Falco Ditto Laser Game

I have no idea how to pewpew properly like the rebel alliance in star wars

but really, i recently just learned you can SHL high and when the other falco jumps, itll eff him up.

im wondering what are some fundamentals, and some nifty tricks, i need to know in order to compete in the falco laser metagame?

Run off platform jump and double laser. Your at the ledge, jump up and double laser. Laser>Grab
If you SH laser high then it can messup your opponents jump. Puff and Sheik can crouch under your lasers, you can hit them but it has to be really close to the ground. Marth can dash under lasers. I don't understand why your asking about lasers specifically in Falco dittos though.

I don't know if every falco is supposed to look like an idiot in dittos or if just nobody has told me the secret yet.

im asking for falco dittos only, cause i know laser fundamentals when it comes to other characters... using lasers for control and spacing

the thing about falco dittos, is that the other falco also has the best projectile (imo) in the game... and therefore can shut you down just as easily as you can shut him down

so im wondering what is going through people's heads when fighting falco dittos on how to time lasers, space lasers, and other laser tricks/ideas in order to gain the extra edge against other lasering falcos

it's just like. hit him with lasers and use those as a cover to approach with. he'll either do something dumb like get locked in shield or else he has to jump up to the platforms and then you have ground control and you're fine, just punish him (or laser moar) when he comes down.

if you're a pimp you can ps his lasers and then laser and then have laser control.

and you can mostly shoot high lasers against falco cause he has no great ground approach, so you mostly need to stuff his short hops.

getting locked in shield isnt all bad.

especially cuz most falco once they gain laser control will immediately try to press with laser->laser->aerial. As long as your proficient with shine oos, this can actually be a good way to turn the tides.

but im not recommending shielding, its just not the end of the world if you lose the laser battle.
but yea, a good thing to do is short hop over their low lasers and shoot high laser. i dont really know any other tricks tho falco dittos are ugly when combo'ing isnt happening.

well if your opponent is ******** then yes, sit in your shield, angle it up, and shine oos. and conversely dont be a ****** so your opponent can't do that.

but you dont HAVE to aerial his shield once he's in it. you do have a grab too. and you can just sit there and wait a sec and force him to move and then **** him.

if he lasers and then you laser, you shouldnt have lasered because you both get hit or his negates yours from coming out at all.

Mix it up.

Crouch cancel the laser when they are approaching then shine cambos. Powershield them back. Shine them back. Retreat and laser as well. Use platforms, etc. No real secret besides for see/assess/react.

I would like to hear about the specific laser tricks that gain control from ppl such as sleepy/ chops/pp/etc

I hate this matchup because lasers are cheap as hell!!!! LOL
