At kill percents, am I doing dthrow to uair wrong or are your opponents not vectoring (Hate that name) right? I find myself not being able to do it a lot of times for the kill, maybe it's because I've mostly been playing against floaty chars like megaman, any ideas there?


I think you could be using side-b a lot more, especially on the taller/fatter chars. I was getting so frustrated seeing you not getting the free side-b punish against Vex. I think comparatively as a move in and of itself side-b in smash 4 is worse than in brawl, but due to the nature of this game I think side-b is better in this game compared to brawl's. I think a char like Greninja is a character you want to be cautious of using side-b against, I feel like he can punish it rather well, especially with the usmash since he ducks his head and it kills really early. Also, I think you could try using up-b more to punish people recovering low since it can kill near the edge like that or if you're on the edge you can drop down up-b if they're recovering low. That happened a lot with vex too due to the nature of DDD's recovery, you went for dair a lot, but I thought it was pretty obvious it wouldn't connect. Now if Vex had already grabbed the edge once and lost the invincibility of the edge then I think dair is probably the best choice in that situation since (I think) it's a free spike.

I've been playing diddy as my main. Anyone feel like analyzing a pretty close game I played with a Sheik? Any constructive criticism would be appreciated. Sorry for doodoo quality. You should still be able to make out the moves.

You can grab bananas with an aerial instead of an air dodge, leaving you less susceptible. Or grab them with the grab button in mid air for an instant grab and no lag.

Too many monkey flip kicks (It's a pretty good move, but instantly starting a kick every time you flip is really punishable and not very effective). The monkey flip in general got buffed quite a bit this game though, I've been humping everyone to punish them, the grab sweetspot is huuuge. There were also quite a few times you could have shield grabbed to punish when Sheik fell into your shield, but instead you did something else, which worked some of the time. Shield grabbing people that fall into your shield is generally more reliable.

MOAR peanuts. But they're a bit less effective against Sheik as a whole IMO.

I haven't been playing a lot of smash since I don't have a wII U but I'll be updating this thread with tourney sets soon. would be cool if people could help me out as well.

Daily reminder to keep practicing those D Airs! Am probably gonna use the Wii Classic Controller again, it feels to me as the best option outside the Wii U Gamepad (which my friend who owns the game uses). Any tips on using this control system?

I myself like to use the jetpack in that manner, good to know there are other semi kami kazis out there :^) 4:09 was absolutely disgusting. So cool.

Sorry for the late response, I tried many times to reply to this on my work computer but it just wouldn't work lol.
Just go with whatever feels comfortable, and sit in practice mode for a long time to get used to it. I still use practice mode a lot. I hope that answers it, I use Gamecube controller.

Glad you all enjoyed the video! ^ _ ^ We for sure need some ZeRo at Apex in here.

I asked a higher up why my attempts to change post ownership doesn't work, so hold off on making a new thread for a day or two. If they don't get back to me, we may just delete it and have you make it.
