DI'ing Fox Uair

I really find the most useful technique of fox is his Up-Grab -> Uair
He has it on almost every character on the game.
Poor Marth can eat like 3 Uairs in low damage.

Now... if you play against the computer, it DI's perfectly away from the second hit.
A friend told me you had to press towards Fox's back, but it didn't work.
Whats better, SmashDI or ASDI? Where do I have to point at? use both sticks? :S

plz help, that would lighten very much any matchup against fox.

I know computers are computers, but I would really like to know which is the correct thing I have to do, to try at least xD.

I think you just use the first hit to ASDI away from the second hit. You can use the control stick to ASDI and then use the c-stick to SmashDI once the first hit makes contact.

I'm sorry I'm not very good with typing lingo. What does :S mean. If you're referring to SmashDI you have to SmashDI down and ASDI away.

As M2K says (paraphrase), if you're playing a good fox then you will always get hit (at least) once from the uair after an uthrow. I haven't actually perfected DI from fox's uthrow myself. I seem to avoid the 2nd hit, but I'm not sure exactly what I do. hmmm

At low percentages, against a good fox you will most likely always eat the first upair. However, you should never get hit by the second, since you should be di'ing in one direction during the first up air, and when he goes in for the second you should DI the other way. Since he has to travel horizontally to hit you, di'ing the other way will cause him to miss the second hit of the upair. When you are at middle % unless your playing someone like M2k, you can usually DI up and smash DI the first hit left or right. If you DI'd left or right during the upthrow instead I think it is possible to smash DI the opposite direction that your traveling when he hits the first hit of the upair.

thx, i knew that in low % it's impossible to DI them, but my question really was at middle or high :p

It's very hard to DI fox grab because it comes too fast :p, unless you predict it, and then..., its better to dodge. But if any character manages to DI backwards it's very hard to land even the first hit of fox Uair.

But when he sends you straight up, thats the problem xD.

So your saying I should ASDI with the Control Stick and SmashDI with the C-Stick?

what direction is better to smash DI? against Fox's Back or his front part?(only when your sent upwards).
the idea for this thread is for people to know what is the BEST option against that freaking killer easy combo.

If your sent straight upwards, it doesn't matter where you smash DI I think as the 2nd hit is pretty much dead on center. I tend to try to DI behind them, since if I manage to pull of the DI before they throw, they have a slim chance of messing up during the turn around animation. And If I get thrown straight up I normally try to smash DI whichever direction I remember to hit in time heh.

I don't use the c-stick enough for DI to really make a good estimate on which you should be di'ing up with and which you should be smash DI'ing with. I tend to only use the control stick for now.

When fox is about to uair me I don't DI away. Instead, I down-b (counter) to knock fox back while he lands with lag, unless they teched.

Sorry, when I said away I was referring to horizontally. I usually both ASDI and SmashDI towards the back so I can avoid getting hit by the second hit.
