time to get this show on the road.

I've noticed that the Project M scene in NE has been growing to be very promising, but we don't have a home quite yet. At Hall of Gaming, a known venue for Brawl and Melee, I hope we can solidify a solid venue for PM and possibly turn this into a more frequent event.

Event will be streamed here
PLEASE BRING SETUPS!

RULESET

PROJECT M

* 4 stock, 8:00 minute timer
* All items set to OFF and item frequency set to NONE
* Input Assist set to OFF.
* Pause may be requested to be set to OFF.
* If Pause is ON and a pause occurs during the match, unless the pause is okayed by the opposing player, it will result in a one stock loss for the player who initiated the pause.
* Dave's Stupid Rule: You cannot counterpick any stage you have won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
* Giga Bowser is banned.
* If time runs out, the person with the most stock left (or least % if they are equal) wins. If the % is equal as well, play a 1 stock 3 minute match, same characters and stage.
* If the match goes to sudden death due to a suicide move (Ganon’s side-B, Kirby/DDD’s swallow, holding someone in a grab on a platform as it moves out of the boundaries, etc.), the one who initiated the move wins.

Pre-match Procedure:
1. Characters are selected (Double Blind may be elected)
2. Stage strike starter list (RPC, coin flip, etc. for first strike)
3. Winner announces three (3) stage bans
4. Loser chooses counterpick stage
5. Winner chooses their character
6. Loser chooses their character

Stage Strike from Starters for the first match of the set in "122112" fashion:

So... my hometown is having biweeklies, which could indirectly start a scene for Project M around what I considered to be a pretty smashless town?
I'm game, let's go.

Hopefully I'm not working that day. Only played PM a couple times but it was pretty fun and I'd def drive the 20 or so minutes to get some good games in.

I had my heart set on melee this weekend. =/ Cam and I were gonna win teams. =)

I guess I'll still go to this. It's better than nothing.

I wanna come. Maybe I'll have time earlier in the day to at least meet some people and play casuals even if I can't enter a tournament

Hey, I'm glad I went today, had a great time. Can I get a link to the bracket though? I'd love to see the results since I left before the end

Shoutouts to all who came, twas a lot of fun. Grats to Phish and Swift for taking 1st and 2nd respectively. Hope to see you all in two weeks, and some new faces as well.

Some peeps asked for the music on the stream setup so here is a list with their respective stages and a link to a youtube video containing the song/songs.

I'd love to make it to the next event, seeing as I couldn't make it this time, and I'll see if I can bring my friends

I just got to HoG and the doors were shut.
I'm assuming that the tourney is not going today.

The weather shows that there is going to be MORE snow in CT and last time there were a lot of people from outside the state. Chances are if they did the tourney today, the may end up making people leave in a snow storm, which I don't really think they want.

I'm terribly sorry for those who went to the venue. I posted in the results thread that the event was pushed a week due to conflicting events/snow. I should have posted it here as well, my fault entirely
