Ok people, so I'm starting!

POKéMON FIRE-RED NUZLOCKE RUN! :pt: :diddy: :ivysaur:

-After a short introduction to the series which FireRed and LeafGreen love to throw at you (dude, I bought this game so I could get Mewtwo to my Ruby, I KNOW THIS ****) here I meet this fellow Oak, who's glad to meet me.

Well, samewise here. I hope you can contain your orgasms when I'm gonna beat the Elite 4 however.

-I take it your a veteran of sorts? I still give him credits for having a Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle though.

-So you're Oak? Cool. Glad you can remember your name at least, you self-absorbed *******. I'm gonna have a lot of fun naming your grandson. Oh, and apperantly he's refered to as the POKéMON PROFFESOR. Cool beans. Wouldn't have guessed otherwise. (Oh I hope I won't get punished for my sass later on.)

-'This world...' Yeah, kinda figured that out. Cool magic tricks you got there. Not sure how that Pokémon fits into that ball, but then again, it could probably Morph Ball, or something right? :samus2: I want one. Also, apperantly, some use them as pets, others to battle. Well, hope not too many die on me this run... He also says he likes to study them as a proffesion. He's probably getting mad paid.

-Let's not get too personal now okay?

-I can tell you might not've researched humans a lot. Then again, your probably sending me on this quest anyway to bang my mom.

- So, change in structure here, I'll be playing as a dude, and name him Diddy. Well yeah, it looks closer than the Female Trainer and Impa anyway. So it works.

-Meanwhile, this dude... Yeah, D-I-C-K-S was the original plan, but I decided to step my game up.
Just like that

-Yes. Definitely. Luckily the proffesor remembers this quickly. Good. Had enough of this nonsence. As if his pants didn't give it away.

-Well, that escalated quickly. I'm a legend already baby! Now let's do this! I'll make those pants creamier than any champion you ever raised!

This was originally posted in the Social Smash 4 speculation thread. Due to it being off-topic, I decided to create my own thread for this Nuzlocke run.

Starter of choice will be Bulbasaur. Dedicated to member Swampasaur's birthday yesterday. Also, he's kind of easy mode, as he can't get poisoned. I hate it when that happens. Also, I will be double posting, so if anyone thinks that's a problem... They better get this thread like, super popular or something.

Awesome.
I'm glad you didn't post this in the Social backroom, as I don't have access to there.

I like reading Let's Plays and Nuzlockes sometimes, so I'll be following this if I'm interested.

-Chilling in my room as of now. Last time I remembered checking it, it was a SNES, and not a NES. But whatever. It's a recession anyway.

Will be doing smaller updates as of now. You all know the drill anyway. Also, definitely picking up that potion from the PC. Why? Cause I can, and I don't want any deaths on my name.

-Well, that's true. Yet, here I am, age 23 playing this game in my mother's house. At least this dude got a job, or is about to. Which in all actuality, I could be spending my time searching for one as well. Red is supposed to be like 10 right? A part of me is actually jealous. Ahhh well, all the more time for Oak to father a potential steph-child I guess.

- We all know this story by now. Cool, now take me to your lab and let's get it on!

-Mr.Purple Pants was fed up with waiting apperantly. I'll show him in a few minutes who's boss though.

-Easy to raise? Well, we'll see on that. The little dude is quite underrated though. I will miss the insane crit % on Razor Leaf, but at least you won't die by poison on me. Now for a nickname!

-Would you look at that?? It's a girl! Well, I couldn't think of a better suitable name. So PurpleHaze it is! Can't wait till you're matured little Bulbasaur! :awesome:

-It's on now *****!

-And they said Bulbasaurs where easy to raise!? He inclicted the first blow on the first turn, all others where started by me. We have an equal chance of winning this. Meanwhile PurpleHaze is bleeding heavily cause of the Scratches this Charmander has inflicted on her. I'm NOT gonna take any risks now...

-Used the Potion on PurpleHaze. Yeah, I'm a *****, but at least my Pokémon lives. I ain't losing to luvDICK... Not this time!

-Wisest decision ever! Got to tank 2 Scratches before I could land the final blow. Don't feel so bad Charmander, at least you ain't dying! This was a ROUGH first battle, luckily I survived this. Am proud of my little PurpleHaze already! Now it's time to pay up, lover of *****.

-Not bad for a first level up either I thought? Even though I'll probably be needing Attack a bit more now for the next couple levels, a boost in Special Attack is nice when I finally learn Vine Whip. Or will Bulbasaur learn Leech Seed beforehand? Well, both are useful, I don't really care much. Speaking of, I haven't checked PurpleHaze's nature yet.

Got some nice $80,- from luvDick though. It would've probably been used on hard gay porn by him, so it's not so bad we take from him.

-PurpleHaze has a Quiet nature. Quite fitting, and not bad for a Bulbasaur at all. At least now I know she won't be the speediest around. Will have to make you a Special Attack based tank / staller of sorts. Leech Seed will definitely stay in my moveset for a while. All potential Pokémon I might across now are probably gonna be faster. Pidgey, Rattatta, Mankey, Nidoran, Pikachu, Weedle, Caterpie, they all have evolutions that are gonna be much faster. So I ain't even worried.

Will be playing for a bit, posting again when I'll catch my first Pokémon!

First battle is essentially just luck-based in outspeeding your opponent. Either way, nice job, and don't forget to pick up the potion from the person on Route 1.

Thanks bro! Yeah, I almost got my PurpleHaze killed in the first battle! :urg: Luckily it has Leech Seed now at level 7. It's close to level 8 now. Got to take Oak's Parcel in the PokéMarkt in Viridian City, and am now close to brining it back. Encountered couple of Rattata's and Pidgey's in Route 1, so I'm not able to catch a Pokémon from that Route anymore. Will be getting 5 Pokéballs soon, so that'll at least promise me of something soon.

Also, thanks for the tip OcarinaOfDoom! I got the Potion!

-Free items are always good.

PurpleHaze's stats at the moment:

-She's kind of slow, but all other stats are more than decent. I think this girl will proof to be very, very vallueable in my journey.

I'm calling him luvD-I-C-K on suggestion of ManlySpirit. He wanted to call him D-I-C-K-S out of tradition, I decided to add an extra flavor to tradtion. :D And I wanted to call myself Diddy, so I choose the male trainer. I always liked the male Kanto trainer more than the female trainer.

Anyways, made some progress:

-This is the last time I'm playing delivery boy for you though gramps!

-And this is where it all starts... Again.

Be picking up those Pokéballs from the scientist dude, and begin my hunt for my very first Pokémon! Will be checking out the route that leads to the Victory Road first. Higher chance on a Mankey or Nidoran there. Those are definitely 2 Pokémon I'd really hope to encounter and use. Otherwise, finding a Pikachu in Viridian Forest would also be awesome! :pikachu2: Can't expect to be lucky though.

- luvD-I-C-K isn't affraid to put me on my place. Yeah dude, go catch all those Pokémon and do your thing. I'm only concerned about beating your ass to the ground, and make sure you won't kill any of my Pokémon.

Oh no, I'll definitely take breaks! Might be playing till I enter Pewter City, and have to challenge Brock. Which will be quite easy one I learned Vine Whip, which should in the next couple of levels.

Entering Route 22!

-About to catch my first Pokémon. Not even playing now, just updating as I play, which makes it all the more exciting for me. Oh boy how I hope it's a Mankey or Nidoran. Preferably Mankey, as I already know a awesome nickname for it.

-Encountering something! Ohh God, please be a Mankey, please be a Mankey!!

- HOLY!!!

My prayers have been answered! THANK YOU ARCEUS!

-All went according to plan! Quite the sence of fulfillment. Exactly the Pokémon I wanted to have right now. Hopefully it'll be a little speedy, am gonna need one. As for a nickname:

-Not the most suitable name for a female, but I like the name Hanky. And since we're family, you get to carry Kong as a surname. Cool yeah? Let's hope you're either +Speed or +Attack natured.

Turns out Hanky has a Bold nature. +Defence, -Attack. By far not the most favorable. Actually, one of the worst possible. But hey, at least got my Mankey! Gonna train her a little now in Route 1 till at least level 8.

Mankey is a good catch, but now you gotta watch out for flying types. Gust/Peck could beat your team at this point, especially if you get a bug in Viridian.

-One thing, this is tough for sure. Hanky is at critical health here now. Almost lost her here, for a damn lvl 3 Pidgey! At least she can Low Kick now.

This is true. Which is why a Pikachu at this point is the best thing I could encounter in Viridian Forest. It'll likely not happen, but am very aware of this weakness. This is also why I'm waiting to challengde luvD-I-C-K yet again. His Pidgey will Peck PurpleHaze and Hanky to death at this point.

Yeah, Hanky and I will get along well I think. :chuckle:

She's Level 8 now to.

Also, encountered a new buddy!

Based him on the suggestion of Capps, Scrabbers. Eventually, he was named Scrabz. Yeah, it'll do.

Hope I won't end up killing you little buddy.

Entering Viridian Forest now:

Hanky Kong is now lv 9
PurpleHaze is still lv 8, but will be using it a lot in here. Am scared ****less to lose Hanky cause of Poison Point.
Scrabz is still lv 4. Will probably go back to Route 1 to train it a little bit.

Also already found a new buddy, meet: Boom Draw!

Why is it that every Pokémon I name after my smoking habits has a Quiet nature? Ah well, hope you'll survive and may become a Butterfree once. I heavily need one right now.

Training Boom Draw is a little more difficult than expected. Luckily it's just 3 levels till I get a more sturdy Metapod...

Instead of making him fight pidgey's, why not have him out at the beginning of the battle and switch to a higher level pokemon. That way he gets half the EXP and takes no damage

I'm doing that a lot now. Still, am now making Boom Draw handle small enemies, like lv 2~3 Rattatas and Pidgeys. Which is still very risky. I really need to level PurpleHaze more. I should be ashamed she's only level 8 at this point, while Hanky is already level 9.

Also, I'm allowed to use Pokémon I get as present or find right? Like Eevee and Lapras?

You've gotten somewhat lucky in terms of encounters actually. You should be fine for most of the early game, and Surge is much easier with Diglett's Cave right there.

edit: Presents are fine, but only 1 per city. I think Eevee is in the same city as the Game Corner, so you couldn't get both a Game Corner Pokemon and Eevee for example.

Did you already go to the part leading to victory road and fight your rival?

You could find a nidoran there

This is the same Route where I found my Mankey, Hanky Kong. Yeah, a Nidoran would've been nice to, but am glad that I did got my Mankey in the end. Even though she's Bold natured, I'll treasure Hanky Kong the Mankey as a valluable part of my team's offence.

Haven't yet fought luvD-I-C-K for the second time. Gust scares me... I need to properly level my Pokémon first. Right now, that Pidgey alone could kill either PurpleHaze, Hanky, or Boom Draw. Scrabz is still level 4, haven't used him that much yet. Not sure if I will use him in the end. Raticate is still rather frail, and it takes a long time for Rattata to evolve.

Never knew that. Hope I'll find one there then, instead of yet another Pidgey or Rattata.

Also, my first Pokémon evolution!

Boom Draw is rolling herself up to become a Metapod.

We Metapod now!

Am a little more confident in her survival now. Still will be hit for super effective damage against Weedles though, so might even fully evolve her in a Butterfree, so I atleast have a strong Pokémon for a while I can 100% depend on.

Just as a little tip, Metapod actually loses defense when it evolves in Butterfree. (55 Base defense to 50)

Well, that's where Hanky comes in with his Low Kicks, and then most likely Karate Chops. Even though I'm FAR MORE worried about Misty at this point. Does her Starmie know any Psychic moves?

Try and get a tauros in the Safari zone.

He was known as "The king of RBY"

...however impossible that may be

Edit: BUT your playing gen 3 aren't you...

He wasn't that good in gen 3

Ohh great! I got no worries then! By then, PurpleHaze should be a Ivysaur, and should have no problem with Misty ^^

This is the thing I was so scared about... A level 9 Pidgey. Hey, those things ****ing PECK and throw tornadoes... Let's see how a Karate Chop will do!

BOOM! DOWN YOU GO! DOWN YOU GO!

Hanky, I love you!

Now for something more serious... Those Embers will probably hurt.

No Ember in sight though, and barely got Scratched! luvDICK says I lucked out, which is half true. But I could probably tank his Pidgey's Gust or Peck anyway with Hanky. Why? Cause Hanky is awesome like that! Thusfar she's a little more trustworthy in offence than PurpleHaze, but will be training that one more from now.

Speaking of the Safari Zone, I'm hoping to find a Rhyhorn in there. Rhydon would really help a lot. He's always good. At worst, I'll end up with a Nidoran. But please, no Paras...

I'm in serious need of a Electic Type. It's one of my favorite Pokémon types ever, but am not sure who I'll get. The chance between Pikachu or Magnemite is like, 50 / 50 in the Power Plant. I'd like Raichu, but Magneton probably not so much, even though he'd be cool for a change I guess. Still, it's gonna take a while till I get there. Jolteon is probably the earliest I can get at this point. Also, a reliant Water Type would be cool to.

I know, but that's where PurpleHaze comes in ;)

Speaking of, she got quite a good level up just now:

The RNG Goddess would be pleased.

That extra 3 Special Attack comes in handy for her new move: Vine Whip. Yeah, this Bulbasaur can do her tether recovery now!

New addition to the team, found in Route 2:

Dat Ain't Falco!

Shamefully, he's no Nidoran either.

Entering Pewter City now. Brock, I'm coming for your badge!

Found the gym again, healed up in the PokéCentre first. Here I meet this dude who asks me if I DARE of becoming the Pokémon champ. YO G, GUESS WHAT? Professor Oak already told me I AM gonna become the champ. CAN'T DENY PROPHECY! I'll be walking out here without even running out of PP of Vine Whip biatch. :reverse:

4 uses of Vine Whip later, I beat everything in sight in the Pewter Gym. Yeah, didn't really expect any opposition here. Onix only used Bind once, being faster than PurpleHaze is now. But damn Onix, ARE YOU EVEN TRYING?

So, that was quite easy. Think I'll have an easy time till I get to Lt.Surge. Then again, I'll probably have a Diglett by then, so there'll be no worries there to. Hmm, Celladon City might proof to be a challenge? But I might also use Flareon for that, or Growlithe / Arcanine. Ah well, am enjoying this thus far.

Hanky will now also be able to make tombs out of rocks. Which is cool, no longer do I have to fear Pidgeys! Or Charmanders for the matter. Time to put you up to use again little buddy!

Scrabz and Dat Ain't Falco probably will be benched in the PC.

So that's how it's done? No wonder that you're forgetting moves... Am sorry Hanky. At least you'll be able to throw rocks now. Which is probably useful.

So, Scrabz and Aint Falco are boxed. Will raise Boom Draw for a while till she evolves, and a bit more. Wanna get them all around lvl.15 if I can before Mt.Moon. PurpleHaze will probably evolve before that, unless I don't use her, which is unlikely. Hopefully my quest for a Nidoran will be fruitful.

Will take a break for a while. Thanks for the support thus far!

Restarting the journey again! First step was getting some Poké Balls. 5 should be more than enough. There isn't much worth to catch around here anyway, unfortunately.

Now that we're done, we ain't got any business around here anymore. Lets leave this dirty old town!

Adventure awaits at Mt.Moon! Or is it just Zubats? Or possibly both? My money is on Zubats. Am gonna count them for ya! There's also this nerdy looking guy over there who will give me something I've desired for SO long...

Yeah, running shoes. Nothing else. But damn, did I long for these. Makes travelling a lot easier. Also a heart warming note from mom. She still claims Professor Oak is 'just the neighbor, nothing more, nothing less either tee hee'. Seriously, am glad I'm just 10 years old here, otherwise I'd freak THE **** out.

Route 3 is full of Pokémon Trainers, but we ALL KNOW, that this dude, Joey is the most badass of them all. Here he stands, undaunted by my appearance while just beating all the other Trainers to pulp with Hanky's Rock Tomb.

For the reference, when I mean Rock Tomb, Hanky actually hits them with a tombstone made of rock. Why? Cause that's totally badass.

Ohh, it's BEN now?

Right, riiiiiiiiiiiightttt... Anyways, let's bring it on!

His Rattata was no challenge for Karate Chopping Hanky the Mankey. But this might proof to be a bigger challenge... Intimidate cuts down Hanky's already low Attack power (which is caused by her Bold nature), so I'll just have to rely on Rock Tomb a lot. Pray that I won't get poisoned!

Ekans wasn't too tough after all. Two times a hit with Rock Tomb, a Scratch and finally a Karate Chop took care of him easily. All he could do is Wrap, and Leer. Why where you even affraid in the first place Hanky? The last hit was a critical, again by Karate Chop. I begin to love that move.

Ben proofed himself to be the most difficult trainer yet though. 4 hits by Hanky Kong is not a thing anything I faced yet could handle. So I'm proud. Moving on!

Decided to take a quick sprint back to the Pokémon Centre though ^^ Yeah, I don't want any deaths. Also, Rock Tomb almost ran out of PP.

This Trainer reminded me of a certain... task I had to fullfil. Hmmm, ohh hey, his Metapod will evolve the next level. Probably. Knowing these Bugcatchers, they'll raise their Metapods till like level 78.

Walking further, I get ridiculed for not wearing shorts. What's wrong with me? Nothing. I just have extremely hairy legs. WHICH IS A SIGN OF PURE MASCULINITY!

Anyway, he proofs to be QUITE the challenge. Another Peck, and I'd have a dead Hanky. Couldn't bear losing him now. Luckily two Karate Chops took care of this Spearow. These things are ****ing DANGEROUS man... Wish I infact got a Pikachu. BUT OH WELL...

Yeah you know, you haven't been that useful just yet...

Found this piece of grass (the other stuff gone up in smoke earlier). You can see I'm still looking for something that I haven't yet found. And since I'll probably will find a Moonstone in Mt.Moon, this would be IDEAL timing.

All I need is something that won't die by being Pecked on. NIDORAN, BE MY SAVIOUR!

My luck again... Ah well, this will be easier to train than a Pidgey at least. Let's attempt to catch it.

Yeah so that obviously went well. I liked the idea of getting a Spearow, and guess what... MODEST NATURE... Just great.

Cloud 90 almost died of poisoning, gave her my only Antidote, cause I didn't want her to die on me on the slowest, most painful death I can imagine. Even though you're no Nidoran, you deserve better than that. Also, had to run away from a lv 3 Pikachu cause I was indimated by it's potent killing power.

Yeah, shouldn't risk that. He wouldn't get killed by Peck anyway, and Thundershock can paralyse, as well as it's ability Static. Cloud90 was in serious danger of being zapped to death here. Actually, this wasn't the last Pikachu I ran away from either.

This still takes too much effort for ya, buddy. I hope you're worth it in the end, cause I'll probably could use your Confusion and various Powder moves. He can exactly take on 2 Pidgeys before he needs to heal, otherwise he'll die before his full potential has reached. Which is truely sad, in both ways.

Also, this is a lot easier than it is in Melee.

Look who shows his face up now.... Yeah, Nuzlocke challenge, but damn, wouldn't it be cool if I could get one? Kinda hurts me to faint it for my Boom Draw's exp, but what has to be done, has to be done.

To make it worse, it can Peck. Yeah, it can basically hit my whole team except Cloud90 for super effective damage. LET'S JUST RUB IT IN!
