You know how they can turn this whole Sticker thing from "meh" to ****ing awesome? Let you put the stickers on your characters. Like something out of Forza Motorsport. Set up your own personal profile and then select a character in Sticker Mode. Rotate your character around and place stickers on them wherever you want. Then load up your profile for a fight and pick your customized character. There would obviously be limitations so that you're character isn't completely covered in stickers.

Imagine putting a Starman on Mario's hat for everytime you beat your best friend in a match.

Crossing my fingers for this. What do you guys think?

Actually, that isn't a bad idea. I said this earlier today, but you explained it much better. It'd be a little, ehhh... effeminant seeing a bunch of guys with stickers all over their face, but it'd be cool to have emblems of characters and stuff on the character's clothes, especially if you're able to maximize and minimize them and stuff.

Would be funny but I doubt it will happen.

I wouldn't mind a Sheik with the Tristar on her arm or back but it probably won't be done.

I was just about to make this thread lol.

I think the limitations would be no stickers on the characters face, and that should be it...also, maybe 20 stickers per Character...depending on the scale size of the stickers.

This would own and add a more strategic element to the series, too bad it'll probably be banned from tournies for sh-tty reasons.

Lol no! although it would be fun, some people might use it for evil...

putting stickers in the "controversial areas" of the characters would be distasteful IMO.

Why would stickers on your character be banned? It's not "RANDOM EVENTS THAT COULD CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME. ALSO, IT DOESNT MAKE THE ENTIRE MATCH RELY ON SKILL" , is it?

No, but the tourny community is still pretty ******** to do so.

Logically, though, there'll be stupid *** complaints and about half of the stickers would be banned from using in tournies.

Logically, though, stupid *** complaints aren't listened to, and you have no idea what you're talking about. Tournaments only ban things that make the game less about skill and more about luck.

I know, and decal stickers are destined to have additions that might just cause random events, point?

I think this would be great...and who cares if little boys put starmen on Zamus' breasts? who cares if people put a green pipe sticker in Captain Falcon's crotch....their just immature.........but it is funny for the first few seconds......(does this make me immature?.....everyone has a bit of immaturity so w/e)

it would be really cool if some stickers were emblems from other games....that way Bowser can have his symbol on him or something and we could cover Ike's cape in little stickers that will spell out "I PWN"...

How does stickers add a strategic element to the series? Also, why would an aesthetic change be banned from tournament play? It's apparent that you are spiteful about the competitive scene. There are very logical reasons in place for everything banned in tournament play, we don't just ban them for the sake of removing portions of the game.

Even items were in tournament play for a long time, and the only reason that they ended up banning them was because you could not disable capsules and boxes. While these things explode on rare occasion, there were a handful of incredibly close matches with lots of money on the line that was decided by them spawning at a bad time.

Well, this idea is a logical stretch as is from the Brawl update, what you are saying is another logical stretch from this idea. Besides, I don't see how they would have the stickers affect things other than looks. With all the zany items, ATs, and stuff they'd be a little bit crazy to add sticker powers into the mix XD.

I think that if the stickers could be put on characters that they would have said so in this update, but here is hoping. This idea could be quite humorous.

Well, think of it this way. Imagine, say, a deck of Magic: The Gathering cards or a deck of koma from Jump Superstars. You have a limit with both, and certain combinations to make a whole deck of cards or koma, each having their own way of winning (although, of course, some decks would be completely lame and baseless). Basically, if a sticker system like this was implemented, each one could have their own, original power, and when combined, it would be like a deck of cards/koma and is possible to make really good strategic combinations, if you know what I mean.
Also, why would an aesthetic change be banned from tournament play?
Some stickers could have an effect like, "30% chance of critical hit." or something, being random to have certain attacks to be more critical that others.

No, I hate the community more than anything else, and I trully feel when certain parts are banned, it takes away from the original premise and point from the game (unless it was something like a certain glitch or something, like the infinite Dragon Fist move glitch in the Fist of the North Star game by Sega). But that's just my opinion, and yes I've played SSBM for years now, I'm not a "scrub", "n00b", etc., I just have a different idea when I play SSBM.

Or the stickers could just not have special powers... Oh, by the way, how long you've been playing has nothing to do with being a noob or scrub. I've seen pros who have been playing for less than a year. I've seen scrubs who've been playing since 2001.

Anyway, I like this idea, but I dont think it'll happen.

Point? I'm still knowledgeable and play pretty good when it comes to Smash, although I honestly can say I don't waste my time playing it 24/7, but none-the-less I play it well.

Like I said before, the chances that you could decal your player are already slim and is just a pipedream as is from the OT. It'd be awesome if they did it, but it's not likely. You are taking this a whole nother step and saying that they could add effects, which makes even less sense.

On top of that, of course that kind of thing would be banned in tournament play. Do you see people in Soul Calibur tournaments using some of the crazy weapons??? No. The reason is cause those were added for fun, and they cause a massive imbalance in the game. Just because a game has a million fun features doesn't make it appropriate for competitive play. In this case it's a no brainer.

You don't even know why we banned it in the first place. We have reasons and they occured over the years and years of smash play. It seems that a lot of the casual players don't seem to realize this, and makes the assumption that we removed it out of bias. You also are clouded by your own feelings when it comes to this forum and it's community if you hate it. Why are you here if you hate the community? I tend to think if someone disliked something they would simply leave it alone, yet you are stirring things up.

A lot of the players on this board don't play the game that much. In fact most of the pros tend to rarely play the game it seems. They would only play on a smashfest or a tournament with the occasional get together and the like. This is another common assumption by casual players, that smash is a job or is our life. Smash is just a fun hobby. We don't play it much more than you do. Hell I'm lucky to really play once a week for a few hours. Sure, some of the technical stuff takes some time to learn, but past that we play (ironically) pretty casually.
Too bad it'll be idiotic flames and nothing that's sensible.
I know a lot of people here bash casual players, but you aren't any better if you just bash us back. If you want to be respected you should in turn show respect, as well as maturity when it comes to stuff like this. A lot of the bashing crowd won't care, but for people like me and other veterans, it goes a long way.

I was saying an example, I'm not debating if this is going to be in the game or not, I don't think it is really, don't take it way too seriously.

Isn't that the point in a thread discussion a something that could be in Brawl in a "What if?" manner?

You just asked how it wouldn't be banned and supported the notion that it won't be banned, so I don't get your point, you're just being hypocritical.
You don't even know why we banned it in the first place. We have reasons and they occured over the years and years of smash play.
Yeah, I do know the reasons, but you could easily ban more simpler things like what these reasons are (mostly a character could exploit a certain element of the stage)
It seems that a lot of the casual players don't seem to realize this, and makes the assumption that we removed it out of bias.
I obviously don't.

For the lulz.

No, I do this for internet justice.

Why would I care for the respect of a community full of people who constantly think that the only way to go is to play Fox vs. Fox on Battlefield without items? Seriously.

I was saying an example, I'm not debating if this is going to be in the game or not, I don't think it is really, don't take it way too seriously. (Don't take what Mookie says too seriously either then. In fact, stop repsonding since you take this game way too seriously if you come to Smash Boards and talk about this game to a community you do not like.)

Isn't that the point in a thread discussion a something that could be in Brawl in a "What if?" manner? (I can also say what if Captain Falcon had a move that destroyed everyone in the stage at once. Doesn't make your or my "what if" any more realistic.)

You just asked how it wouldn't be banned and supported the notion that it won't be banned, so I don't get your point, you're just being hypocritical. (He said that stickers won't be banned because at best it would be just aesthetic changes. . . . . .your "what if" would be banned.)

Yeah, I do know the reasons, but you could easily ban more simpler things like what these reasons are (mostly a character could exploit a certain element of the stage) (That would be really stupid. Would there be a referee on each tv to see if you are doing these "banned" moves? If you ban characters on certain stages, then counterpicks could be used to make you choose another character which would be stupid. Hopefully, you wouldn't consider a character ban stage dependent or not. Seriously, you probably would ban characters because "OMG, those broken characters made my favorite stage get banned!")

I obviously don't. (You obviously are. Try harder.)

Not really. (Yes, really)

For the lulz. (To be dumb. . . . . . . it's about as good as reason for me even responding to you. I know that your close mindness will always block reason.)

No, I do this for internet justice. (Or some other sentimental garbage or whatever that **** is at 4chan. Way to be modest there son. "We have no morals but we are the internet police on morals" lawlz.)

Naw, really? (Yes, really)

I never assumed that, I only assumed that pretty much everything takes the game way too seriously, and that's a fact. (Not even close. Try harder)

Yes I am. (You are worse)

Why would I care for the respect of a community full of people who constantly think that the only way to go is to play Fox vs. Fox on Battlefield without items? Seriously. (This is why you are worse. Please, people play different characters and different stages. Saying stupid generalizations that are in fact wrong is stupid. Kindly discuss it at 4chan please. OMG I don't play that character. :o)

Everything in the red is me. I pointed this out because you seem to have no comprehension skills.

Yes all of us tourney***s are going to ban stickers so 4chan people would cry. Why? Because we have no sense and only want to spread misery to all the casual players. [/sarcasm]

Please try harder. Ok. :)
