I'm gunna take a guess here, this looks like a press kit for newspapers and websites. meaning they will put everything they have announced or shown here, and members of the press will be given the password. I dunno, I could be wrong but that seems likely to me, plus that would explain why there's nothing we haven't seen.

Why are there 2 new Harvest Moon titles for the DS? I wonder if it's going to be like Pokemon (with two different versions of the same game). And no I didn't download them because I'm that lazy.

This is what is provided to the press as of now...
Not confirmation that we won't see a Brawl vid.
Reggie implied we will see more on the game this week.

Yes. But, I'm not sure he implied anything. QWe'll have to see, but I feel we may not hear anymore. But, if we don't we still have the Dojo site.

I can answer that, I'm an HM fan.

Some are spin offs, some are 3-d, some are 2-d, they are different games. There are so many HM games, it's not even funny, it's a shame Japan gets them WAY before us.

WOO! Guilty Gear coming for the Wii! *does a dance*

If you look at the Mario Galaxy kit, one of the PDF's contacts is a company by the name GOLIN HARRIS.

Go to golinharris.com and you can see it's a huge PR agency. They've represented McDonald's and I guess Nintendo as well.

Not working for me.

Nvm, it's all lowercase letters. What does this say, that we won't get a new trailer for Brawl?

Know that Brawl wasn't on Nintendo's E3 press kit last year, yet it still made its debut. Press kits get leaked every year, so this isn't really a rare occassion.

Well that's good to hear, but I kinda knew either way there would be a trailer(longer than a minute) at E3

Actually, I don't think this is "leaked" at all.
According to my brother, *rolls eyes*, you can easily search this stuff on yahoo.
I haven't tried it cuz I could care less, but who knows.

According to this page it does look as if there will not be any Brawl video feed.
We'll still probably get one by the end of the Expo. I had access to Nintendo's Press Kit last year, and there was no Smash Bros. video (or information about a video) in the Kit, yet they surprised us with a video on the last day of the show.

I'm thinking they might do the same thing.

Or, maybe they'll just be cockbites and not give us sh*t. =P

Yes, becuase none of this was new. in fact, I've found more new stuff with other sites. This is for the press. Keep in mind more publishers are holding their own small show-offs at numerous hotels. The main show this year is actually outside the actually halls of E3.

Dacvac is correct. I was there last year (but not this year; I'm no longer in the videogame industry as a media professional), and much of the Brawl content they showed was not in the online press kit or the disc-based version.

Nintendo wouldn't allow their 'big gun' announcements to be leaked at this time. If someone did leak real major info, heads would roll. What you're seeing on this press site is meant for mass distribution by media outlets that either have a relationship with Nintendo directly, or Golin-Harris, a PR firm that works extensively with them.

I can say the following with varying degrees of confidence:

Absolutely Certain: You will see these 'media assets' be used primarily by what Nintendo would consider to be 'low priority' to 'medium priority' media outlets. That's most bloggers who managed to wrangle up enough credentials to get into E3, registered gaming publications that primarily operate as websites rather than magazines, etc. You'll see these all over the place in the coming days amongst those groups.

Very Confident: Nintendo will likely not change the logins. Most of the important people handling the Golin-Harris/Nintendo account (both within G-H and Nintendo) are at E3 presently. Not only that, Nintendo is not very concerned if people do obtain this login. Most of the info here is meant to be shown to the masses over the next few days, and most of it is 'low impact' as to both its importance and timing. None of the material on this press kit matches something that they want to precisely time, like the announcement of Snake last year.

Fairly Confident: Major publications (Ziff Davis' magazines and websites, such as EGM and 1up.com, along with other publishers such as Gamespot.com) might get unique, individualized screenshots to work from. Maybe.

Very Confident: Nintendo will have a 'bombshell' to drop on us regarding Brawl, at some point in time they think is ideal to get everyone's attention at E3. It may not have the same impact as the E3 2006 trailer and its Snake announcement, but if they do release something, it will be big. This 'something' will not be in the currently available press kit you are seeing at the website in this thread, if it happens.

So by all means, have fun pillaging their online press kit. Just know that Nintendo probably expected this to happen, and this is more a symbolic way to "stick it ot the man" than any truly major leak.
