FluxWolf's Combo video. (Highlights of 2/16/07)

Hey everyone, I haven't really been a big part of the Video Discussion topics lately but I just recently put together a 'combo video' of some of the matches me and my friend did on 2/16/07. I would appreciate it if you would take a look at it, critique it, rate it, or give me your thoughts about it. The video features me playing as my 3 best characters, Marth, Fox and Falco.

First post for the win.

Your opponent isn't exactly the best you can face; no decent Falco will use up+B when they're coming down; they'd usually fastfall DAir. Your Marth is decent, but you have a bad habit of using FSmash every time you get a shffl'd FAir off. Also, you should learn how to FAir twice in the same short-hop (shdf) or even FAir -> UAir in the same short-hop.

Ok I watched your first vid, here are some things you should work on........

Marth- Seriousily work on spacing, you Frontsmash alittle to much and hit with the middle of the blade.

Fox- Work on wavedashing, also try to SHDL(short-hop-double-lazer)

Falco- Try to work on shine combos, I only saw you do a few(I can give you some advice on the shine combos if you want just ask)

Other then that you pretty good, just continue to work on your techs.

Hey Flux, Pretty good video. Sadly I don't play Marth or Fox, so I can't give you any tips. As for your Falco, it seems kinda slow but still technically sound. Just speed up a bit. I'm new to Falco so I can't offer much more advice there.

Thanks a lot for the honest advice i appretiate it. I like to hear what you guys have to say as far as what I need to work on, sometimes it is hard to see it for myself.

Nice criticism Truegamer#1, next time tell him what else he could improve on first then just saying make a better video with combos in it.

Anyways Flux I told you on AIM but I should break it down more since I saw your vid for the 2nd time.

First thing though, give me all of the SOAD tracks you have.

But like I said to you earlier, work on your speed, timing and precision with your characters. Especially Marth since that's your best character that I've seen so far, work on your spacing and timing with him, there were many times when you could have a tipper but you missed them, or you were too close to the opponent. Ease up on the Fsmashes too you're too smash happy with that.

Your Fox is slightly above average because of the choppy waveshine, I notice that you could wavedash with ease but I think you have trouble jump cancelling the shine into a wavedash with him, like you're trying to shorthop out of the shine but you're doing a full jump instead without trying and I think that's why you're waveshine looks so choppy and the angle you're airdodging too.

Your Falco needs to get a lot faster, you hesitate after every move or smash attack for like 2 seconds then you go after your opponent. That's what I saw, and use other moves to kill your opponent other than dair, you dont always have to spike them, especially when they are so close to you that could do a dsmash or fsmash in their face and that would be a kill right there, also work on the shine combo and pillaring their shields as well.

I'm glad you learned how to edge tech though, that's really good. But just keep practicing a lot and your crew as well. You guys have a lot of things to improve on.

Yeah man thanks a lot, I actually learned teching the edge because of your help, so thanks. Also thanks for the help on what I need to work on, I seem to get a lot better after a while on working off other players advice.

I can send you some SoaD songs also whenever you want, I have the whole track's from both hypnotize and mesmerise on my computer.

Fox- Work on wavedashing, also try to SHDL(short-hop-double-lazer).

SHDL is useless, it's just flashy. Good video btw.

what makes me wonder is why make such a looong video when half of it doesnt flatter you that much. you would get a video of much better overall quality by cutting the worse clips and making a short video (which is more watchable anyway).
other than that, id say you should work on your tech. wavedash timing, less shield pops etc

shffls are supposed to make the game go faster but thats not evident here...
not a bad job...
but just a bit on the slow side...
work on linking the combos together, i find a good basic one Shffl Bair, shffl Nair, shffl dair. it looks pretty tight, you can always slap straight into a shine from the dair if need be as well..
keep up the good work.

im sorry but...i hated the video its just that....yer good but yer opponent sucks so i cant really tell if u'd be as good as the video shows.
