You know, this would be much better suited on the DH or PG. This thread could easily turn into a flame war and get locked in a jiffy. Also, why is it that you believe in God? And are you also a Kenyan, or did you just need to think of a name?

I would say no, btw. ;)

Yep, He basicly enjoys seeing you pain and laughs at him.
 Good times... ;)

Dude even if I explain myself you wouldnt care, you would probably question it and either way I would keep beleiving what I do.

Its a simple yes or no question: Do YOU beleive in god?

(Yes I realize you already answered, just explaining the thread)

Please, please don't make topics about religion in the Pool Room.

Well, there are still rules. There's no "yes or no" topics, since those tend to be spam. In addition to that, this is also a touchy subject, a blog was just closed because some people couldn't control themselves.

But it's not my call.

♥ My post count is my age. Deal with it.

The problem of religion threads is that religion is more than likely a core of someone's belief.
If one were to state his or her self-beliefs a responder can do the following:

  • Acknowledge opinion and go through this maturely and not offensively
  • State "incorrectness" of other person's belief.
  • Flame

If the responder flames or states the person is "incorrect", the person will most likely become quite offended.

The person who is offended will more likely do one of 3:

  • Leave and dismiss the offensive comment
  • Retialiate with some sort of defense
  • Flame

The unfortunate thing is that the cycle continues and more and more people join in and either flame/get flamed.
There is also feeling of discomfort for the minority while in a heated religious thread.

The fire can easily spark.
I suggest you as the OP to take some control and cool any flames that can explode to something much much worse.

my 2 cents on religious threads.
....I'm a believer...
It reminds me of the movie:

Horton Hears a Who!

This is probably too touchy a subject to be discussed. At least, it would probably be better in the Debate Hall.

EDIT: Straked, could you be wrong for once? Pleeease?

EDITEDIT: Flibz, that sounds like pretty broken logic to me. :ohwell:

I might as well make the last few moments this thread has interesting.

I've written in blood, It was a spelling test. 7 minutes left in the hour and my last writing utensil failed me. suddenly, my nose bled. Push came to shove and I ended up writing "continuity" "rocket" and other micelaneas words down. In blood. And I got a 100.......

Half of me says NO!

The other half, a firm MAYBE!

Seriously though, I don't really believe in a God, but there's always a small portion of my mind that scares me into considering that there may be, and that I'm betraying God by not having faith or whatever.

I mean there's so many religions and stories that one of them has to be true lol. But why does God let bad things happen to good people, etc

Here's a quote for youze: "Religion is regarded by the common people as true, the wise as false, and rulers as useful."

As long as a debate isn't started.

I might be agnostic. I might be atheist. Though not sure if I'm christian. Iunno. I think there is a higher being, but I don't want to listen to him. Well, I kind of do. But I'd like to be what I want to be. Unless he really has "a plan" for me. I mean, I need proof though. I guess I'm just not a risk-taker.
If he is there though, and hell exists, well.. just the thoughts make my skin crawl =/

We don't allow religious topics. They tend to spark unfounded arguments, and offend people.

Sorry.
