If I cannot get my hands on an NTSC Wii and the game, I would have to wait for the European release date... Please let it be March or early April...

I don't care about being the first to get stuff done, so I'll get it after my gym session that Sunday. Sure I won't be able to think about anything else, but that just makes getting it all the sweeter.

dumb question- feb 10th is a sunday. in the US, that means there is no shipping that day. so is the game going to be released on the 10th but be shipped on the 11th and arrive on the 12th?

For high profile games like SSBB, they usually ship before the date and force stores not to sell until a certain date.

confirmed. Sending supplies.
My GameStop is in a mall, so I don't think there will be a midnight launch (if there is, at least I won't freeze my *** off). I just plan on going in when the store opens, walk in with my pre-order, get the game, go home, dash to the Wii and start playing.

-Buy a lot of Bawls and Red Bull beforehand to make sure I'm wired on Caffeine and I don't fall asleep.
-Midnight release.
-Unlock as many characters as possible before morning.
-Invite people over for a smallish release day party.

All of my friends'll carpool at 8 o'clock, and then drive down to the plaza where the GameStop is.

We'll go to the supermarket across the street, buy food, and eat it until it's 10.

Then we will burst into the store, slam down our money, and demand Brawl...actually, I'm probably the only one who will do that...but still...

and then we will go to someone's house, play it for like 3 hours to test out characters, and then when that's all done I'll go home and play Subspace.

And that will be the greatest day of my life.

Well I reserved a copy at the local Gamestop. It's in the mall though, so I don't know if there will be a midnight release. There was a midnight release for the last Harry Potter book though, but I doubt there will be one for SSBB.

Kind of off-topic but had any of you reserved Super Mario Galaxy? I had an awesome message on my answering machine. It was the voice of mario telling me that Galaxy had arrived!

i might try to go to my cousins house as they plan to go to a midnight release and bring a tv and a gc with melee so they can get some smashing in before they get brawl. hopefully we can have a tournament and stuff. then we are going to go to his house and play until morning and to sundown. i will bring my wii so we will have 2 wiis playing brawl online. gunna be own.

if not i will buy it at target where i work as soon as possible maybe if i can talk to the people in the electronics dep and back room, i might get it early.

Ooh, what will I do? Probably go to the midnight release at my stor--....maybe not. Don't wanna get killed. :ohwell:

I'll wait for my friend to come home with our copies, since he'll probably be working that midnight. (he works at the gamestop I reserved my copy in)

Then I guess I'll go home and play? Huzzah?

I seriously think that some of you are just a tad too anxious to play this game.
Why do you care? Sadly, this game is probably the only one I'll be getting for the rest of the year. Maybe besides Mario Kart Wii. Wii gets too many casual games. :ohwell:

Gee, I can imagine it now.

Well, if my Gamestop has a midnight launch:

Go at 10 or so, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, get the game, go back home, play 1v1's with my brother for like an hour and a half, go to bed, wake up, play a bit more, go to my cousin's house, play some brawl with him and his friends, maybe some SSE with him too, go back to my house, brawl for a bit more, and watch the grammys :chuckle:

Wander around the house in a daze, letting the fuzzy feeling set in. That feeling you get when you wake up on christmas day when you're 7 years old, except this is a hundred times more delightful. While i'm feeling this i'll play some DS games on and off the clock to pass the time while snacking on random things.

We'll get the game, then smash till we drop down onto the floor from exhaustion. Which won't happen because we'll turn off the gravity. Brawl forever.

my plan? first, im going to go to my friends house and play melee until we go to nintendo world in NYC for the midnight launch. When we get there (if the launch is anything like the SMG launch) im going to play brawl in the store until it closes and then go outside to the kiosks and play it on those. Then im going to do te misillanious events they might have (they had the bungie run and stuff like that at the SMG launch). Then im going to wait near my friends in line, since im buying the game at gamestop, jus goin to nintendo world for fun. after someone gets it, were going to his house and were gonna play vs. mode until we fall asleep, (if we sleep) then after that im going to gamestop where im gonna get my copy. im gonna read EVERY WORD of the manual and then im gonna get my wii-mote and nunchuck, insert the disk, and watch the (possibly) amazing intro vid. after that, im gonna probably play SSE with my brother ALL day! if we beat it in one sitting, ill move on to classic mode with Link (my main) then gonna do whatever else is in the game over the rest of the day.

ps-enjoy my wallotext

I know there is no midnight release so I will probably be up really late reading on what people are posting on the game. Try to sleep but know that I probably won't be able to. When the time comes to leave I will be super groggy but then get excited once I go in and wait in line to get my copy. Rush home and play for the whole day (possibly skipping meals).

Smashfest, not a real one just me and my friends playing Melee till we leave to play Brawl. When I get home I will watch the intro then make a profile for myself so I can set up the controls (using Nunchuck D-pad here). Then play some VS all night. When I get to play alone i'll start Subspace.

well, depending on whether or not the gamestop i pre-ordered at is having a midnight release, i would like to eat at chili's as well.

If there is no midnight release im sure i will be one of the first few to the store when it opens. i will skip all my classes that day and try to unlock everything as quickly as possible. characters first, then stages.

If there is a midnight release, it's Chili's appetizer sampler with some fellow smash friends, perhaps a couple cocktails, then going and getting in line for the release. Sure to be an all-nighter followed by an all day smash fest to unlock as much as possible in the first 48 hours.

If i can afford it, i would also like to celebrate the occasion with sushi from my favorite sushi restaurant. but it's expensive so we'll see.

February 9th is my birthday but I'll probably sleep most of the day anyway. That way I'll be able to stay up all night and have my wits about me. I'll head out around 4am and check my local Best Buy and probably wait outside in my car with my friends.

I didn't want to pre order at game stop because theres no guarantee of getting the game on launch day.

If there's a midnight release, then i'll probably do that.

If not, then i'll get up early( 8-10ish) and pick it up then.

I would have a plan but... my mom is a punk. She doesn't allow games to be played in her house until the weekend. This means I, techinially, would be getting brawl a whole 5 days later T_T

Thanks Mom.

Grab my core group of 3 friends
Head to Gamestop
Wait for about 6 hours
Gamestop is in a shopping center with a bunch of other stuff, so we will always have stuff to do

I don't think my Gamestop is having a midnight launch, but I have it preordered.

I plan on getting up about 30 minutes before Gamestop opens (it's a bit of a drive away) I'll get dressed, then get my mom to drive me to the mall (gamestop is in the mall) then I'll RUN THROUGH THE MALL, PLOWING THROUGH ANYONE AND ANYTHING IN MY WAY then I'll buy Brawl, but not the guide (no spoilers for me, please!) Before we start the car, I'll get the keys to the front door from my mom, Then, on the way home, I'll read through the ENTIRE manual (even the boring HOW TO PLAY crap)

Then I'll jump out of the car, run across the yard (maybe even through the bushes, rather than around) I'll unlock the door, toss the keys down on the computer desk (right next to the door) then RUN AS FAST AS I CAN down the hall, into my room, where I'll insert Brawl and turn the TV on (I'll already have it set to channel 3, waiting) I'll then jump onto my bed, and grab my already plugged in Gamecube controller

I'll then go straight to classic mode, try out Sonic (if he's not a starter, then I'll use Meta Knight, if HE'S not a starter, Link) Then I'll play through on easy (to get a feel for the game, and probably unlock Jigglypuff) Then I'll head on over to the Subspace Emissary! (Might stop by V.S mode first, to try out all the characters)
