ok so i've been trying to learn yoshi, and i can do the double-jump-smash cancel thing (i think it's called dragon-dash or something) and I can smash out of it, it's kinda fun to throw in a running down-smash, especially if their shield is small from blocking your eggs...

the only problem is that i gimp myself 99% of the time doing the ledge-egg guarding (ie air-egg will eat my 2nd jump most of the time) with tap jump on

anyone got a controller setup they use that allows both to be used easily?

I've got that exact same problem, do I swicth tap jump off and make egg techniques easier... or do I keep it on and keep dragonic reverse. I think it would be pretty dificult to be able to consistently pull off the DR in battle without tap jump.

lol i switched all the d-pad off of taunt and on to jump, and if I focus really REALLY hard i can do u/d and do it, but it's so impractical, and works like 1/15 times... the problem is tap jump works differently than a button for jump, if you hold the jump button any other button mapped to jump doesn't trigger unless the first is released...

which means inputting jump-jump-attack in a rediculously short time is nigh impossible without tap jump, just wondering if anyone had any success... first time i tried i was sliding my finger from y-x and i got some decent results (1/20) but the dpad works better...

Just press YYA, I get at least 4 in a row. If i can do it with joint damage in my thumb, anyone can.

hm, i actually haven't tried tapping the same button twice... wow, simple solutions...

guess i wanted the controller to make up for my shortfalls :)
