Sadly, that's street date for ya. Contracts obligate you to follow them. FYE has it for movies, Borders does it with books, there's nothing you can do. Just take it in stride and wait one more day, man.

Lol Sorry, I feel bad for you; it's just that I thought I had it bad with the anticipation. You however are forced to be less than a foot away from hundreds of copies of the game every time you go to work. That must be a bummer :urg:

I feel your pain, I work at Best Buy and we already have them cased and in the back room ready to go. Now...being a Media Specialist, I get to see them every day.

I'm not quite to the point where I can not stand it, but I am itching to play it though. >.> Probably take my frustration out at tommorow night's gamestop tournament. Not quite like a MLG Tournament, but...still brings joy in murdering new people. :) This fact alone is what satisfies me.

Heh. Your lucky, I have to work sunday. The store messed up the schedule and put only one person on opening sunday morning, so last night our supervisor put me on the schedule for that entire morning since I am the main gaming specialist in the store.

And because of my position; there's no way I could ever con a day off for a game...they would see through that so easily. (...and they have. Twilight Princess, for example...)

But luckily; it only delays my smashing by 7 hours...

Emo, quick question. About how many copies does your Gamestop have? Trolls have gotten to me by saying there are not enough for preoders... :(

NC - I heard the same thing as well, but a friend of mine who works at gamestop said there was enough to cover pre-orders. If that were to change; then more would be brought that night when the Tournament Directors show up.

I do not think there will be a shortage problem pre-order wise, since a rep will be coming. Besides; pre-orders for Brawl closed today when gamestop closed. So from here until launch, it is pretty much a set number.

Haha, now now. If you plan on smashing lots of people you need your sleep. I do not get the chance to even sleep of my own will, since I have to go in to work at 7am this morning, get off at 6:00pm, grab a small bite to eat and head over to the mall to register for the Tournament; and then spend the next few hours practicing on the Wii Remote/Nunchuck.

Sad part is...when it releases at midnight, if I do not go to sleep I will not be able to work in the morning...as I am due right back in sunday morning at 7am :(

Yeah, I plan on playing online all the time actually. This fall I will have a dedicated high speed line at the University, so I will probably be playing every single day...

If only my boss would not see through my decoy of wanting off for a game, I could do the same. I'm not that lucky though.

Up at state the only real limit on bandwidth is how much your computer can handle.

Same for us down here, I'm switching over to live on campus next semester just so I can play my Wii on high speed since now there's a major title I can play on it. :p

But so far; there's three characters I have big picks on that I will probably be playing all the time...Meta Knight being the biggest one in particular, since I have always been a fan of him since the original Kirby games.

It's less then a day now, so it shouldn't haunt us much longer. 22 Hours for me, that seems extremely short. I have to work 6 hours after I get the game but after that I will enjoy 7-10 hours of glorious smash before I need to rest and go back to work.

Looking at my Brawl Counter, I have 20 hours, 46 minutes, and 34 seconds. :p Only thing to living in the midwest; I will not get it before everyone on the east coast...but I will before anyone else to the west of me. :)

You are partially right Komatsu pre-orders are "stopped" but i promise if you go in and try to pre-order it they will let you. Our District Manager has told us to take as many as we can due to the fact whatever we dont have on-hand will be shipped to us that night or that morning

Yeah; the local store here said that the Tourn. Directors from Nintendo would be bringing what was needed if the pre-orders outsold the number the store had in stock. Being the last day though, with the Directors already on their way to the stores; I doubt they would let it go much longer in fear of that since they probably already have copies of the game with them.
