I suggest throwing them out except one. As long as both of you know how to keep the armor piece on your side you should be fine. If you have trouble keeping possesion then throw it away. It really is a nuisance especially when there are a lot of people running around.

I think it depends on partner and their familiarity.

Though I think that you and your partner are the best to discern that. I usually discuss with them beforehand, and will change it up on people in sets (such as throwing all but one off, making a fortress, take one and advance, and in the double ZSS with Crismas, lol 6 armor pieces). And when I teamed with NL on Friday, if he started next to me with Diddy, he'd run and grab a piece for himself.

this.

I partner with the same person in dubz every tourney I go to, so he's good with the pieces (plus he's Ness so he has some good aerial piece pickups). Also, if you're not comfortable with your own suitpieces, then throw them off. If you can't use them in singles for at least one stock, then you aren't gonna be able to use them in doubles.
