It looks like publishes are finally cutting this "war on used games" **** out. EA is apparently ditching the "online pass" model for all future games. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the nature of online passes, the basic gist is that if you buy a game new you get a little slip of paper with a code on it that allows you to access all of the online features of the game, however if you buy the game used then you're not able to access any of the online features it may have.
EA still doesn't want to admit they did it to try and do away with used games by saying that online passes were to "package a full menu of online content and services." But hey, at least they've wizened up.
