this thread is for those people with little questions about falco stuff, stuff thats not really worth opening a whole new thread for.

ill start, how big is the advantage of c stick Dair over normal Dair, i know you can control it better, but how much does it really help?

You can use the control stick to DI while using the cstick to do the move.

Csticking aerials has been something noted to be better for doing aerial moves for awhile now; check melee discussion.

Wrong, you can do aerials with C-stick set to smash.
Wow, what a... dum i am oO I forgot it, thanks ;)

Also wrong, using C-stick Dair will make you fastfall as long as you use it at the right time.
Yes, but only at the pik of your jump. Some smashers can't perform a Dair without Fastfall with the gray stick, so they use C-Stick for DAirs. ;)

How to beat teh Donkey Kong?
Lazzzzerzzz are no good for DK, he's such a huge target.

Chain grab ftw.

Multiple utilts are also a great way to rack up some damage early on if the opportunity rises when a chain grab may not be accessable.

Just play smart, be sure to airdodge/sidestep pleanty and you should be fine, the advantage is deffinatly in your favor.

Are you trying to say that C-stick forces a fastfall or that you can't fastfall with C-stick? If you mean the former (which I think is what you mean), then yeah you're right.

@Heroes_Never_Die: He stated that since some people are unable to perform [D] without condition [F] when not using [G], some people use [C] to perform [D].

Your question is whether using [C] forces the condition of [F]. Your answer should be clear, now.
Although, true, the reduplicated negatives in his diction are more apparent in the breakdown above. :psycho:

i don't think doing dair with the c stick fast falls. if u do it normally with the attack button and you are already falling or past the peak of your jump you will fastfall, unless your dair has a specific animation like rob's.

But surely Blad is right, as the c-stick has the same affect as a normal dair when rising from your jump, but at the peak it will do a ff dair.

I apologise if I've missed something.

If people didn't know you can C-Stick Aerials set on Smash-sticking then someone needs to experiment a bit more

A non-rising Dair c-sticked will auto fastfall. so if you sh and c-stick the dair, it would be the same as doing a shffdair regularly :chuckle:

Although sometimes, for spacing reasons, you may want to fast fall after C-sticking, which can be done easily with the control stick as long as you aren't performing an ascending dair.

But I've rarely used the C-stick in Brawl save for smashes. In Melee it was sometimes necessary for me, but even then I did things like Pillaring with the control stick + A

If you dair on the way up of a sh you don't fastfall. It happens to me all the time.

How do you cancel sideb? Either my fingers are not fast enough or double tapping b doesn't work

Wrong. C-stick dair while set to smash is always fastfall. The only way to not fastfall a dair is to dtilt your dair with the control stick, or set c-stick to tilt (just a guess for the c-stick to tilt though).

alright i like this discussion, but lets get to the main aspect of this question...... is it worth it to Tilt a Down air with control stick no DI and uncomfortable feel instead of FFing a usual Dair to avoid to Fast fall. Im asking who use's Control stick tilt to avoid it and who just screws it and either kills them self or is to scared to go for spikes?

I found though that there are two ways to cancel. You can either do it in the middle or you can stop the move at the beginning.

I scratched my copy of Brawl, so I can't test this yet.
Anyway, I think I remember seeing that the hitbox for the bair sex kick extends to his front. If I want to kill with that move, instead of RARing it, can I just hit with the front end of the bair for the same amount of knockback? My roommate sees my RAR's coming now, so I'm thinking about using that as a riskier alternative from time to time.

The knockback seems slightly lower, but it could be placebo because using the forward part of b-air looks weird. I've tried this a lot, and I don't see any loss of priority. It still kills. Falco turns his head as he does the attack, so every time you do it you turn around.

Something to keep in mind.

Thanks. As soon as I get my new copy I'll try it out.

Press B exactly when you hear the "shing" sound.
... I can't even get the short-distance Falco Phantasm on 1/4 speed. :(

First you enter a "I'm about to side-B" stance, then there's a shiney animation accompanied by a sucking noise. When that's done, there's a "shing" sound, which is followed immediately by the attack.
It also seems that the 'shing' occurs at the same moment as Falco begins to move his left wing from the ready stance.

How many frames are we talkin' here? Some sorta guess.

You don't have to actually do an up smash, simply hold the control stick up and mash A during your dash attack.

Is that true?

One final thing: So far I've only been able to do a DL smash IF the dash attack was initiated on the first step of the dash animation (so he hops forward, then appears to kick right off the ground from that).
Do I need to hit near the beginning of the dash attack too? Because I haven't succeeded with the end of it.

*resurrects Q & A thread*

To cancel the phantasm, try to press B 4 times before Falco takes off.

Usually when I hit with it the opponent is hit by the DA around the middle, as the guys I play with are just kind of good enough to punish me for getting too close. (IC's)
