Tandora is the only player in this game that I believe 100% to be town. That doesn't necessarily make her right, mind you. But her argument is very sound, accompanied with a very interesting revelation--and it holds what I think is the proof that she's town.

There's no reason she would admit this, except because she was going for full disclosure. Admitting that she didn't notice part of her role PM wouldn't be necessary if she was lying or just trying to make Soup look bad. Once you accept that she's telling the truth about being town, the rest falls into place. Even Soup doesn't deny that they're neighbors--and doesn't deny his plan to lie to town to get scum-hunting off himself. Why would he need to do all that if he was town to begin with? Cooking up an elaborate lie when you've got a couple of votes on you is a huge scumtell.

This also weirdly dispels my last worry about DH being scum, just by numerical consideration. I disagree with Tandora's scum picks, but only a little. I think that Soupamario/JTB/RR is a much more likely group, and I think that if JTB flips scum today, we need to seriously be after Soup tomorrow based on this new information. It's good that we waited to lynch him since it got us this information today instead of tomorrow, but after that, why are we waiting any longer? It's clear at this point that JTB's not going to offer any sort of defense for himself.

tl;dr: JTB is scum, and so are Soupamario and RedRyu

I feel bad about this whole thing, really, but we have to keep on trying. To start off, why did DH live through the night with a power role? Even a crappy one? Why did Gheb live through the night when he was pushing a leader position? I'm not confident enough in either of them to vote yet, considering how badly that went the last time, but I'm definitely suspicious.
As an experienced player, Gheb has a habit of making me feel like I don't know what the heck I'm doing. His positions are stated so confidently that it's very hard to be able to post against him, from where I'm standing. I don't really like being told "no, your stance is bad", but at this point--with half the people playing saying that--I can't really take that as a scum attack on a good idea. I can only acknowledge that my annoyance with RF's posting style somehow isn't anti-town, though I'll admit I still can't see why that is. Gheb's early attempt to be game-leader grates on my nerves, but that's entirely a personal thing and not related. I guess overall, I've got a town vibe from Gheb, but I'm not sure how much that means. :glare:
Pathetic attempts to distance Gheb while not calling him scum.

Remember his case on us? It was held together with chewing gum and paper clips. He was trying what he thought would be an easy wagon on a player that was being seen as "unhelpful."

And everyone remembers his "100% town read" on Tandora for NO EXPLICABLE REASON. Something about being able to read her and IRL meta. Their play doesn't add up.

Hida is the lynch today. RR or J/Glyph if we're wrong. Smarboy, whatever you got from that scum lynch, use it tonight because we have no way to track how long you'll be around.

Way to push on me, RF. Don't have a lot of time to post right now, so I hope I'm not lynched before I have a chance to put together a case tomorrow morning/afternoon. I still say the third scum is RR. So for now:

I didn't get to post again after my confession, so I wanted to address a few posts from D2 before dealing with D3. The following two posts are from Gheb questioning my claim.

Don't see why Soup should full claim? Most of Tandora's post could easily be lies and a lot of it can't be confirmed without getting somebody else modkilled.

Tandora, answer this please: Do you think Soup's assumed scumbuddies would be OK with the way he's playing and acting? Even though it's WIFOM the risk for playing like Soup does is a lot bigger than the potential reward. Don't you think he'd try to be a bit more subtle about his manipulations? Did you actually think through your claims and your theories before revealing them to the open? I have my doubts about it to be honest.

I'm curious for Soup's full response but I'm highly skeptical towards Tandora's claim.

:059:
Well, with Soup's explanation matching [and I also believe the Zidane - Vanilla confusion-thing] I don't see why him and Tandora would lie about it at the same time. The question is how Tandora will react to his response because the neighbor status obviously doesn't clear him for her [and vice versa]. My main concern is people like smar giving Tandora the free pass upon her claim and allowing her to continue coasting like she did for the most part under the pretext of the "boring" vanilla role PM. That won't fly with me and none of Tandora's input has given us anything to work with in terms of scum hunting. I still think she's scum.

:059:
Notice after I claim, he focuses on me as scum instead of Soup. Is this because Soup is his scummate or because he knows after I flip town it would make Soup look worse and easier to lynch?

So, Soupa, what do you think of Tandora's claim that you claimed Roxpsi's character?

Tandora, why didn't you start pressuring him earlier today? Why did you claim now?
I claimed as soon as I saw his Zidane claim on QT. He had originally given me his clue before the flip - aka fast and brave. I had guessed Zidane. Then almost a week had passed and Roxy had already flipped as Zidane before he claimed that he was indeed Zidane.

I thought about trying to talk to him more privately, but after some internal debate decided that no matter what he said to me at that point I wasn't going to believe him.

I could have forgiven the Zidane claim IF it had happened before Roxy's flip, but after? What the hell?

The irony is that Onion Kid makes sense to be my neighbor given the name of our QT since we are both knight type characters. I want to clarify with Seph before I give the name.

@Tandora, you said that Soup hinted that his character was fast and brave BEFORE Roxy flipped Zidane. I assume those are the character attributes of Zidane, but why would soup crumb those to you if he was actually the Onion Knight and he could not have known about Zidane pre-flip?
Realistically fast and brave describes many FF heroes. Hell, brave describes all of them sooner or later. It wasn't really a meaningful clue at all.

Jeremy, you listed Soup as one of your other possible scum picks. Why focus on Red Ryu instead of him?

I'm conflicted because I find it extremely unlike that Soup and Gheb were on the same faction, but I don't like how often and unnecessarily Soup has lied. And how bad his lies are.

Gheb points out that Soup's behavior is probably not something scummates would encourage but at the same time most scum teams barely communicate. And it seems weird how he can post so much here but never tried to find out more about me in our QT. I felt I was the one asking information to see if we could trust each other while he pretty much did nothing but act crazy here.

I think the killer is I'm starting to doubt Jiremi myself. There's things that are off about his play. I don't like his first post of D2, it reeks of scum. And there's this distinct lack of frustration in his posts that I'm used to seeing. I don't know if it's a scum tell or sign of growth as a player.

Also, I had made a note to myself that if Jiremi flipped scum, then it was likely that Glyph was town. Considering that both confirmed scum really pushed hard for Glyph, it makes me wonder if Jiremi is not scum too.

Once upon a day phase bleary, while Hida cried, weak and weary
Over many a scumbuddy killed upon gallow and in gore
Suddenly there came a tapping, as of someone gently rapping, rapping at his chamber door
"Sir" He cried "Who is this at my chamber door?"
Images of demons and worse, dragging him to an early hearse
Striking fear into his core, he stopped to listen some more
A sudden silence, and nothing more.

Wrongly deciding this idea to spurn, he saw the handle start to turn
As the golden handle glistened his frowning head turned to listen
Turned to hear a flirt and flutter mixed with a piercing laughter
Beguiling a sneered reputation stood a figure with a curious diction
Two grins mocking him he felt drained of all conviction,
For mocking him like an infliction, was the self titled Radical Fiction

"But good Fiction, I am not you enemy!"
But the Fiction, ever mocking, still is quothing, still is quothing
Over the the claims of "But good Fiction, I am not your enemy!"
Still is quothing, ever mocking "Dayvig: HidaJiremi"

@ Mod why hasn't Hida been DayVigged?
Because you're a lying liar who lies constantly?

Because

of this right here. With RR as my other scum pick, he's the one I'm focusing on. I was on him for a while the previous day, but I got pulled off him by Gheb's arguments, which makes him look suspicious to me. Also, if you want to base me pushing for Glyph as a scum tell, then you really need to look at

We really want to look at Glyph today.
as well. As far as I can tell, they never gave a reason for that.

And there's this distinct lack of frustration in his posts that I'm used to seeing. I don't know if it's a scum tell or sign of growth as a player.
I'm just plain tired. No matter how I try to play, someone is on my back about it. I don't mind being criticized, but being mocked actually pisses me off. And if I'm pissed off, I'm really just not having fun. If I sound like I'm not as frustrated as usual, it's because I'm just distancing myself from the whole thing. Certain players have convinced me that forum mafia is probably not for me in the future. I'm going to keep trying in this game, but I think part of me didn't expect to live through last night, since people keep bandying my name around and we have a vig. =/

If only if you used that wit for good instead of trolling. =/

Ok, after thinking about my reread, I'm inclined to say I don't think Jiremi and Gheb are on the same team. Why would Gheb prod "Are you sure?" over and over to me if Jiremi was his partner? It would seem to me that he would not want to bring extra attention to Jiremi possibly being scum.

I still need to do a reread on RR, because as far as I'm concerned, it's between him and Soup. And Soup's play has just been...hairpulling at best.
