camping is just staying in one place, basically we don't have to approach, the only thing that forces us to approach are projectiles, you have one.... but it's not that good, and pretty punishable. so if we can establish that every time you don't approach, you'll get punished for it (by upb prolly). eventually you'll have to approach. you can camp us if you're ahead, but we can just poke you from a safe distance until we can camp.

This.
I play a solid DK player at school who has to counter pick Marth since I can combo and spike him so well. The only problems I seem o have with his DK is that he can just kill me at low % if I am not careful, other then that you need to play very defensively and get him off the edge, being careful to stay above him.

So... DK can camp Kirby forcing him to approach because Kirby's projectile isn't good...

I guess DK's projectile game is just that much better.

I'm not going to lie, I haven't played and or seen much of the competitive Brawl scene in several months, so I'm not going to make any solid comments on this matchup until I've had a chance to reacquaint myself with the game, but I will say that T!MMY makes a strong point. If DK can camp Kirby due to lack of a good projectile, Kirby can camp DK just as well if not better due to his lack of ANY projectile.

i fight my friend veggi all the time(he mains dk, fyi ^.^) and they are really fun but, he never camps...
besides kirby has some beastly pokes 2....

I disagree. I would go as far as 70-30 maybe 65-35.

Why? Because we have combos on you. We can also spike you very easily. I also think the fact you are so much bigger helps us camp and not so much you. We can quickly approach with bair and get out. DK is much slower and bigger than kirby. I don't see how this will help you camp. Because, as I said, we have a better chance of just poking than you because you are so slow. I guess Super Armor could help but I feel Kirby has the upper hand.

Sure, UpB is punishable. But you just said you would camp. If you are camping and we use UpB and you come to punish us, you aren't really camping. So it is punishable but you won't have a chance to punish it because you are camping. Right?

No. How will you punish us? We at least have some sort of projectile that can cause you to move. Your range isn't big enough to just poke us. And again, you are so slow that if you do hit us, we can easily counter because we are faster. And you can camp all you want. It's not very smart. Defintely because If you go Bair I'm pretty sure we can crouch and dodge it. And to my knowledge Bair is your best aerial. If you camp with smashes, you won't win because they are so slow.
