Hi everyone.

Yesterday I was playing basketball, and I jammed my pinky finger.

After I was done playing, I put some ice on it and didn't think much of it. Today, though, I noticed my pinky was swollen, slightly purple (like I bruised it), and I can't bend it all the way like I use to.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with this. Did I sprain/break it? Like I said, I jammed it, and it feels stiff. What do you think I should do?

Sounds like a minor sprain. Probably not worth going to an actual doctor for, but you should definitely ask whatever medical faculty is at your school to take a look at it. I say probably because it might possibly be something more severe.... my sister had something similar happen and it wasn't until several months after she shrugged it off, that she started feeling extreme pain. Turned out she broke several bones in her hand and she was using it too much to heal correctly. Just food for thought :bee:
