Final Fantasy XI is the worst MMO I have ever played in my life, XIV got trashed because it was just as horrible. How do you think DQX will be with that track record?

XI was good back in '02/'03. Now its a horribly outdated piece of nonsense that is only alive by hardcore players who refuse to let go of years of game play.

Yeah, that was like giving false hope there to some.

I'm kind of annoyed how DQ is taking this direction but a DQ MMO also sounds cool.
It really depends if Square can actually pull it off this time. Also it's strange having an MMO for the Wii, tbh.

I'd like to take some time to say somethings about this.

First, XI was okay, and XIV is getting there. Don't hate too bad man.


As for this, this will be an mmo but... hardly? I have a hunch this will be a beefed up DQIX, and in which case, XIV/XI will be 100%mmos while DQ has offline content.

I could be wrong though.

Edit: Hardly any offline. Weird. Well a Wiimmo will...be interesting?

MMOs are much, much less story driven (in most MMOs the story is completely optional). They're much more about creating a social environment and tend to be less about "hear the story, get to the end, beat the final boss" and are more about "run dungeons for better gear so you can run harder dungeons with your friends."

The thing is with MMOs, is that they tend to jump in quality when you're playing them with some bros.

^ Yeah, he hit the nail on the head. Also, MMOS are kinda consuming so you want to limit yourself to 1 really. That's just my opinion though.

Yeah, limit yourself to one. Trust me, juggling MMOs is a bad idea. Just pick one that works for you, play it, enjoy it, but don't be afraid to give something else a shot if that MMO gets boring.

This will probably be a super casual game, as they are making the FFXIV more hardcore. appeal to both sides, eh?
