Firefox sweetspotting from below

So I was at Apex (amazing tournament experience, too bad if you weren't there :lick:) and was told by a couple of people while playing friendlies ... "nice angle" when I sweetspotted the ledge on FD from below

Is this like, not normal? I can with some consistency sweetspot past Marth counters (triggering it and not getting hit / not triggering it at all) and random jank that hits downwards and stuff

I haven't even like ... practiced this really, it just kinda came naturally as I played and needed ways to recover without getting ***** by easy onstage edgeguards

Maybe I need to watch more vids or something

My roommate tells me they're known as M2K angles haha

M2k angles are correct, thats what they are called, it was only thought that u could go in 8 angles with firefox, then M2K was like LOL your wrong smash community, and found that you can move in I THINK 12.

What the people at Apex ment is like, you could have gone over the edge, but since u used a "M2K angle" you sweetspotted ;]

I'm just wondering if it's something that most people can't do because it's something that I think every competent Fox should learn because it makes Firefox from below so much trickier to edgeguard

*Edit*
I think I played you at Apex haha

It's not that hard to do. It's like any basic techskill and you just need to practice it to get a feel for which angle is good. It's like sweetspotting the ledge from above at a diagonal angle. Kinda.

Yeah, I figured it was elementary too. :/ I think I need to re-polish mine though. It has gotten somewhat rusty.

Another good thing to learn is how to recover from below Battlefield.

Lovage has a video on it.

I'm still working on this.
