Ohhhh that was a heartbreaker at the end there. I secondary Kirby (main in teams) and I've done that so many times, it feels awesome when ya aren't at the receiving end of it haha.

Anyways, I watched all 5 videos. That G&W did not seem like he knew the match up very well. There were plenty of times he could have edgeguarded/gimped you and he didn't capitalize, so I would only expect you would run circles around him like you did. I liked the upB kill on the 2nd stock at RC, I didn't see that coming.

The glaring thing I saw (and I've seen this on almost every oli video and I can't figure out why everyone continues to do it) is you wasted your backthrow simply because you were near the edge. On the lylat match you did this over and over (with white pikmin nonetheless) and it amounted to nothing. Save your backthrow so it will be fresh when the blues come around, and downthrow leads to more anyways.

Also, it might have been just an isolated error, but I think it was on that same lylat match you kept attacking with the white pikmin, it happened about 4 times in succession I think. While mistakes are bound to happen, knowing your line should be second nature.

You ALMOST had the pikmincide on RC!!! Nice try tho. I didn't know olimar could grab people on that part of RC just after the pendulum. I'm strongly considering letting people CP this on me on sunday haha.

Anyways, not bad overall, good job on gettin all the way to losers finals :)

Thanks ^_^ I think at that point, I got out of focus... smashing and bthrowing with whites was a bad choice XD, but I was more concerned with racking up damage me thinks. lulz Thanks for the comments.

I only have time to watch 2 of the matches, but I have a couple of comments. At low % onyour opponents, you had nice variety in your approaches and in most cases performed fairly well (btw, that gaw had no clue what he was doing against olimar, but read the SH key with a pivot grab). However, once your opponents got in killing range you seem to have a one track mind, throw or usmash. If you watch your first video for example, once he was over 90% you did not go for one fair, fsmash or anything for the longest time and then eventually you did one. FOr doing that, he read you like a book and you ate a slow gaw usmash. Try and play normal at high percents with some variety like falling nair to usmash etcetc

also, you never attack at all during your grabs, even when they are at liek 120, hit em like twice if they are button mashing then throw, if they arent good at getting out of throws (which you should be able to tell from early on), capitalize on it.

Yeah, I had someone tell me that yesturday, and I didn't notice that I NEVER... EVER hit someone when I'm grabbing them... and I think to myself? Why not... free damage? lulz. Also you're right, I should wait until a higher percent to start killing, though I'm used to G&W dieing at a lower % for a vertical KO, that was our first match, little did I know how well skizm could DI XD

Heh, we both beat Skizm on his counterpick. When I played him he chose Orpheon; he ended up getting boned by the stage twice, which was funny for me. He definitely left that tournament hating Olimar :).

By the way, shield the entire turtle, then grab him! You let your shield down early a lot.

Sweet matches. ^ I'm not sure that he was letting his shield down, it looked like he was getting shield poked, but I might be wrong. Either way, I know holding up while shielding helps to not get shield poked against a lot of moves (tornado for example), so that might help (I'm not sure if it helps against turtle, so confirmation please).

don't listen to rich, bthrow when you want, it should kill anyway with a blue as long as your tossing pikmin
plus i think pummels replenish attacks... i think

Pummels do replenish. I'm not sure how exactly pikmin toss works, which I've never really thought about. Is it whenever one grabs the opponent or each hit they do?

probably only when they latch. i don't think the hits from them replenish, otherwise it'd be broke as fuuuck
