Just to let those who are not aware know, for much of the world, the clocks went back this weekend. Japan does not use DST, so if your clock went back, you're getting the Brawl update an hour later. This will suck for me, as I live in England, and I am used to getting the update at 8AM, which is when I get up. For the past few months it's been a good start to the morning. Now, it'll be updated at 9... when I'm at work...

I believe clocks in the US are not going back until next weekend, however. So, as of then, those who like to stay up late will have to lose another hour of sleep.

This message has been brought to you by a miserable a*shole.

The timeframe will remain the same until Spring... not just Sunday.

...Also, you're doing what with the "EARTH" ...?

I'm sorry, I don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Daylight Saving Time is world effected... Starting on next Sunday, not today if you're living in the US, at 12:00 AM you will go backward an hour which turns Saturday for another hour... The reason we have Daylight Saving is like why we have 28 days in February (29 days for every 4 years)...

Don't be so dramatic. Its not like smash is the whole world to you, right??
Sorry, was I displaying drama? I apologise. It's an irritation, is all. Many people in England won't be able to see the update now for another 9 hours when they get home from work, which is extremely irritating.

Also, you can see the countries that daylight saving time affects.

As you can see, anywhere that uses DST will be getting their updates an hour later from now on (or from next Sunday if you live in the US).

Who cares?

Check the updates when your waking up.
He already SAID that he usually wakes up around 8 which is when the Dojo is updated in England. Now that it will be updated at 9 now he can't see it until he gets home from work. Pay attention to his post next time.

And it's "you're", not "your".

This year Daylight Saving Time doesn't take effect until 2 am the first Sunday in November, instead of the last Sunday in October.

Good luck to everyone that screwed up and changed their clocks this morning.

We haven't had a Smash update since the clocks changed so who says the updates will go forward? Plus if they do we can check to USA site instead.

Also correcting minor spelling mistakes like that is rude.

Not everyone lives in the US you know. Here in the United Kingdom the clocks have changed already.

Look Northern hemisphere goes back an hour and souther goes forward one. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out, I mean you're gonna notice when you're constantly early/ late for things.

Oh my god.

You can't check the USA update if the UK update moves forward, because the update isn't moving at all. It's at the same time, everywhere in the world.

This thread makes me depressed.

P.S.

A free hint: If you're not sure whether to turn clocks backwards or forwards, there's a thumb rule - in northern hemisphere always turn clocks "towards" June and in southern hemisphere towards December- Get it? No?

Um, no. Daylight Savings Time doesn't change the length of the year. It's not used to keep the year on schedule with the earth's rotation around the sun, the way Leap Day is. It's used to put more daylight in the typical human's active period: from 7:00 to 11:00. This saves on electricity because people aren't using electric lights.

Also, if you're in the US, remember to wait another week before switching your clocks.

And if you don't know which way to turn your clock, think "Spring forward; Fall back." But only if you live in the northern hemisphere, please. Switch it if you're South African or Australian.

Its hard to understand the way people are phrasing things. I thought they ment moved forward to match the time it was before the clocks changed.

But I over slept this morning so the update was there as soon as I woke up either way.

About two people in this thread have it right so far. We'll be getting the updates an hour earlier once we set our clocks back an hour. For me, 3 AM becomes 2 AM....

Same here, which is a nice change. Some nights I would doze off before the update. Now, I won't have to worry about that. =)
