Okay so last night I was on For Glory playing as Fox. I get into a match with a guy and he's using Gannon and when the match starts I immediately start shooting lasers and he.....just stands there. He's just standing there taking the hits. He slowly walks towards the edge so my lasers run out of range and I stop shooting and take a few steps foward and start shooting again. He takes a few steps towards me and stops. I just keep shooting. I think it's hilarious. He moves a bit every few seconds so he doesn't get kicked for idling I assume. My finger or my arm gets tired so I keep switching so I stop pressing B like every 10 seconds or so.

He's almost at 300% and then all of a sudden the screen goes black and the "Communication Error" or whatever message pops up. I'm like what the hell? This has never happened before. I've played like 4000+ matches and I've never seen this before. I have only ever been kicked for idling. I cheked the online records and I didn't see anything that says you get kicked for spamming a single attack.

Is this just a random event or can you actually get kicked for spamming a single attack?

to my knowledge you can't get kicked for "spamming" a single move.

what likely happened is he disabled his wifi or something in the home, intentionally to force a communication error so he didn't get banned/kicked or w/e. Sounds more like he just didn't want to bother with a campy falco and when he saw that all you were doing spamming lasers, he toyed with you for a bit, and once he hit 300% he forced the disconnect.

...or it could of just been a legitimate communication error IDK.

I think that you got kicked for idling. I had a similiar experience some time ago. I was Link and I kept keeping my opponent away by using nothing but arrows, I did not even walk. All I did was charge and fire well timed arrows. Then I got D/Ced for idling.

Turns out using you B move does not prevent you from getting D/Ced by idling. I do not know for sure what will, but I think walking and running may prevent you from getting D/Ced by idling. So next time you are spamming your B, try taking a few steps in between now and then.

OP didn't get disconnected for idling. The game tells you when you are. "A communication error has occurred" happens when someone loses connection after an initial connection has been made. Someone's console lost internet access, whether it be intentional or not.

Yeah I know that the game tells you I just thought that maybe he had not read the whole message because he pressed it away with his B spam or W/E because I do not know what else it tells you since it was pretty long ago since I got last kicked for "idling".

I got D/Ced because of errors a lot and to be honest I have found no rhyme or reason to it. Personally I thought that was maybe just because of Nintendo screwing up.

I think it's just a coincidence. You can't get kicked for spamming, more than likely you or your opponent just lost connection at the last minute.

No, that can't get you kicked. You were attacking. Probably just bad luck. And if you did get kicked, you would get a different error than "communication error"

If the DC was on your end, it should appear under your FG statistics (and reveal what kind of DC it was).

I've gotten banned for 10 mins because I force quit out of an online game. Why? My controller didnt work, came to find out it was a bug that had to do with seeing the Mewtwo ad when you boot the game.
