Delzethin Showcases What Mio Could Be Like in Smash

Clamoring for hypothetical Smash character movesets? Well, Delzethin’s Challenger Approaching series of videos has you covered! This time his latest video is all about Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Mio!

Fans of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 may be wondering why he went with Mio instead of Noah. The truth is, he didn’t, or rather not entirely. You see, Noah already got a Challenger Approaching showcase. He states in the video that he went with both because either of them could work in Smash, potentially with or without the other. Anyway, as for Mio herself, Delzethin covers a ton of details on what she could end up like in Smash. These include things like her potential costumes, background, taunts, stat attributes, and moveset.

Now, about how Mio actually plays. Mio's kit has an emphasis on her unique weapons, the Dual Moonblades. She gets some nice zone-breaking potential from quite a few attacks involving them. Additionally she’s got good mobility, some very quick attacks and a special mechanic called Arts Palette. The mechanic has a meter for her special moves. Basically, her specials can be made stronger by dealing enough damage to her opponents before using them. But, there's also an exception to this rule. Her neutral special requires a different approach to filling the meter. The player must do one of two things to fill it. Either hit opponents with the powered-up specials, and/or by blocking or dodging to avoid damage.

This is just a taste of what’s discussed in the video. If you’d like to see what Mio could be like, please check out the video below:

Don’t forget that, while the Dual Moonblades are a big part of her moveset, Mio also uses the weapons of Sena and Taion for some of her moves.
