Falcon Livestream?

So Mango has a livestream that he usually does with sfat.I always love watching it because they use different characters, Mango usually has satirical advice to offer and there's always discussion on the live chat about techniques and stuff. But it got me thinking of how useful it would be to have a falcon livestream, it would be so nice. I think if Hax, S2J or Scar did a livestream that they could benefit they Falcon community more than ever. More than even having their own Q+A threads. It all just depends if one of them is willing to step up to it and has the equipment/time to do it.

Gosh that would be so sick. I'll look up some stuff and talk to SFAT and I'll get back to you on that. (unless someone else already knows)

you just need a good laptop / desktop + normal recording setup and a like 30$ live cam you can get off amazon or something.

download xsplit and it's a walk in the park from there. i just don't think anyone in ny besides prog really is down for that. *contemplates moving to ny*

...link? :bee:

And if Hax/S2J/Scar/whoever set up a livestream and regularly did that it would be awesome.
should note that it's not really a regular stream (anymore). mango stayed w/him for a couple weeks before rule6 and they streamed often during his stay

edit: not that you shouldn't subscribe lol

LMAO yeeah let's get this shiz rolling.

Okay this is what SFAT messaged me on facebook:

Zac *****

double sided avi cables, something to transmit it through (a dazzle or smthing), and a computer program (xsplit). thats about it

So I just went on google and did a quick search for prices:

Double sided avi cables - ~$3.00 used:
http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&ke...vpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&ref=pd_sl_1m2fcnnjwt_b

Pinnacle Dazzle ~$35-55:
https://www.google.com/search?q=pin...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Xsplit program for personal-use - $39.95 for a year:
https://www.xsplit.com/Account/License/Buy/pp=NAVBAR

Total cost: $90-100

Also, I think we could easily get a 2 dollar donations fund going from the boards here to help out if you think you'd need help. I'm sure we have more than a few people that would love to see this go through.

It'd be sweet if you, hax and scar each did livestreams that way we'd also get a steady flow of material. I think scar has a livestream for lean but I'm not positive that it's his own setup.

It would be fun to see what scar gets upto messing round but isn't he inactive now?

Also S2J do you only get to practice at tourneys or what? Why on earth wouldn't you have a GC with melee if you play it at a pro level :/

Lots of people are pretty close to each other in SoCal. It's not too hard to find to find someone to play with around here, at least compared to lots of other states.

Yeah I'm definitely finding out that when you live in a dense area (like i SoCal or at a University) you don't need to own a setup.

Understandable, but if you wanna be the best / improve (maybe you dont) it can only help having your own.

i was streaming like 3 days a week back in early 2012

hax it's super cheap to stream, whether it's worth it imo depends on how much you play
