So... Im wondering, if you try and join a game but youre not allowed in by whoevers playing, does the game actually say so or does it give that non specific "Unable to join" message. Because i've tried to join other people's rooms now and keep getting the boot. I dont wanna keep trying thinking its some sort of connection glitch when people just dont want me in their rooms.
Strange though. Why add my friend code if you dont want me to join?
So far bit of a disapointment really. The With Anyone online for now is just too hit and miss, when it works its great, when it doesnt you get stuck in matches where Pikachu's spam the lightning over and over and actually win with it. But then thats the price you pay for importing and being matched up against people oversea's, and hopefully this is something that will get sorted out when Brawl finally comes to Europe, whenever Nintendo deems us worthy of having it.
Brawl is a fantastic game, but its a shame it is so restricted by Nintendo's policies and shoddy online service. Its a game that is being held back by the hardware its on. I dont care that its not in high def, but i do care that its online mode is totally gimped and could have been so much better if it actually had proper communication options. Also, there really was no need to disallow With Anyone players from creating their own rulesets. Personally, i prefer to play this game with the stock rules rather than the standard timer, and im sure plenty of other people do too.
I'll probably get hung, drawn and quartered for this, but i wish this game was on the Xbox 360. Purely because Microsoft wouldnt have let this game ship without it having decent and accesible online options. If Nintendo's new "Pay to play" online scheme will include Brawl, then i'll be kissing goodbye to the online mode. Right now it's only saving grace is that i ain't paying a penny for it.
Still, im glad i got people i can play this with offline...
