That's not how it works, at all.
Universal backup simply means I can become any role from a dead Townie, once I make my choice, I lose my original role and become them. I'm now Vegeta, meaning I can kill at Night but I can't change my role.

Besides, I bet I will have done enough by the next Night so if I die, so be it.
