Awesome combo vid^^^
Throughout that, it has several shots of Marth Dolphin Slashing as a recovery method, but when he hit the enemy, they hit the stage and bounced to their doom.

Dolphin Slash could be the best edgeguard tool in the game.

If someone is trying to sweet spot from below the edge, the only way to guard is to jump off with them. But only dolphin slash lets you attack AND get the ledge first due to its speed.
If someone is recovering, jump off behind them, up and b to the ledge, and laugh as they ricochet to their doom.

Agree, disagree?

That is really nothing new, you could do the same thing in melee: just walk of the edge and use up-b.

Yeah, but Marth had much better edgeguarding options back then that didn't involve jumping off the stage. Now he doesn't, so this is useful.

And the fact that it has MUCH more knockback this time around.

Can I name this?
If so, I call it the Irae Edgeguard. :p

Or the IEG for short. :D

I've been using this technique against my friends for 3-4 weeks already. I thought it was already known so I stayed quiet lol. It works like a charm, but can be tech'ed.

Yea, it's actually really useful...moreso than it was in melee, because in melee marth had more edge guarding options that didn't require him to jump off-stage. In brawl that's not the case. I've been using this pretty often in brawl.

yeah me and my friends used it in melee only we would d-throw wavedash off the edge and then do it. we called it the cross since he crosses you on his way to the stage and also it kinda makes a cross shape, your opponent hitting the stage and falling down. this is however easily techable and not worth it unless you cross them low below the stage so that they don't even hit off the stage and fall down they simply die from going under the stage and being stunned too long. we also we say crossed or off the backboard spike.sometimes d-thorw doesn't work or you wouldn't need to do it but wave dash backwards always looked cool, i'm gonna miss that.
