DLC Game Modes (and Bosses and Enemies)

I don't know how likely DLC characters and stages are to make me come back to this game after a hiatus from it, nor do I know how likely others would do the same, so I'd say that adding some new modes to the game would be a good idea to keeping the game alive longer. Ideas I have include a Boss Rush (including adding new bosses), a mode similar to Smash Run (and common enemies as well), Break the Targets from the first 3 games, Board the Platforms, and Home Run Contest.

Speaking of bosses and enemies, anybody got any ideas for those?

I'd love to see Rayquaza come back, especially if he can be retroactively added as a Classic Mode boss for some of the Pokémon.

With some tweaking, I think that the Yellow Devil could also become a decent boss. It'd probably be easier than designing a new one from scratch, too.

We could also see Porky Minch and Duon return from Brawl as well, although neither of those would probably be as well known as Rayquaza. I doubt that Petey Pirahna would get added, considering Pirahna Plant's Final Smash, and Tabuu makes more sense being left to his own game.

Rather than an actual boss, I’d like a recreation of that old event match called “The Showdown”. It’s you versus K. Rool, Ridley, Dark Samus, and a giant Simon/Richter in a classic hero vs. villain fight (except Simon isn’t a villain, but he is the prominent 3rd party addition to the game so it’s kinda appropriate).

I'd love a Boss Rush, that'd be my first hope for any added mode. The classic modes would be good, too, but I'd like a chance to fight Dracula again with any of the characters.

Yeah, and the same can be done for Mumkhar and the Dark Emperor.

Home Run Contest with the tradition of improving itself from the previous entry.

In Melee, there are no walls to block the sand bag from going anywhere while you're damaging it before smashing it with the bat.

In Brawl, walls are added but they break if they're hit too many times.

In Smash 4, the walls don't break until you smash the sand bag with the bat.

If Home Run Contest returns in Ultimate, my idea is this:

The timer does not start until the sand bag receives any sort of damage, similar to how the timer in Target Blast doesn't start until you touch the bomb.

Speaking of Dracula: If we get a Boss Rush mode, I'd like it if he got some dialogue (he seems like the kind of guy who should have dialogue, yet he doesn't). :shades:

Dracula: “What is a man? A miserable pile of secrets!”
K. Rool player: Ummmmmmm... (K. Rool himself would agree with Dracula if TV Tropes' Tropes Pantheon is to be believed. He'd still take offense at being lumped in with “filthy primates”.)
Kirby player: :rotfl:
Player using a Pokémon character:

I'd definitely like to be able to fight common enemies through something like Smash Run - and series specific enemies rather than the weird OCs they had in the Subspace Emissary.

As for bosses, it'd be ideal if every series which could have a boss (so excluding stuff like Wii Fit or Animal Crossing) had at least one. Not gonna list every series as I'm not familiar with a lot of them, but if I were to come up with 10
1. Rayquaza (Pokemon
2. Lord Fredik (Donkey Kong)
3. Porky (Earthbound)
4. DJ Octavio (Splatoon)
5. Plasm Wraith (Pikmin)
6. Hades (Kid Icarus)
7. Metal Gear REX (Metal Gear)
8. Dr. Eggman (Sonic)
9. The Golden Diva (Wario)
10. Sephiroth (but good luck getting Square on board)

I personally would love Smash Run to come back, as well as adding a new Boss Mode.

As for bosses, Rathalos is the only boss in the game from a franchise not represented by a playable character (Monster Hunter). So I've been thinking: why not Ornstein and Smough from Dark Souls? They'd be an interesting duo to work with, and how quickly you beat them would depend on how good you are at Perfect Shielding.

I'd also love Necrozma to be a three-phase boss. He starts in his Base form, but the next phase would be different: he'd transform into either Dusk Mane Necrozma if you've mostly landed normals on him, or Dawn Wings Necrozma if you've mostly landed Specials on him. Final Phase would be Ultra Necrozma, who would have his Z-Move, Light That Burns The Sky, as a move that you have to interrupt by beating the everloving crap out of him.

Modes: Break the Targets. As DLC, the fighters should have different stages. LIttle Mac can pull a Game & Watch and just play on Boxing Ring.

Bosses: Mother Brain, Emperor Bulborb, and maybe Grima.

I've always wanted Hades as a character because he's hilarious in Uprising (and it'd increase the chances of us seeing a sequel within the next 20 years), but making him a Boss would actually be a really solid choice. He has a lot of interesting abilities he could use if unconstrained by fighter balance, although the loss of speech would rob him of his most defining aspects.

Sephiroth would be really interesting to see as a non-huge boss if Square Enix didn't have so many problems with representation.

Actually, I came up with an AC boss once: A T-Rex skeleton.

As for other bosses, I'd like to see Mumkhar, cloned Ridley (the one that appeared in the Pyrosphere is actually a clone of Ridley), the Yellow Devil, and the Dark Emperor get revamped boss fights (such as fighting both Mumkhar himself and his Metal Face mech). I'd also like to see all the bosses from the previous games return (including all Master Core forms). For new bosses, I'd like to see Andross (with three phases: His Krazoa God face (which would act like his AT incarnation), his floating head-and-hands form, and his brain form), Grima (complete with his version of Robin), Eggman and the Death Egg Robot (with a phase of him using his floating carrier or Egg Walker), King Hippo, Sigma (with his normal form and his final giant form; maybe even add in his Reaper form as his first phase), Mad Jack from DK 64, Giovanni using several Pokemon as his phases, the Titan Dweevil from Pikmin 2, the Game & Watch Octopus, a giant Nintendog and/or Nintencat (like the ones seen in the Living Room stage), one of the bosses fought in the microgame "Dungeon Dilemma), and a boss from Super Paper Mario or the Thousand-Year Door.

I'd also enjoy Hades as a boss, since he can easily make me laugh. XD
