Hey guys, moogle and I sat down for a few hours and grinded out some matches for people to critique.

I feel like I'm at a point where it's very hard for me to improve on my own. I know that self reflection is the best method for improvement, but some ideas from the top Falcon players out there would be great for me right now, I think.

We recorded 40 matches total, the entire playlist can be found here if you want to watch more than what's listed here.

The earlier matches are higher quality imo, there's a point where I get worn out or frustrated and make a lot more mistakes.

moogle (Sheik) vs. j00t (Falcon) - 1
moogle (Sheik) vs. j00t (Falcon) - 12
moogle (Sheik) vs. j00t (Falcon) - 13
moogle (Sheik) vs. j00t (Falcon) - 15

Some of my thoughts:

Gentleman: I find myself relying on this technique far too often and I feel like I get punished for it too much. What options on shield after an aerial are safer? It seems like nair can be used somewhat safely, but it also seems like Sheik nair oos can beat it.

Yoshi's Story: This stage seems like a ***** against Sheik, even moreso than Fountain. The slanted ledges are so dumb IMO. Maybe it's because I don't like this stage in general, but especially for this matchup it seems like Falcon has a hard time.

nair: I should use this move much more sparingly, especially right in front of her. Sheik's grab range is so much better than Falcon's, so landing an attack right in front of her is awful. I did this a lot in these matches... gonna try to use the move closer to her so that it actually puts her in some sort of stun.

Sheik on ledge: I am so aggro against a Sheik on the ledge in these videos, and that's probably the worst thing Falcon can do. I need to be more patient and react to what she does. Especially need to pay attention to whether or not she is above or below 100%, as being above 100% obviously makes her moves more telegraphed.

Go at it. Tell me how bad I am, etc. etc. :p

On shield: spaced nairs and knee > grab work well. I'm not sure if a really well spaced knee is out of shield grab range. Don't move forward with all your moves, throw them out and move backwards. Um, to put it better try making walls with your moves.

Double jumps are easy to punish so careful with all your double jump dairs (although I do like your use of it). I half watched one video. I'll try to edit this post soon.

ur edgeguarding blows @ beginning of game 1 that should be freest kill

u can smash DI jab resets up/ or c-stick up when you are higher percent, but that isn't a guaranteed escape either but better than guaranteed ****

n-air/gentlemen is all about spacing/ mixing it up. you do NOT want to be too close because based on first vid even if your jab gets off moogle knows to simply crouch cancel jabs --> shield--> grab

I make it my goal not to be too close following n-air/ gentleman, sometimes you throw it out though because you are in a bad spot, otherwise you are spacing bad

only watched parts of game 1

Usually when I smash DI up on jabs he just ftilts and ***** me anyways... I kinda want to try smash DI'ng up and away to avoid that.

Was there anything that you two noticed that I thought I did well and should not stop doing? :p

@Slox: Double jump dairs aren't good at all, I used them a lot here to experiment but it only proved useful a couple of times.

its better to DI the jab up then (smash) DI the f-tilt away then just getting regrabbed that way you have a chance to escape

i liked the regrab spots too but yea edgeguarding game 1 made me /: after seeing the really good setups. don't miss edge guards and space your moves better and you won't have a problem with sheik.
