Toss out you bait..... sit....... sit and then BOOM! out of nowhere and presto, you just lost another freakin shrimp!!!!!!! I have lost 6 shrimp and 3 hours to these smart ocean fish!!! I'm about to go buy a freagin net! Man Ohio fishin is sooooo much nicer. Every fish down there is dumb. But noooo, round here the old men have taught the fish how not to get caught and then they reel em in by the dozens!!!!!!

I hate love fishing!!!!!

How large are the shrimp? Sometimes smaller bait is more effective because they can't sort of nip at it and pull it off the hook.

Also I assume you're a big meanie and are using a barbed hook. :3

They are about 5 inches, but I am cutting them in half. Yes, I am using a barbed hook.<,<

Also, I caught a 22 inch catfish about an hour ago. So I at least have dinner now. lol

Hmm that's odd, maybe their mouths are just tough enough that they don't get pierced that easily. >.<

But still 2.5 inches is pretty big, try using small chunks of stuff. Man maggots and worms are epic because if you put them on the hook end to end, they basically wrap it perfectly and somewhat guarantee the fish being trapped.

I dunno though I haven't gone fishing since I was 14 ;__;

Dude I am salt water fishing.... you don't use worms. lol

Dude salt water catfish tastes soooo much better than fresh water catfish. He hit the skillet about half an hour ago. lol, while I was feleting him all of the local birds decided to say hi. I had like 12 pelicans starring me down. lol
ps Ever noticed how pelicans look like stoners?

I remember once when I caught a catfish using sweetcorn as bait. :x

I could never go fishing with my dad because he would always want to save the shrimp to eat them later.

Do you have access to crawfish meat? I have found that using crawfish works a LOT better than shrimp.

Crayfish aren't shrimp and the only fresh water shrimp that I know of live in very large lakes or inland seas......

Only two fish have been spared. The rest were chopped up into bait or fileted. I have eaten good and really cheap the past couple of days. Now if only I could catch more flounder...... <,<
