List some dumb things you've overheard from friends/schoolmates/tournaments about Brawl and tell us why it's a misconception. This will make for a funny read that may be informative for those who need it. You may also mention mistakes people make against your character when playing.

Misconception - Ike is broken
Reason - Ike is slow, his recovery and spacing can easily be taken advantage of, and he cannot deal well with camping as his approach game is weak. This err comes from experience either in free for all (cheap hit smashes among unaware/occupied/ganged players) or wifi (frame lag is less important in lag).

Mistake - Assuming Marth's fair can reach when it can't.
Reason - People need to go to Marth boards or google and find that hitbox range. It's deceptively not far. I most often kill lesser Marths with anything I want when they fair while moving in and keep moving in though they don't have any power in the situation.

Misconception - MK could do 1,000,000,000,000,000 things all at once
Reason - He has startup and cooldown on all his moves just like every other character

Misconception - You suck because I bodied you in a (wi-fi) match.

Reason - Wi-fi should never be used to measure one's skill level; the input lag from the wi-fi environment makes certain matches very inconsistent. Even an MK can lose badly to a Ganondorf spamming Fsmash if the lag is not only bad enough, but if the MK player in question has little to no wi-fi experience. Considering the lag spikes that occur as well, wi-fi should only be used as a means for sparring, and not for a test of actual skill.
