he was just pointing out the fact that i can only play yoshi. i can tele with jiggs and samus though and i do apply it to my game play with both of them.

Teleporing is a good thing to know, but it isn't absolutely vital that you learn to teleport.
Yoshi can teleport in the American version?

nice bump. Yoshi can't teleport in either version. SSBPete just mains yoshi, but can teleport with other chars and was getting lol'd at.

I think this thread is good but could/should be expanded upon. Also, I do not think this thread belongs here. It should be for people not just of Smash64 and expanded to the others. Or at least Melee. Brawl is not too important considering there aren't many questions besides "can you play MK?" and "can you DI within the 259120598 frames you're given?" or etc.

And I'm gonna be honest here, a player can be good at ssb without having to know the specific name of every technique in smash lol I don't know what the hell pivoting means in smash but I'm sure I do it cus I'm not getting 5 stocked by every player I play. So how could using this guide make you a pro? Why because you actually decide to research names for techniques?

You can know everything there is to know about the game and still be a poor player.

Conversely, you can not know a lot of things, and still be an excellent player.

Easy. You learnt about Z-cancels and stuff on your own, assumed they were basic mechanics, and played as if it were standard.

M2K isn't better than 97% of the people on here either. He obviously could be but he doesn't play ssb64 hardly any that I know of??

I played him at FAST and I doubt hes much better now since he spends all his time on brawl and the small remaining percent on melee.
