East Coast Regional Circuit - 2008! - Postponed to summer!

i hope theres atleast 1 tourny in pa! btw im trying to host a big tourny in the summer. and maybe add the montage's series to this?
Are you guys following the system laid out in the first post? Are there any specific changes you guys are making?

ECRC canceled...unless WOZ and other TO's can help me out with this, I can't do it alone...so for now as far as I'm concerned I'm too frustrated to continue right now.
I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to this, but I don't think the East Coast as a whole is mature enough to get it done. I'm sorry to WOZ and everyone else who tried, but I need help to do this and I'm not getting any right now. So I'm done.

Ok, just so everyone knows Esticle this coming weekend has just been announced as the first East Coast Regional Circuit event. Basically that means that points will be issued to the top placers and at the finals (Cataclysm 4...coming soon to MA) the points winners in singles and teams gets PAID. So that should be extra incentive for everyone coming. Point scales and such can be found here: http://www.smashboards.com/showpost....83&postcount=1
Not all info there is accurate though. I'm going to be making a new thread soon I think and maybe revising the point scale. That's just a guide for now. Also, this should also be used to help issue the first Brawl power rankings, which will be based on tournament results solely rather than opinion. So there you go, everyone should be excited for the chance at a HUUGE bonus for the points winner! See you all this weekend!!

Well if it didn't get started then, it wouldn't have gotten done this summer. The other events will give people more notice and the points title is far from out of reach if you're a good player.

I'm confused about who you even are.
Okay? That wasn't my point. They had easy access to this event. They had no huge competition in the form of the top players down here due to the short notice and the GA major. They now have a very large amount of points over everyone else. They just need to attend every other event, which will actually have notice, not suck, and then they win.
It's not their fault, so I don't want either of them coming in here yelling me. It's the directors' faults.

Then we can talk about, either reducing this events points, or removing them

Idk, if im in over my head, but you guys should make Clash of the Titans 4 a circuit tourny. Here are some reasons:
* 1 week notice brought in 30-40 for brawl.
* This will be carefully preired and we brought in NY,PA, and NJ, also with a good notice we could bring in New England and MD/VA.
*Lots of housing, and an amazing tournament host that devotes all of his time to the tournies. CoT3 wasnt big but the effort Chibo gave was amazing.
I just tipped the iceburg, but the Mages and Titans of Smash should talk something out, eh?

Montage's next event being in the circuit would be the same as the last event being in the circuit...except still more fair anyways.
On the same day as the middle of nowhere TGP event and NYC Smashfest? Lol, who cares? The last circuit event was on the same day as a small NJ event, a Melee major in GA, and I believe a tourny in MD/VA, except it was announced to be a circuit event with a few days notice while Montage's next event would have have over two weeks notice.

I've been in contact with a few different people down there and no one I've talked to wants in. Tell whoever is hosting tournaments to post here if they want in.

Since only two people from CT and above have ever attended NJ events, and one of them doesn't even play Brawl, Montage's next event will gladly be part of the circuit. It actually balances out the unfairness caused by the last event, and our event has enough notice for MD/VA to show up.

Wait, hold up ToS has a **** load more of a chance then Montage since you guys had a chance with the Mages, and screwed up. The Mages and ToS should host CoT4 together since Chibo and GOTM + The Mages= Fawken ****

Our tournaments crush yours in attendance and are ran by two certified hosts instead of one.
The Mages also had their share of messing up with us. We were perfectly willing to dicuss Cataclysm 4 more with them and concede to their schedule. From what I know, they refused. It's their loss, anyways; they will not find a large, hotel venue in a good location to use for free.
