You can start the move anywhere, it's ending in the right position where you'd land on the ground without popping up, and the right distance away from the edge.

Ic this may come very useful since the only stupid mistakes I make with my Meta Knight is when I drill rush by accident to far off the ledge to grab the edge again. (I always mean to just follow them with the mach tornado to build up damage but I sometimes hold the analogue stick in the right direction in right/ left direction before pressing the b in attempts to control the direction of the mach tornado too early)

But after seeing this it may help me research for new combos.

I've been using that for like... ever. At first, it was on accident. Then I realized that I could do it on command whenever. I tend to use the drill rush to finish off combos, and if the last hit sends them offstage, I cancel it into the edgegrab. I didnt post a vid A) bcz i thought it was common knowledge and B) I dont have any equip w/ me.

But, good find and all, and appreciate the vid.

Yea, Dull Razer and I have similar circumstances, I figured that it was common knowledge and even if I wanted to video it, I couldn't, but I use it to pull out a fast Up B after the Side B, next to the edge. Got some nice kills in that way.

the same thing happens with glide cancelling. Didnt notice this though.
