Fair Autocancel but better???

ok, so I did a rising Fair to get back to the stage, but was like on the stage when I faired cause I think I fastfell at the tip of my DJ. I immediately charged up my fsmash to my left ( I was recovering right) and I slid... and kept sliding until I let go of A (got the KO XD) So I autocancelled my Fair to a dash cancel, but with FSMASH. Someone try to reproduce, this, I gotta sleep =p

Does 'until i let go of A' mean more than a second or so?
Also, was it a crawl dash?

well, if you can't reproduce it for a vid, i'll help in the effort.... i might just give up on maining falco for yoshi, so i wanna learn how to beat all of the top tier...
