Here you can discuss which FE games are your favorite, favorite chars, weapons, etc. My favorite FE game is probably FE4: Genealogy of the war (wasn't released outside of japan). i love fe4 because of holsety I just love how it's broken in some aspects, yet at the same time, you CANNOT send only ONE unit to clear the entire map (atleast, in the later chapters you can't). Decent difficulty, and you have to carefully plan your moves later into the game. Guarantee you'll be loading a save state while on an emulator because one of your units died. Favorite character from any FE is probably either Ike, or Volke (the FIREMAN >hinthint).

Surprised I haven't seen a topic like this.

Eh, my favorite character is any general. Once I get generals I start exploiting their girth, sending them along to fight enemies while knights fight the main force or combine them with archers at narrow points

FE4 was my first FE that I've played and beaten. I liked it a lot. The difficulty was good (not too hard but not easy either) as it went on. I kinda got hurt in the second half because too many characters liking the same person though. :ohwell:

When I have time, I'll probably try and finish FE5 first and then start finishing the others.

Generals are probably my least favorite type of unit. The poor movement is just annoying.

EDIT: I finished FE5....the japanese version, with no patch, rofl. So I have no clue about the story.
Yeah, the pairings in FE4 can throw a lot of people off, it threw me off on my recent playthrough actually, as I didn't pair Levin with anyone for SOME ODD REASON, and missed out on using Holsety for the 2nd half.

I've had generals that just stood there and killed everything in sight that attacked them, one by one.

I've only played some of the US released games, but I really liked the Sacred Stones for the GBA. Great game....

OMG!! I LOVE Fire Emblem! ^_^

So far I've only played Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the GNC, I love the story, it was full of suspense and this game was the first of it's kind that I've ever played. I'd say my favorite character I liked on there that were consistently on my team were Tatania, Oscar, Boyd, Shinon, Gatrie, Mordecai and Lethe, oh especially Stephan, I love the laguz tribes, I tried to defeat the Black Knight in Chapter ** but I ended up getting the pink dragon instead of Nasir.

Oh and Tibarn was such a cool character, I loved how powerful and godly he was, Reyson was very helpful as well, there are very few games which I really genuinely enjoy and Path of Radiance was one of them.

I can't wait to play FE: Radiant Dawn next month, I just bought it, I heard it's just as good and even longer? Hmm...

Lol killing the Black Knight is all based on luck. You have to have patience and restart everytime Ike doesn't get Aether activation (or if BK activates Luna). Nasir was a pretty good unit so imo, it was worth getting him.
Radiant Dawn is great in terms of gameplay and story. The character supports and development, could've been better but no complaints there. The game is definitely worth playing though. Tibarn is great, but usually at the last chapter I chose Giffca instead of him, because of Giffca's massive STR.

There is a Fire Emblem thread, though it's about a year old now.

Still probably better than making a new thread imo.

But to stay on topic, my favorite Fire Emblem has always been FE6. That game put me through hell when I first played it, the only thing I didn't like was that the final boss was too easy.
