station, along the way they hear people talking.

Chris: Who's that I hear?

Wesker: Sounds like Luco, we must be closeby.

Richard: Del must be with them, also I hear some new voices.

(The group finally enters Ikebukuro station, and hears familiar voices get louder as they walk closer as well as new ones)

Chaos left with security personnel right behind him whispering commands into their devices. Instead of teleporting, he decided to enjoy the newly built New Hyrule. Trains silently passed above him, electrical lights running along the sidewalk, plants looming from apartments. Chaos stopped and took a deep breath.

“Beautiful day isn’t it Dimentio?” Chaos asked.

Dimentio reappeared from thin air as he silently cursed for Chaos picking up on his tricks.

“Yes, it is a nice one. Like a couple falling in love.” Dimentio noted.

“Any details on Earth?”

“We do, but it’d be better if we relay it to you at the Board Meeting. We also have information of the neighboring city, New Zion. They want independence from the United Galaxies.”

“What?!”

I thought I had everything falling into place. Now this!

“Who leads this puny city?”

“A man by the name of Lelouch vi Britannia aka Zero. Our task force is doing everything to find out who this man truly is. He has never been on the records in the United Galaxies.”

“An unknown?”

“Afraid so, m’lord.”

Dimentio straightened his newly sewn purple and yellow robes. Chaos looked at the guards.

“On orders of I, Supreme Dictator Muhti, I command that the city of New Hyrule to be put into curfew. I want Xiroey and Stormy in a secure area.” Chaos barked.

“YES MY LORD!” the personnel responded and spoke into their headpieces.

Chaos looked at Dimentio, “Let us go now, Dimentio, until this terrorist decides to stroll in.”

Luigi sat on one side. Naoi on the other side.

Naoi kept looking at his pistols while Luigi played with a fireball he created out of air.

Finally Naoi spoke up, “Was the death-“

“No, it-a wasn’t”

The awkward silence rung in the air again, except the flare crackling and heating the room.

“That-a boy, Xiroey, wasn’t he-a part of Smashfans Army?” Luigi said to end the second round of silence.

“He is, or at least was according to Muhti. But I don’t think we should delve into that.” Naoi acknowledged.

Naoi finally put his guns on the desk and rose. He then walked towards to the holograph of Smashboards and her capital city, New Hyrule.

“Pretty isn’t it?”

Naoi jumped from where he was standing and realized Chaos was behind him.

“You seriously need to stop doing that, Muhti.”

“Doing what?”

“Scaring me like that.”

“I assumed you have gotten used to that.” Chaos scoffed, “What’s the deal?”

Luigi launched up a new holographic projection of Earth.

“We have received intel that the former members of Master Hands Army is located here.”, Luigi then pointed to the city of Tokyo.

“Huh. Tokyo eh? I heard the Japanese were unresponsive last I spoke to him.” Chaos stated, “Unless he lied to gather up the members… Who is there specifically?”

“Well, we have some of the main members including Mari, Frostwraith, & Luco.” Luigi answered.

“And where is Richard?”

“Over the Pacific.”

“Damnit, they’re all meeting up to go against my forces.” Chaos shook his head.

“I could weed them out.” Dimentio said with a pleasant smirk on his face.

“Well, there is also another group going after them, so they are not focused on us.” Luigi contradicted.

“Alright then, we won’t pay attention to them until they defeat this group. This gives us time to retake our land.”

“Muhti, before we move onto New Zion, I thought you would like to see this.” Naoi finally spoke as he went on to put up the security feed.

"I guess he's waiting for you." Luco said. "Don't worry, we'll wait. It won't take long out here anyway."

Mari turned towards the TARDIS, but didn't walk into it right away. She looked back at everyone. "Are...are you sure? You guys can go on ahead if you want..."

“Stop right there.” Chaos ordered.

Naoi stopped the footage as Chaos walked up to the projection.

“Is that?”

“Yes sir, that is the TARDIS.”

“But how?”

“We’re still trying to figure that one out m’lord.” Naoi responded, “our security agencies are relaying the footage to see anything suspicious with it. Anyhow, we shouldn’t worry; we have another issue on our hands.”

Chaos sat back down at the head of the table while the projection of Smashboards appeared once more.

“Who’s the idiot this time that wants to conquer everything?”

“His name is Lelouch vi Britannia, Dimentio has probably already told you that he has no records from any of the galaxies. He claims he wants to overthrow the anarchic government, but it seems as if he wants to instill his own.”

“Hypocrite.” Chaos muttered underneath his breath.

All of a sudden the holograph of Smashboards disintegrated and was replaced by a masked man.

“Hello Mr.Muhti, I have forces along the New Zion borders, if you do not give up New Hyrule to me, I will promise that you and your government will falter in a matter of seconds.” Lelouch claimed.

“Such big words for somebody like you. You do realize I have forces located around the universe? You are a mere city!” Chaos bursted out laughing.

Lelouch kept a straight face on, “Do not underestimate me Mr.Muhti, I was able to take over the whole Earth with my planning.”

“But this isn’t Earth, this is Smashboards. Do not underestimate us.”

“You have until 4 pm.”

Before Chaos could make a snappy reply, the holograph went away.

“Muhti?” Dimentio questioned with a worried expression.

“Send out the forces, I shall deal with this idiot myself.”
