We saw at least Pyrosphere and Wily's Castle in FD mode months ago, as well as battlefield.

I just kinda.. kinda wrote it off. Maybe the platforms leave? It's not unrealistic. Maybe it's debug like @ Chimera Chimera said?

Same as above. I noticed, but I thought it was for demo purposes. Considering how they went so long without mentioning it was an actual feature, of course the only logical assumption at the time was that it was for demonstration purposes.

I noticed the Battlefield style Final Destination, not sure why nobody else did or why everyone would assume that we would not have a more dramatic Final Destination.
And by this logic, Smash Run and boss battles were revealed a year ago as well.

It's easy to see it now in hindsight. There was no way for us to assume at the time that they were going to do this, the evidence wasn't really there to come to that conclusion.

I noticed it, and thought FD might've been a platform-less Battlefield this time around.

I then thought that was silly, and figured FD was going to look much cooler than that. So to me, it was probably for demo purposes, like everyone else said.

I know it's been pointed out by Sakurai that most of the stages will have an FD version, but I'm hoping nearly all of them. All the levels look really good.

He's not literally calling anyone a moron. He's just in disbelief that it wasn't widely recognized. You were choosing to be offended by something that had no intent of being offensive, so that's why I said what I said.

Anyway, I didn't actually make the connection myself. I figured it was just for demonstration purposes.

We all choose to be offended. Period. If you chose to think through what was said, you decided whether or not you took offensive to what was said. That's why you responded after all, to defend yourself. I'm not saying you're mad. Taking offensive to something doesn't always result in being angry. Now, if you instantly read that and quickly replied "I'm not a moron, and you shouldn't be calling people morons", it seems you took what he said too much to heart.

That's the last I have to say on the matter, I'm not trying to start something with a new member, or anyone in general. I'm just explaining to you why I defended him in the first place.

On topic:

It makes sense to me for them to finally include this feature. I mean, they usually left stages like this in the games data anyway, might as well make them accessible.

I had noticed the no platform Battlefield, though I thought it was a test stage for demo purposes. Guess I was wrong, but I'm glad I was.

I think calling everyone a moron, jokingly or not, is not going to resonate with 100% of the people. FD versions of stages have been discussed before the reveal and as mentioned in this thread, people already assumed something about them. Don't you think it's a little bit hypocritical that you defend someone else, but I can't defend myself? It's a two-way street and you're sticking to one side. If I need to get over myself, you need to get over yourself.

Can I try? On topic:

I wonder if we'll get FD versions of past stages. :love:
