For players who might want consistant tourneys in CT during the upcoming year

Hello, I attend Uconn and have noticed that the school itself has a large population that smashes, yet no organized venue for it. During the past year there were two tourneys held there, one of about 80 in which PC took second and Cort took first (don't quote me on that though), and another smaller tourney for Melee earlier in the year.

If people are interested I am contemplating creating either a Uconn smash club, try and coordinate biweeklies, or both. This is just a topic to see who would be interested in this/might participate if it was organized. I know of 20-30 people from my dorm last year alone who played daily and I feel that if organized it might be a decent consistant venue for CT. Just interests for now please, but if we get some solid response I'll look into setting it up (if anyone would wanna help with that feel free) and then repost a topic for suggestions/ideas/questions/etc.

I'm hosting a tournament in Coventry, CT. Thats about 25ish minutes eash of hartford. Its also about 5 minutes from the UCONN campus.

You should definitly start with the biweeklies, then once established make the club, thats what a friend and I are doing at our school once we go back.

Yeah I'll check around and see about setting something up there. I know milktea (lillian) and a couple other people go to uconn so there should be some interest. I'll check in on setting up something and then post some options for people i.e. melee & brawl, free entry or money tourneys, singles and teams, etc. and try and get a feel for what people want. But first thing first I need to set it up with uconn.
