dimensional landing

- some frames start in the slide so the atack comes a bit faster out.
- if wea re good going with this we can space our dsmash tipper better.
- more range.

today i found a small litle trick/tech that will slide you a bit backwards while doing an atack.
I decided to make a topic about this new trick/tech so what i posted earlier will not get lost in the social thread (get left behind as posts go on)

at the moment im really in a experimintal phase with this trick/tech so il keep you guys up to date and hope u can help me.

how to do:
jump backward's OR cancelled upB OR upB
when landing hold opposite direction
do an attack ( the longer you wait the longer the slide) dont wait to long or gaw will be in a walking animation

some more chars can do this but gaw is the best in this beacuse he slides when he lands (you can see it in1/4 speed in training mode when you jump backwards) so iv decided to call it dimensional landing .

i hope some more people are going to experiment with this so we can maybe get more out of this

i hope this help's the future gaw metagame

i love this tech, ive actually done it a couple of times before without actually realizing what it was lol

after messing around with it myself, i figure i would throw my 2cents and contribute to this thread. this is what i came up with:

im sure if people have messed with D.L. already they could figure this stuff out themselves. the first clips from smashville where i drop down and use up-b to turtle back on stage is something i use every now and then. im not sure if its a good thing to do so i would like others opinions on that one.

looking good =)! i like the fullhop fair to D.L and the platform walk off!

i did already know about the bair on stage trick you can also:

Drop> bucket (turn) >upB :) i use it for mix ups!

<3's kaak, but I now have a question:

Could this have a(nother) practical use after using D-throw in a techchase situation? I sometimes d-throw into chasing with bair/nair, but I realize that it may be possible to d-throw -> jump away (with your back to them) -> DI back (on reaction to their movement) and use this(DL) to potentially land some attack (certainly dtilt, maybe other stuff?).

The idea would be to trick them into rolling away to be punished by something (using DL). Does this seem potentially useful to anyone else?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, your attack comes out faster, and you can get them wherever they move. I think I'll have to try it out some time.
