VII. Rule Set
Be on time for your matches and do not vandalize the venue (i.e., jumping off of furniture or any part of the venue). Disqualifications will be enforced if you fail to show within a reasonable time frame. No refunds when bracket has already been made. Any activity determined as hazardous to the well being of anyone else will be reason enough to be expelled from the tournament. Expulsion from the venue is no cause for refund.

Set format (in order of procedure)
1. Opponents choose their characters for the first match
2. Opponents start the stage striking procedure. Alternating strikes 1-2-1.
3. The first game is played, using the stage chosen during step
4. The winners of the first match bans 1 stage.
5. The loser of the previous match announces the next match's stage from either the Starter Stage List or the Counter Stage List
6. The winner of the previous match chooses their character
7. The loser of the previous match chooses their character
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for all proceeding matches

**** Additional rules
Unless both players agree to dismiss it, pausing in the middle of a game will result in a stock loss at a staff members discretion.
Double blind character selection may be called for the first match.
If the timer runs out, (and the ledge limit isn't exceeded), the victor is determined by stock then percentage. If percentage is the same then a one (1) stock tie breaker match will be played using the same characters and same stage.
Any infinite must end quickly after 300% has been reached to prevent excessive stalling.
Controller port disputes will be settled by Game and watch hammer test.
No player may choose a stage they have won on last but may revisit that stage after winning on a different one.
Bowsercides/Ganonsides/kirbycide/dddcide will be in favor of Ganon/Bowser/kirby/ddd if it ends with it.
Any attempt to distract the player such as screaming/touching/hitting/movements while the match is being played will result in a stock loss at the staffs discretion.
