Timing.

Depends on some players. If the ddd is good enough you most likely won't get the jab. Most don't get the timing exactly right. If there is a small gap, you will punch.

For Snake V. Dedede, if the Dedede does it right, you're not getting out

I have noticed that some characters can get out of the chain grab by jabbing, but if the DDD calls it, you are in the perfect spot for an fsmash (which kills in the teens). So while you may be able to get out of it by jabbing some of the time, you may get fsmashed for a low percent death.

If DDD can land his >smash on you, YOU DESERVE TO DIE. Not only is it the strongest smash, it's the slowest as well and needs to be sweet spotted.

You can jab out of his chain grab if he isn't dash canceling. If he is... don't mash on the buttons? Chances are if he's dash canceling he'll be throwing you fast enough so you can't wriggle out. Sit it out and wait to counter I guess. An accidental nuetral air on the end of if could seal your fate.

Jab works on scrubby D3's that don't know how to vary/delay chain grabbing.

Yeah when I originally posted that you just hold A, I forgot that I fight against New Mexico smashers. They suck.

i play good dedede's, and theres no way i can get out, i tested everything.

I think you can get out if you are carrying a grenade. So just always have a grenade in hand. Grenades are like duct tape. They fix everything.

And Stalfoe, here is a fun DDD trick. Getting caught in the wattle doo eye laser thingy is a perfect setup for the fsmash.

Stay away from Waddle doo, or gordos, or **** just don't let that friggen penguin chuck crap at you. I have seen that eye laser trick though, pretty sneaky.

AFAIK, you really cant get out of it if the DDD's CG is perfect. If he messed up, you can either bring out a grenade or hold A.
