And Smash coming out in Japan in a little over two weeks, there really needs to be a Direct soon. They've got plenty of things to show. We'd like to know more about Splatoon and the new Xenoblade. We'd like to know more about a lot of things. DO A DIRECT. We need at least one more before the whole roster is spoiled for us in SSB.

And the DLC was announced! 3 cheers for Nintendo!

This opens up tons of possibilities for Smash as we can get some really wanted characters who could miss out on the roster.

Plus I think there will be a direct this month by the end (which is right around the corner) to hype up the game again after all the drama, which were the leaks! I look forward to an Isaac reveal.

Maybe Isaac + Ness, heroes of GBA (since today is Earthbound's 20th anniversary)! Both psychic, both awesome! Although Isaac also has a bigass sword and tons of earth shaking moves (and air rending, fire blasting, and ice shattering moves with Djinn), on a much larger scale than anyone so far in Smash!

Anyway Nintendo should now give priority to other franchises rather than including characters from franchises that have already been represented enough.

I quoted the other guys post who said there might DLC for Mario Kart 8 which was just announced today. Not referring to smash for that. But it raises hopes of Smash DLC which might include people who might are not in the final on disc roster.

Definitely not the DLC characters (Aside from Dry Bowser) the community was hoping for. MK8 still doesn't have Diddy Kong or Bowser Jr... And now we have four versions of both Mario and Peach playable in the game. Kinda ridiculous. But, well, it's a good sign I guess. Looking forward to green topaz Luigi and orange bronze Daisy.

Who knows. More characters might come along. Nintendo is probably testing the waters with its DLC. I don't see why really popular and sensible choices for characters can't be added.
