I like backwards dribble, forward dribble, fsmash, or dsmash.

Any other dribble setups you guys?

Glide tossing itself is like a crappy wavedash, assuming you're talking about glide tossing.
But yes, I like to "dribble" forward and use the forward smash or the down smash.
Occasionally (read: once) I use up smash and use the up aerial attack to finish them off. It kills surprisingly well.

How does one go about forward dribbling? Do you just have to do the shortened glide toss? If so I find it considerably less appealing than the backwards one.

Actually, most people I think at this point say forward dribbling and mean do a forward glide toss (throwing the nana down) and then pivoting and regrabbing the nana, all in one motion. Very precise/difficult.

I know that exists but what is the point unless you want to turn around your single dribble chain or something.

Yeah, that seems like a lot of effort when you could just do the backwards dribble (towards your opponent) considerably faster o_O

But yeah, down glidetoss in any direction is nice.

Spacing is always important.

I would actually say this is on par with wavedashing, afterall you ARE holding a banana.
