If i was making DTM4 & rko didn't have his clips by the deadline....
Then i would not accept his clips & move on with the ones that already

So yeah, since I've started editing, I've been experimenting with a lot of things. While I don't want to reveal everything, I do want to get some input from you guys?
What did you think of the last 3 "Do The Mario"s?
What was good about them?
What could be improved?
What do you expect from DTM4?
The input could be as detailed or as general as you want. It can be on anything really. Feel free to PM me. Ultimately I make the final decisions, but I want to hear from everyone as well.
Also rko, how do you want to be named? "rko" "-rko-" etc.

One thing that I'm glad you're dealing with is the differences in the quality if the clips. I hate seeing like 3 crystal clear clips, then someone's grainy one tossed in there.
I like the music for the past 3, but I wouldn't mind some hype, non-Mario themed music too.
I've always valued that each DTM looks different from the others. It was partially due to Bo getting more comfy with editing (I think...) but also the difference in the Mario metagame at the time being reflected in the clips. Half the clips in DTM1 were Dthrow to Uair chains or Utilt chains. Next to none of that in 3. It'd be cool if the new DTM4 had that same freshness to it to set it apart from the others.

Just rko will do, Fire! And about my thoughts on DTM4, I like Coolwhips suggestion on the music on the previous page iirc, so it would be cool if that song is going to be used. What I found cool about the previous DTMs was the way the special effects were used in certain clips, like here in DTM2:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezxr3Th1ams @1:19 & @2:12. And I agree with Matador on the quality part, but seeing your previous work thats not really something we have to worry about.

in the second half of the cv.
DTM2 didn't had mario music in the second half of the video.
Till this day...dtm2 is still da bess of the series.
Remember...these are just thoughts/suggestions to fire.

Totally needs hype music. DTM2 had the best music out of the DTM series, go with something upbeat like that.

Well that's all the thoughts I have. Also, don't have stupid video effects like every other DTM. Most of them were pointless and unnecessary and made it hard to actually see what was going on.

I liked how Bo had custom tags for each player in DTMtriple...I also liked the music...but I picked most of it...but I do feel like we should use some...not mario music...but that's already on lock...

I was thinking about the tags, but I'm not all that artistic. I actually had a couple ideas now that I think about it. In terms of effects, we should be fine.

And the quality of the DTM's wasn't really that great. But since Fire! has been hammering to only send in replays, this will have a good end xd.
I don't really care about the music, unless it's boring. It's all fine. DTM 2 was my favourite, because overall it had the best clip quality iirc.
I expect DTM4 to be mind-blowing, because of the whole organisation already.

I like the slow down effects, the way the music lines up with certain parts, etc. It's really cool to me. And it didn't really interfere with seeing what was happening in each combo IMO.
