Oh hey a thread of one of my favorite Nintendo franchises

I loved the first two Famicom Detective Club remakes, I’m really hoping that they remake the third game as well and I’d love to see Ayumi in Super Smash Bros too.

More people need to experience this franchise.

Gotta say was really not expecting the whole Emio thing to turn out to be a new fdc game.

Think it was a really good marketing strategy & is just really cool to see the series revival keep going & makes you wonder what else nintendo may try (thinking about other recent series in similar positions like Another Code & do i do dare say FZero).

Some sort of...99-racer battle royale?
Meant more about what Fzero 99 (& Another Code Recollection) could be setting up for (especially if they performed well). Not going to lie feel like myself & several others were disappointed with 99 as we were (& still are) hoping to someday have a remake or new game with the presentation & gameplay of X & GX.

Ah, understand. I'm mainly disappointed in 99 because I can't play it period, thanks to a banned Switch.

i dunno the nature of the another code remakes made it feel that it'll be unlikely that there'll be any more

speaking of which the wording in that video i made it sound like this might be the last game. which would be disappointing

Probably spoke out of line, only played the Another Code demo & never played FDC, was just excited to see an ip i dont think anyone thought would ever get a new game beat the odds & compared it to series with similar recent history.

Still will say i am more optimistic. If it made enough money & people have more creative ideas i think it could happen, could always reboot or do a whole new setting & characters if you really wanted.

yeah it is a good sign for other series with recent revivals. assuming those series aren't finished now.

Hey guys, I bought Emio The Smiling Man yesterday and just started playing it. It's great and it's reminding me how the first two games were so good that I wanted to keep playing. Anyone else got the game yet?
I've been rolling through it today and am at Ch 9. I think is the best game in the series.

EDIT: I have completed Emio: The Smiling Man. This is the best game in the series.
Emio for Smash.

I have finally finished the game and loved it, having Famicom Detective Club do a serial killer story suits it so well. I would love to see a game about Utsugi's past before he started the Detective Agency or a translation of the BSX game "The Past that Disapeared in the Snow."

I haven't purchased a single title of this series but I'm getting interested.
How would you compare it to the Ace Attorney series?

well you'll certainly notice some similarities but the games are no where near as quirky. first game is played pretty straight. there's a little bit more humour in the others but not to the same extent. i think if you like the AA games there a good chance you'll enjoy these too but that'll depend on how much of it is based on AA's humour and puzzles
