Falcon vs Fox/Falco

Who ***** falcon harder? Fox or Falco?

Also, is it stage dependent? On FD it would seem better to go Falco (DL64 too probably), and for FoD I'd go with Fox (platforms mess with my falco lasers), but for YS, Battlefield, and Stadium I don't know who I'd use.

My fox is slightly better than my falco, but both are pretty technical. I think my fox is better just because he's gayer and easier to kill with, not necessarily because I have more skill with him.

Oh yeah, I'm not that good with other counterpick stages. If I went somewhere else I'd only use Fox anyway. Falco seems to get messed up by weird stages.

Sorry, I don't have any videos, you'll just have to assume I have a lot of tourney experience so I do know what I'm talking about.

This ended up being a lot longer than I meant for it to be, but my last question is, do Falcon players have trouble with camping Foxes/Falcos? Jungle Japes would be the only stage I would consider counterpicking; I really hate other stages. I hate green greens, even though it would probably help a lot.

Thanks in advance for helping me beat you guys.

They prefer gang ****. It doesn't matter anyway, if you play either one of them you're going to get *****, probably because Falcon sucks almost as hard as G-reg.

Did I just say that^? I'm stupid

I don't get this thread...you're asking us on the Falcon board to degrade our character by conceding his vulnerability??

...on topic: Fox's shine hurts pretty bad since it can gimp KO at low %s...

Fox > Falcon always. Try getting waveshined all the way across the stage then shine spiked.

Fox's vertical kills are also strong enough to kill Falcon even though Falcon is the hardest character to kill vertacally.

Falco is also annoying, but not quite as annoying but that's my opinion.

I'm asking which character you would rather (or rather not) fight. So which matchup is easier for you and why.

so to reply: you'd rather fight falco since it's easier to get gimped against fox?

Yup....I'd rather fight Falco because SHL is easier for me to deal with than Fox's shine (Those two things are what I consider the essence of each char..I know that knowing those skills doesn't make you a good falco/fox, but most good players know how to use them and use them well)

Both are equally challenging matchups, but the shine spike sometimes results in early KOs on me...usually because I get clumsy at the edge (yea, yea no johns *rolls eyes*)...or I am recovering and Fox just shrugs off my up+b with his shine. Fox also has a pretty mean upsmash and uair juggle, Falco's counterparts of those are weaker. Falco's SHL camp isn't going to kill me, and pillar is just easier to deal with than waveshine.

Though I must stress this is just my opinion.

I would rather fight Fox a million times over (but this is just me).

Approaching Falco and dealing with staying OUT of combos while getting yours in is such a hassle...

Fox is no cakewalk, mind you, I'd rather not fight either.

I feel like I need to add to this. Simply:

I'd rather fight a Fox than a Falco on FD. Anywhere else, Falco isn't as bad. It could even be considered an even match.

it's nowhere near an even match, no matter what stage.

falco is falcon's worst matchup, imo.

First of all, you don't want to camp against Falcon. Constant pressure is the name of the game.

They're both kind of gay to Falcon, but I would say Fox is the tougher opponent. Falcon can't combo Falcon particularly well (assuming proper DI) and lasers are more annoying than they are threatening. He's also much easier to kill.

I thought falco had a guaranteed 40 or 50% combo if he lands a shine or dair at 0 on any of the bigger stages?

And if not falcon, who CAN falco combo "well" assuming proper DI?
Fox and himself.

Don't get me wrong. He can combo Falcon, but not quite as badly as Sheik/Marth/Fox, for example.

Yeah, fox are fast mutha ******s just like falcon, but if you pressure spacies hard enough, they will be as easy as Chuck Norris punching a guy with his chin. Plus, they laser camp you which can be prety annoying, but techchase+knee= ftw

If you want you can try raptor boosts after they fail to tech your L-cancelled dair, works wonders because it's usually a free knee. You have to raptor boost immediately though, so they don't get away, so you sometimes have to guess when to use it.
