I think that if your controller port is a lower number, than you win with a suiciding flame choke. I'm not sure what happens when You have a higher controller port

I'm always port one, and as far as I can remember, I always end up in a sudden death match. Which is hilarious on small stages in which they spawn within jab range.

I heard that there is no definite answer to the outcomes. I have had it where my opponent wins, and I have had it where it goes to sudden death. I have never had it give me the victory.

IIRC, if your port is lower than your opponents, then you force a sudden death. If not, then you lose. Pretty messed up if you ask me considering(correct me if I'm wrong) Bowser gets a win instead >_<

If both players have 1 stock, and Ganondorf Ganoncides the opponent, the controller port decides whether you get Sudden Death or you lose. 1 > 2 > 3 > 4, so having controller port 1 means you'll get sudden death.

Yeah, you'll never win unless you have more stocks than your opponent.

Actually, it also depends on the height one is from the bottom blastzone.

Normally, within a certain velocity, the port would take priority as described above.

However, unlike Bowsercide, which falls at a constant velocity, Ganoncide actually accelerates on the way down. If it reaches a specific velocity as it his the blastzone, Ganondorf is guaranteed to die first regardless of port.

However, this issue almost never comes up because you gotta Ganoncide really, really high for this to take effect.
