Misery? Isn't that the one where the author crashes, is kidnapped and forced to write a novel by a psychotic, murderous woman in a snowy mountain village?

If it is, I've read it. Good book.

Lord of the Rings, though I have yet to read Return of the King (the last one) I'll read ROTK after I see the Two Towers. I like Harry Potter too, but while LOTR is out there, the series fails to catch my full attention as it once did a year ago... yeah, Holes is a great book too, that and "The Ear, the Eye and the SArm" are my favorite Newberr award-winners. It will be made in to a movie, MastFoot. Don't get yer hopes up though- it might end up bwing directed to younger readers and be corny.

Derry wasn't so bad, it's huge scompared to everyplace around it. But yes, it is a bit run down. Misery was scary, have you guys seen the movie? It was good. Kathy Bates played Annie and she was so scary! Also, when I got my wisdom teeth out, you know how you have to rinse your mouth with salty water. My mom kept coming in my room telling me it was time to rinse. I was terrified.

My favorite books? Well, lets see:
Lord Of The Rings - that book is so amazing, in fact, so are all of Tolkien's books in that series. I finished that book in one and a half weeks, and I am currently on my third run through of it, albeit a little slower this time.
Watership Down - Great book, I read it back in 5th grade.
The Left Behind Series - I've read 5 of the books in this series, and they are really engrossing. Its also really fun to laugh at all the christians in these books. The focus on Revelations has led me to beleive that someone got their hands on some opium back when this last book of the Bible was written.
Hunt for the Red October, Executive Orders... - and all other books by Tom Clancy. I have read all of them, and each one gets better. I can't wait for the next one.

"I'm your number one fan." The book version of Misery was much more gruesome than the movie, though Kathy Bates does a good job as a scary psychopath. In the movie, Paul (I think thats' his name) escapes with just broken feet and other small injuries as I remember. But in the book, he escapes with no feet, a missing thumb, some other things...

I also like a series called Broken Sky...

I love the scene where Annie "kills" Paul, near the end of the book. It scared the living daylights out of me. The movie isn't as scary or gruesome as the book, but James Caan was pretty good as Paul and Katy Bates killed as Annie. Also, the late Richard Farnsworth played the sheriff, a role made just for the movie. (If it were the book, he would have been the deputy and would have been run over by a lawn mower, then stabbed with a cross. Instead, he was just shot with a shotgun.)

The Hobbit - Great book! Although it is a little more written for younger ages more than the trilogy, the book can definitely be pleasing to the older age too.
Lord of the Rings - I've only finished the first book, and I'm liking the second, so I'm sure I'll like the third also

Left Behind series - The series is getting watered down, but I like 'em. The Kids ones are also good.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - Written by C.S. Lewis; what else is there to say? :D
My mind seemed to have blanked out on me. I can't remember much other books, lol

The Lord of the Rings (and of course, The Hobbit)

Any book written by Douglas Adams

The Magic the Gathering Series

Ender's Game (but not the following 2)

Those are my personal favorites. Douglas Adams, just so you know, writes satirical books.

A great scifi/fantasy trilogy... Lots of psychology, one of the best anti-heroes I've ever seen (my personal hero, Gerald Tarrant). I cannot say enough good things about this Trilogy.

The movie "Willow" is continued in this great cerebral trilogy by the X-Men's best writer, Chris Claremont. Intelligent and heartfelt with a great story. If you liked the movie "Willow" you will love this.

The ultimate AD&D series. Tolkien created the fantasy genre: These two refined it. The most memorable characters in a fantasy series ever. Ever.

Fantasy/western/sci-fi/horror... Whatever it is. It's good. Guns and magic. I love it.

One of the funniest sci-fi comedy series' of all time. You should read this. You should all read this. Mr. Adams was also a very intelligent and witty guy, and a celebrated atheist. (one of my personal heroes)

Those are my favorite book trilogies and series. Some of my favorite authors (past and present) include: Piers Anthony, J. R. R. Tolkien, Isaac Asimov, H. G. Wells, L. Ron Hubbard, William Shakespeare (thou uneducated sloths! I bite my thumb at you!), Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens), George Carlin (funniest man ever), Dave Barry, Michael Crichton, and Philip K. Dick.

In case you didn't notice, I like to read. A lot.

If anyone else wants to chat about some of the books on my master list up there, lemme know. Especially the Coldfire Trilogy and the Shadow War Trilogy. :)
